    Just finished watching the movie, and though everyone told me the movie was "disappointing", I wish I had seen it sooner because it was so good. But this interview is even better than the movie... God is good.

    I just watched this movie for the first time last night and was blown away by the quotes and their vows. As a man, it felt really, really good to watch and feel right along with Channing Tatums' character.

    Only through the Grace of God can see someone through this kind of situation.Human Love is so imperfect.I wish we could all see the role of God's love in the heart of the Man that made him endure through this process and also the commitment to a vow made before God that helped her stay.

    3. They BOTH worked to rekindle their relationship. 4. Both of their families were supportive of everything. And there were other differences that I won't get into. The movie was good, but that is just it, good. It strayed way too far from the actual events... I have seen way better love story movies.... BUT the true story of Kim and Krickitt is overall one of the most inspirational, heartwarning stories of true love and faith that I have heard.

    I usually only watch movies after I have read the book. On this occasion I saw the movie first and then read the book. I am glad I did this because I did not connect at all with the movie. The book touched me far deeper than the movie. The real story is incredible because of their faith which the movie completely left out. The commitment this couple made is so inspiring. I wish the movie reflected the book better. Thank you for sharing your story. Blessings!

    Maybe we all ought to learn from them. They placed their hands in God and followed his word. It may be annoying to someone who doesn't understand the values of these people. They are to be commended as Christians and human beings. Nice to know someone takes their marriage vows seriously even under such unfortunate circumstances. Modern society can learn profound lessons from this couple.

  • @utubetommy
    @utubetommy 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Perhaps it's because those who have faith in a higher power that sets some fundamental rules of how to deal with one another is far more effective than trusting our most base instincts. Everyone is tempted at one time or another to do other than the right thing, so a book of how to deal with one another makes a lot of sense.

  • @utubetommy
    @utubetommy 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Society must have rules to exist. Just because society changes doesn't necessarily means the rules should change to reflect changes in society. Rules are generally made to insure that the expectation of behavior never drops below a certain level. When that happens, individuals get hurt and society suffers as a result. We can either choose ordered liberty or anarchy, in ourselves and others. Whether a book is 1700 years or not, one can still learn valuable lessons from it.

    OK, someone made a comment comparing the Lord to pizza???? Maybe they mentioned the Lord because of the impact He has made in their lives, seriously, can pizza do that? Gimme a break. Another one commented that they only stayed together to stay true to God whereas in the movie ( which they claim is so much better) it was all about their love for one another. Think about it, love was the reason they got married in the first place.

  • @Marlynnamm
    @Marlynnamm 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Your Vows also said to LOVE, but don't see any if that. so of course they don't have a happy marriage because their married to the invisible skydaddy and not each othet. For Krickett to say she had to " make herself love him" should have been " Pretend to love him". No one can force themselves to feel love for someone. If they'd gone their separate ways instead of letting religion & unfounded Myths get their way, Both would probably be happy & madly in love with each other. I've been married 16 years and he still gives me goosebumps, my heart still flutters and we're as happy as we were the day we got married and it's all because WE FEEL THE LOVE FOR EACH OTHER. it is not cool to go around teaching the world that marriage doesn't need love only god and faith, that's complete bullshit. Oh how religion ruins everything.

    • @TylerSmith-vf4ql
      @TylerSmith-vf4ql 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      At no point did this couple ever say marriage doesn't need love. The greatest way to love someone is by sticking beside them in times of trouble. She didn't even know who he was because of the accident. It was their vow to each other and to God that kept them together, that even allowed them to love each other again. "religion ruins everything"... apparently not for this couple. They wouldn't have survived without God. Somebody shares their story, and people disagree with it, when it's their story, not yours. Amusing stuff!

    • @Spiritfba
      @Spiritfba 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You seem to have a narrow minded view on love. Just because your relationship is one way, it doesn't make someone else's way wrong. Love is not always about fluttering feelings. Sometimes it's a choice. Some people have faith as a cornerstone in their marriage, some people don't. Why are you so hostile? Just enjoy your lovely marriage and let people live.

    because obviously you have no real idea what love is or what a wedding vow truly represents. marriage is work. no matter what. there are struggles but ultimately its the couple's love for one another and the vow they make under God that ensures its strength.

  • @ryusuna

    Maybe, but the rules of society change constantly. I would't follow a medical book from the 17th century, neither would I take advise from a 1700 year old book filled with ancient jewish laws and stories. I don't think that the bible/koran or some hindu book is the thing that makes us fight for ourselfs or each other. It's possibly as simple as survival instinct and feelings of companionship that helps us.

  • @amandalance1287
    @amandalance1287 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The movie was a LOOSE ADAPTATION of the true story. A lot of things were different in the movie that took away from the heart and moral fiber. 1. Kim and Krickitt didn't live together until AFTER they were married. Didn't have sex until AFTER they were married, the couple in the movie obviously engaged in premarital sex. 2. There is no mention in the movie of the role that their faith in God and both of their commitments to their vows played into their relationship.

    Well I'm a person who believes that the greatest flaw in humanity is that we have a lack of standing for ourselves, without laying our hands in somebody else's. It doesn't matter if it's a deity like Krishna or if it is a politician like Obama. Why can't people ever stand for themselves and just admitt that they can be proud or ashamed of what they did without laying it on somebody else. The govorment can't be taken accounted for "saving you marriage" and so can't a deity in my mind.

    I'm getting kinda anoyed at the whole "god almighty" thing they got going on during the interview. I mean not to be against religion but it's like somebody would mention pizza-dough every 5 minutes? it would be so baffeling and like "what the hell? don't you guys think of anything else but pizza?"
