Rememberance, the Cenotaph, is about all victims of war. The civilians, the dear departed. It is about the Palestinians, the Germans, The Russians, the foes and friends and all the victims of the obscentity of War. It is transcendent. Friends and foes alike. The Cenotaph stands above all partisan issues. I have no agenda, I am grinding no axe. Rememberance is standing humbly before human tragedy and being humble in the face of the great wheels of history that run all over all of us. Rememberance Sunday is about Humanity.
