Wall climber is such a good mission to refill the cash reserves. I also prefer the laser pistols over the hand guns, but they definitely are nothing to sleep on too.
Handguns are deffinitly more menacing than people give it credit Coming from me who suffered through dual Handgun build in Last Raven.... They make a REALLY good speedster Stagger build If you want to be evil, get 4 Handguns And see your opponent constantly getting Staggered But a Handgun + Plasma Missiles also work
I have been going from medium to super light speedy build and realize that the dual Dockett is really powerful tool at staggering enemies. Previously I would use flamethrower and songbird this boss. The boss dies even before Rusty finished his conversation....
I loved running dual pistols in early game. I’m in ng++ now and I run dual needle launcher pistols and dual kinetic turrents(the drone that shoots bullets) but I’m also thinking of trying out the dual needle launcher shoulder weapons on both shoulders so I get 6 barrels of needle launchers. And the weapons are so light I can run them on an ultra light mech with high boost speed and quick boost, only negative is the double barrel needle launchers make you stop in place which is not ideal. With dual bullet drones this is not an issue and is even lighter so you are slightly faster
I wish the handguns had more bullet reserve than what it currently has. I used dual handguns built until Balteus where I ran out of ammo halfway through and had to switched out my early build henceforth. I'm only at the point where you had to fight the PCA Warrant officer to reclaim the wall in the game and there's no other handguns in the shop. Sadge.
Dual handguns with dual laser cannons on the shoulder got me through him. Handgun staggers and lasers deal big damage to shields and big direct hit damage.
You should try out duel burst sampu handguns. They deal serious stagger damage letting you dash in and slice them apart with your melee weapon of choice, mine being the laser dagger. I also run the burst ar/smg as a backup weapon. Super fun with a light build
Oh damn, I need to try out handguns then. I kinda dismissed them since, well, they are described as handguns, but god damn they hit harder than most assault rifles. Perhaps I'll fit in there somewhere shoulder laser cannon as well. Those things are awesome
Hit hard, but short ranged and with low ammo. I run one on the same arm as my pile bunker using the shoulder bay, meaning I can carry heavier stuff on the other shoulder and arm for sustained fights.
@@Aurilion44 in my experience they’re ok for getting the stagger you need to then land something that does real damage, but yeah. They’re no shotgun, but they do everything they do on minimal energy and weight cost which helps.

How does the hand gun stagger so much!? Love the build, might take a page from you. I used to run the dual smgs, forgot the name, the first ones you get. I kept running out of ammo so I dropped them.
Handguns ALLWAYS have this kind of stat in the past Armored Core games Good fire rate Decent damage(Better than most Rifles even) Low ammo Below average range Stupidly high stagger And INCREDIBLY light
ballistic handguns have high stagger damage but a very short range. So they're either going to just bounce off(if outside effective range) or tear through the stagger bar. They don't have too much ammo either, so best combo'd with melee or other options to capitalize on the stagger. Laser pistols are the exact opposite. Decently long effective range, good damage, massive ammo capacity, but very low stagger damage.
Ill check them out tonight, this game is so fun glad I took a risk purchasing it, they should give the training away as a demo to get more sales@@suntzuishere
you get a shoulder mounting. you can equip any main hand weapon on your shoulder, but you can't use it. your shoulder button act as swapping the weapons between your shoulder and main hand. this is unlockable via OS tuning feature.
I have a fun build called, "middle finger to this one in particular " Dual Shotguns with dual chain guns in the reserve pack. Shotgun them to stagger, then delete with chain guns. Rinse and repeat. It's mean.
What armor did you use for the mission? I am still confused with the builds/damage because the handguns seems to have so little damage output based on the numbers, but I could be missing something. Yeah, I can't get s rank on anything. How do you avoid damage? It seems like even with dodging and maneuvering, I still take damage.
Handguns just to break their staggered meter. The damage comes from the laser blade, and missiles (you can use better damage missile than what i used in the video). Avoiding damage is not easiest thing to do, especially when outnumbered, i also still got hit so many times. Just have to practice that reflexes and learn the enemy pattern.
