So many guitar players today. But once in a great while someone comes along that doesn't just play what's trendy for the day but has a style so unique that it catches everyone off guard. This is the age of Kanami Tono.
Don't Be Long, aka Etude to Miku. Written by Kanami for her student Miku to learn techniques she'd need to play the more difficult song that is Different. How many bands have a member who would do this? Not many.
This is by the way Miku's practice song in order to play Different and other Unseen World technicality songs given by Kanami-sensei. Watching this live and seeing Miku going around the guitar neck constantly and holding the whole song rhythmically puts a smile on my pride as I watch her grow more into a great rhythm guitarist.
Don´t be long... not bad for an etude, isn´t it?. The reason for composing this song was for training Miku in the complexities and speed of Different, the opening song of LogHorizon 3. Kanami's brain works "differently" I guess. Amazing.

Some play by the rules, others don't know the rules. Kanami is one of those that know the rules, but breaks them. A lot. The way great artists do. This particular track gives me a bit of a Jeff Beck vibe. Just in the way Kanami jams on a particular melody line, kinda like Beck's "Blue Wind" and some other tracks.

Its not her complexity that is amazing about her playing.... its her super-human accuracy no matter what she's playing. And Onset is still my favorite instrumental. :)
Actually, kanami is the one with the most error while playing live (what I see from their online show). It's understandable tho, most of the error is from their new song, and it's not that simple at all.
@@monke-mk5 In their own words, in some interviews, Kanami and Saiki are the most prone to make mistakes followed by Akane and Miku. The only one that seems to be flawless is MISA. The perfection made beauty. .
@@monke-mk5 Agree. Her part is complex with lots of changes in timing and riffs and needs time to play in live to master it, which they don't have right now under the circumstances. I admire her challenge. She could just play songs much simpler to show her accuracy if she wants to, but that' not what fans are waiting for.

Ryan, greetings! It has been a warm day great for (professional) gardening and bringing 4 varieties of mint for my favorite tacos bar in Shizuoka to help them concoct original Mojitos! I highly recommend you check out Without Holding Back, the No God instrumental. and the Giovanni instrumental if you can get a hold of the videos. They will all blow your mind.
That show must have been nuts. Mincho was on a different level, as were the rest. The same guy posted the song "You". It's almost scary but the lead piece has some really pro moves in it.

I agree... the little solo I learned.... the end of it was actually pretty tricky. I may have been playing it wrong, I've no idea.
