Yoda became a Jedi master at age 100 and for 800 years he reigned as the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, trained numerous padawans. Yoda at his peak can take on mountains and what you see is Yoda way past his prime he can lift a starship with one hand. It was this moment that Yoda became one of my favorite mentor characters and George Lucas didn’t give us any info about Yoda for he believed that the mystery made Yoda very unique and he was right.
For my ally is the force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy, surrounds us, and binds us, luminous beings are we, not this crude matter, you must feel the force around you. Here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere. Yes, even between land, and ship." I feel not enough reactors react to the entirity of this speech. With a few short words, Yoda is emparting the truth of the Jedi, that their strength is everywhere, because the force is everywhere, it is always with them, surrounding them, that with a deeper connection to the force, there is nothing they can't do, even going beyond death to live on within the force. This entire scene is one of my favourites, and never fails to send chills down my spine.
I think the part when yoda lifts red one out of the swamp and everyone is like, “he’s so powerful” he said it him self, without belief in yourself you will fail. His knowledge in the force is unmatched, but he makes it clear that everyone and anything can tap into that same power. The philosophy of mind over matter and clearing your mind to focus, is the epitome of being a Jedi.
It's sad to check how the Yoda from the 80s feels more real and alive than all the actual monsters and fantasy creatures made the 21st century's CGI. What the hell happened us to lose soul and heart to make good movies and remarkable characters?.

@Mokkari77 No to everyone. The new Star Wars have horrendous ratings. Skeleton crew and the Acolyte did absolutely abysmal. People don't want or care about Disney Star Wars. They've run it into the ground with race swapping, feminist, identity politics, and people are absolutely sick of it. No one is watching it anymore.
Luke's training with Yoda and Vader's redemption and reconcile with Luke towards the end are my two favorite things about Return of the Jedi. The morals, the lessons, the teachings, the way Luke never gives up on Vader. Definitely my second favorite from the OG Trilogy.
She didn't know that she couldn't. She had heard all these legends of Luke and other Jedi and how they make things float. She knew Jedi did it all the time so had no reason to doubt herself. So she just did it.
@So? I hear of people lifting 200 pounds with their bare hands, doesn’t mean I can just do it. Jedi have to train and condition their mind and body over the course of years and years to master the Force. The sequels are just a masterclass in bad writing and poor lore comprehension.
If it was modern Star Wars, Luke would have been a woman and used the force to pull the X-Wing out first try, while glaring at Yoda for "mansplaining" the force to her cause she is perfect and good at everything. Yoda would also be a grumpy loser who could no longer use the force and refuses to train our female hero.
Lukes has m0re doubt then he has Faith at this time and that's why not every Jedi is the same some learn faster than others ,, nothing wrong with the sequels
Every reactor: Yoda is so powerful
Yoda is a Jedi Grand Master

You are spot on. "Judge me by my size do you" oh the boy has no patience
Luke: "I don't believe it." Yoda: "That . . . will be 400,000 credits."
One of my favorite scenes in all of Star Wars. Thank you for making this!
My favourite scene in the whole saga... you see Luke starting to figure things out and you see hope that good will win over evil
Having watched this movie and specifically this scene thousands of times since 1980 i still get emotional... ❤️

I remember when I first saw this in the cinema I was so inpressed with this sequence with of course John Williams fantastic music.

DEI
No, seriously.
No one hates good CGI, only bad CGI.
@@Z1gguratVert1go I agree. But it's still CGI anyway. Your mind already assumes from the beginning that it is unreal.

he who does not believe...does not succeed.
Counting together the running times of all 9 episodes this scene is the exact midpoint of the whole Skywalker Saga. Very fitting.
There are only 6 Star Wars Episodes.

i know its obvious but hearing this at different points in your life is just so cool.

I mean...Yoda's words make serious sense even in everyday life.
18:26 "Maybe we put it back and then let him do it again"
I'd love to see that in the film!
Muppet powers, activate!
99% of the scene was done by the Music . John Williams a total genius.
Underselling Frank Oz's performance.
@@scottb3034 That muppets acting abilities surpass most actors of the modern day and many of the past
Aluminess beings we are not this crude matter in other words we have a soul that will live on after our flesh is gone and it wants to shine
John Williams’s score here is my favorite movie music ever.
Puppet Yoda was the best Yoda. I was so happy The Last Jedi used a puppet and brought back Frank Oz.
I was expecting some joke about Luke failing to get it up ... 😅
"Judge me by my size, do you?"
What every man wants to ask women, but can't.
The difference between old Star Wars writing, and new Stars Wars writing...
This is/was my favorite "perfect" movie.... Dune 2 is now tied. ;-)
Dune doesn't stack up. At least the filmed Dune stuff.
When Star Wars was still glorious!
Judge me by me size do you, you want the impossible. I cant believe it, that is why you fail.... oooh Do or do not there is no try. Yoda is the best.
CINEMA !
"Luminous beings are we..."
"Not this crude matter." That's one of the greatest lines from the Star Wars franchise.
Pffft... meanwhile Rey, an untrained non-Jedi, is easily lifting hundreds of big azz boulders all at once. Poor Luke. 😂
That was after she was trained by Luke.
Who?
She didn't know that she couldn't. She had heard all these legends of Luke and other Jedi and how they make things float. She knew Jedi did it all the time so had no reason to doubt herself. So she just did it.

The only difference is in your mind in other words your carnal brain we are luminous beings we have a soul that wants to shine
Who is the reactor at 11:40 or so with the question counter? Is really like to see more of their reactions!
VKunia. The channel names and time stamps are in the description.
@Shiftry87 oh thanks so much!
😎👍
this is why nothing in the prequels makes sense...
I want Yoda to be my like coach, but not my GPS voice
This last girl looks like Adele
No prayer no power , not physical power but spiritual power too overcome the cares of this transfixion world
Laugh out loud that would be funny if Yoda would put it back
I'm sure Yoda could have done that a whole lot easier at age 100 or maybe even 50
At Yoda’s peak he can take down mountains and what you just saw was him way past his prime and yet he still someone you do not want to mess with.

That second and third reactors are extremely annoying. Thanks for the heads up to avoid their channels
Lol, so true.
Could you imagine sitting behind/beside them in a cinema/living room????
