Shuhua definitely sounds different every time it's not Korean. I think she doesn't have a problem with singing per se but with singing in Korean. Yes, you can train certain things to a certain extent, but in the end your voice is the way it is and Soyeon always encourages the others to accept their voices exactly as they are.
Interesting. I didn't know she was having any struggles, but whatever is more comfortable for her, it's working! Go Shuhua! ⛓️❤️⛓️
@@ChainReactionsChannel Shuhua has improved a lot over the years. But a lot of the criticism comes because she's a pretty good student in a gifted class. In many other groups, she wouldn''t have got called out so much. In gidle, she gets compared to the other members, who are either geniuses (e.g. Soyeon) or have improved like crazy (e.g. Yuqi)
@@Mint52353 I agree with you. Besides, I wouldn't necessarily rule out the possibility that Cube had his fingers involved. There must be a reason why Shuhua has such problems with the language, maybe there's something going on in the background that we have no idea about. I know how that sounds, I just have this inner urge to want to protect Shuhua 😅😅
@@ChainReactionsChannelif I am not wrong there is a slow song they sang in a show that is in Chinese and she sounded absolutely ethereal. There is also many many covers they did in shows like "That That" when she absolutely stands out. I dont think its only about language, but it definitely plays a part
For B-side tracks in this album, I saw many Neverland tear up. They are so meaningful to us.

This album shows the effects of their experiences since "Heat", where they are all expressing themselves more and more as individual talents and what they bring to the group. They have brought so much happiness to my life, and I love them all so much, and try not to think about the unthinkable.
I'm looking at it as a celebration and love letter rather than the other thing too! Like I said in the video, I just got here!! 😭

Bloom is my favorite song from this mini album, in my opinion this should have been the summer song.
I definitely see how Bloom is a great summer song, it has the more laid back summer vibe and Klaxon is more like the party summer vibe.
As a beardy fella myself, it warns my heart to see another beardy fella like yourself, seeing what i see in gidle. I came to kpop from enjoying rock, grunge and late 90s rap, hiphop and r&b looking for new music to explore and found Oh My God and was really struck by the artistry, the musicality and of course Soyeon's genius shining through. I don't normally watch reactions, but i like your analysis and mindset. I think Neverland evokes those emotions in all of us.
Last Forever is absoltuely fantastic and one of my favorite bsides in a minute. Yuqi COOKED witht hat oh my god
So happy to hear that you are reacting to the “I Sway” album! You are reacted to the song “Neverland” as I did. I knew once I found out that Miyeon and Yugi wrote it that it was going to hit hard! Miyeon is a very poetic lyricist in the last three songs she wrote have always hit the heart! Our little Princess Cho Miyeon has the biggest heart and always has talked about how much she loves us/Neverland and had the opportunity to write to us she jump on it!
She mentioned in an interview using a butterfly as a metaphor for the fans/Neverland growing together through the toughest times and get through it all together! So hold my hand we will continue growing and going forward through it together!
Miyeon also mentioned staying up with Minnie while she was trying to complete writing “Bloom” and she was surprised that Minnie was also using a butterfly in her song!
There was an interview with Soyeon and Miyeon and they both spoke about wanting to continue being G-idle for as long as possible, that it is the best thing in their lives.
Please don’t skip listening to “Neverland” it is truly a love song to us!❤

Being a real Neverland since I burn release, (G)I-DLE became not only my favorite K-Pop group, but my overall favorite musical artists, Neverland caught me hard, I am someone really emotionnal either way, but that one got me really weeping... And despite all the love it was hard not hearing a kind of goodbye in the song.
Anyway, you delivered an incredible video as always, thoughtfull and analytical, so thank you for that because not everyone put so much work in reaction videos as you do.
I love this album so much, Last forever and Neverland made me cry. I feel like Bloom is where MInnie and Shuhua were having lots of fun in the studio, Minnie cheering Shuhua on. I love these girls so much, they put so much time into their songs, it's wonderful. Voices are insane, i love all their voices
@@JiU_MY_LOVE yes their voices sound really good in every one of these songs! It's a very sweet album, and after hearing everything Klaxon is definitely more of an outlier. Kind of tricked me into thinking the album was going to be very different lol!

I tend to analyze the entire album, with each song complementing each other. From my perspective, it is clear that Klaxon has the purpose of being the opener of the album, being the most commercial proposal. And as usual with I-DLE, as towards the end, the album becomes more personal and emotional. Since "I AM" with "Hear Me" at the end of the album, take this approach when appreciating their songs.
Like you i arrived later to the party, so I understand your desire for them to continue.

My fav is probably 'Last Forever' by Yuqi bc I'm a Yuqi stan (can't wait for my Yuqi edition of the Album with the casette). But also bc it's almost full english which means I can scream it from the top of my lungs without it sounding like an alien language (my korean is even worse than my marsian). Also I refuse to listen to that last song because it always makes me think of the sheer possibility of Idle disbanding AND I DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT THAT! A World without idle would be a much sadder place, ngl. All of them would make great solo careers, no doubt! And of course they have to leave Cube asap (no subs on Klaxon at release? 10/10 again Cube).
But all song are great and I find myself humming all of them even after just one week of release ❤
So jelly idle are coming to the US again. Just got all my Courage up to visit a concert this year but so far no european dates 😭 praying to my idle altar
They are really a very important group to me, and Neverland is a very important fandom to me so yeah this one was emotional! Last Forever is so good, the optimism and encouragement from that song definitely contributed to the whole EP feeling emotional. (Well maybe Klaxon isn't so emotional but it's something else 😍)
I want to say this because its so true. I really love your passion for your craft. You have this knack to taking songs that, upon my first listen, I thought were just okay. Then I watch your reactions and through your analysis and your passion, I end up loving the song. Well done Sir. (g)idle is just so freakin' amazing. I know the mastermind is Soyeon, but these ladies are the 5 Diamonds

A mini album for sure but full of great lyrics. Neverland is like that slow song at a concert where we all cry together, an incredibly well written song. I love how there's a bit of everything despite it being only 4 tracks total, they went for the summer song in Klaxon but in true Idle fashion went with the deeper lyrics in the other ones. Despite what everyone says and think, I think Idle is still at its peak, I don't see the end just yet, I want to think they'll go on with or without Cube.
I love how with Klaxon they made me think the album would be like that and they said NOPE! We'll do an inspirational anthem, a nice summer song, and a beautifully moving love letter. Amazing.⛓️❤️⛓️
Your fears and emotions about Neverland are the same reason I had to buy an upgraded ticket I couldn’t really afford to see them this upcoming tour. I can’t know what’s about to happen, so I won’t pass up the chance to see them live right now. My bills will just have to wait a little longer.

@@ChainReactionsChannel I enjoy all the songs off the album, but I think that "Neverland" is my favorite. I really like the wistful, melancholic sound of the vocals, and I really like Soyeon's rap. ; )
Shuhua definitely sounds different in english, even more confident so, wich is interesting because as far as I have seen only Minnie and Yuqi are "fluent" on it. I personally tend to love her english lines more than the korean ones cause they sound really clean.
A fun fact is that the reason she had so little lines in their old songs was because Shuhua specificlly asked that to Soyeon, and Soyeon respected her wish. But when you look back Shu also get many memorable moments on MV's (she has the most beautiful scene in Hwaa and a short dance performance in Hann) and also got to make an special performance for Lion during Queendon - knowing Soyeon it was probably her way of letting their maknae shine
Shuhua was particularly beautiful in this album.
I really truly hope they don’t disband next year. Even if they don’t stay with Cube, I hope they stay together. I’m sure they’ll have at least one more album under this contract and I hope a Minnie solo album

Shuhua was known as Vocal Chameleon when they still OT6. I think I SWAY was their disbandment album to CUBE since CUBE was trying to get the (G) I-DLE trademark so if the girls leave CUBE they can't use their name and songs. My fave was Last Forever second was Bloom since they can easily dethrone Klaxon as an title track
Neverland is the perfect end of a concert song for me.

Some error in lyric video where Shuhua was singing but it was marked as Minnie. But it does not matter, I think it is really good that Shuhua stood out in this Album and they all slays hard…

My take on Neverland lyrics assuming they were written mostly by Miyeon (with Yuqi doing the original demo mainly in English)
Song splits into 3 parts. The 1st part seems like a description of pre-debut to debut. And if you know Miyeon's pre-debut story, the "long way to see you" + "spring time was anxious" + "forget about past days" makes sense (though of course it does apply to other members as well)
The 2nd part seems like OT6 days. Not much success but "I've found my place" up till the drama/darkness intruding in expressed via Soyeon's rap
The 3rd part: The final parts of the rap leading into the final chorus starts getting more hopeful again (with the music picking up). And it would seem to reference the post-Tomboy days leading into the future ("time to fly")
Thank god Neverland wasn't a full song, lord help us all if it was, but thanks to the kpop gods, its not lmao
