On the Necro vs Khvostov, take the point that the splash is harder to activate, but don’t forget the Necro catalyst gives One for Thrall, and OFA tends to be strong in high health encounters. In the knights example very easy to spray all three and get the buff. I think it can refresh too unlike OFA.
18:42 I agree so much. Eyes of Tomorrow is genuinely my favourite exotic in the whole game… if it was just a better weapon. I want to love it so much more but I can’t because it’s just so bad, locking on to targets and firing the barrage, seeing the rockets fly up and then rain down is so sick, but ultimately not as useful and one would hope. Also boss damage blows. I really hope this gun gets a catalyst or mini rework to make it relevant, it is one of if not the coolest designed guns Bungie has ever made.
I think the reason sunshot is so much better than graviton is because sunshot is a single hit, and has incredible stats The handling and reload are high making it consistent and being a hc it can hurt majors much better, since fodder will already crumple to an exotic primary Graviton can work, but its slower thanks to handling/reload, the burst is packed into 2nd shot so its a glorified hc, and it doesnt have the major killing potential Worth noting how important explosive payload is to sunshot, as it lets you handle non matching shields MUCH better
Extremely minor: Dead Man's Tale got more changes with TFS release that aren't reflected in the spreadsheet. Hipfire RPM is static (I think it's 150?) now and damage gets buffed instead of nerfed at 5 stacks.
yeah man i can't really agree more on DB tbh. since we were all on Solar last season i forgot how many synergies are in that kit that supercharge the wep. now that I'm on Prismatic most of the time it never feels the same and it's almost never auto loaded, especially with everyone else's solar snipers taking ignitions 😭
I've found Eyes of Tomorrow is lovely for GM content, but I absolutely understand where your mind is with the ranking, especially given the context of the absolute peak of players and their optimization. It's very much a "if you're struggling with certain adclear scenarios this weapon can help" kind of tool for that content, but the problem with that interpretation/usage is that it's essentially a crutch. I and my fireteams have put it to great use, especially when we had rookies to GM-level content in missions like Psi-Ops Cosmodrome, hailing the missiles into the sniper-vandals in the opening or down into the ads of the final boss to keep the area clear, but it was nothing another weapon couldn't have done with more finesse from its' user, either.
They didnt do anything to Skyburner’s oath to make it better, but with the introduction of hellion you can have a build that causes ignitions so frequently and consistently that Skyburner becomes amazing and I think more people need to try it.
It became easily my favorite scout in the game again. With the extra scorch stacks and hellion on regular solar you cause an ignition every 2-3 shots its actually an insane gun now. I used it on liminality ALOT every time it was the gm and i loved it lol i usually was top of the kill board too without even being on prismatic lol
No Xenophage mention 😢 Honestly, I feel like Xeno should be D, at least for its ability to clap any yellowbar in the game instantly at super long range. It also has great ammo economy. Also, I like the noise it makes 😊
I can’t be the only one who was reminded about the existence of numerous exotics by watching this? All the exotic trace rifles have literally been wiped from my mind.
Just a quick note arbalist actually no longer one shots shields does a little over 2/3rds as of this season. There were a LOT of changes about that dungeon this season that devs didn’t mention and there is a video out there in case you’re curious don’t know by who though.
And on the point of GMs being dominated by abilities… I’m a returning player. My last time actually playing the game was when Lightfall dropped, only came back a month before TFS. Did a GM for the first time since coming back when they were opened this season, and immediately after asked my friend one question: *did Bungie make GMs easier?* I was really surprised to learn that it was the opposite. I’m still baffled that in most GMs I have the option to murder a boss via prismatic melee as titan, and in some of them boss isn’t even a thing as it dies immediately on spawn from 3 ults. Back in the day my question with GM weapons was “how do I fit all that I need?”, now it’s always “what do I even need?” - and it do feel weird.
GMs did kind of get easier. The powercap is now 2020 which I believe allows you to be -20 instead of the previous -25. Most of feeling is easier is just massive powercreep since Lightfall (prismatic is a big part of this powercreep).
I feel like vex mythoclast is so close to being amazing. My go to loadout this season has been lost signal and vex. It does great damage, has a great gimmick in the linear mode *(2 shoting champs for no ammo is huge in gms)*. However it lacks splash damage. My main issue is everytime I do well with vex, it's because my teammates are not slaying out with sunshot or graviton.
I would argue that Hierarchy of Needs is one of the best GM weapons depending on the GM, and ESPECIALLY on hunters with Orpheus Rig, the super gen you get is unmatchedm
I take le monarque when I lfg grandmasters because the poison stopping the overloads regen just makes it easier for me to control whats gping on without relying on the man who brought ace of spades, a pulse, and an lmg with dynamic sway opening shot
I'll defend Necrochasm in the context of Necrotic Grip/Spirit of Necrotic (I used it in TFS legendary campaign day 1 and it trivialized a lot), but that's also one specific niche thing that locks you out of other things. Likewise Buried Bloodline, it really opens up sustainability in subclasses that might otherwise struggle with it (it's a favorite of mine on Broodweaver in particular).
I think intrinsic champ exotics are in a good spot actually. The days of a mandatory exotic sucked so much, but I still use them when the champ mods or my build don't have the champ I need. They're an option that works but not the only one
I think you underestimated the utility use of witherhoard. Its incredibly potent in obtaining transcendence energy. At least, I didn't hear you mention this aspect.
Kinetic Transcendence gains are less efficient than Light + Dark individual stacking even with Grace as far as I'm aware, but still a use even if it's niche I suppose
Here to defend buried bloodline: BB still has more total reserves over the other sidearms. To me devour is more useful and reliable than heal clip since you can switch to other weapons. Yes AA has incandescent for add clear but with facet of bravery every grenade kill grants void weapons volatile rounds which is very good for adds and you have devour active giving you grenade energy with every kill from any source. TL;DR: devour > heal clip, BB is well worth the exotic slot, however if you need to use another exotic AA is a good alternative (disclaimer: I’m a titan main whose been exclusively using the call, BB and apex predator with HP)
The placement of BB doesn't necessarily imply that it's strictly worse than something like an Aberrant, but it's definitely a harder sell these days for being worth the exotic slot when Aberrant and co. are definitely suitable alternatives without losing much, if that makes sense It's still a great weapon to pair with volatile builds and Devour access though!
Imma be honest, Mr. Relicman, you way undershot on Necrochasm. 1. The chain explosions are most comparable to Sunshot but they do *way* more damage than Sunshot - like double including DoT, which does chain the explosions too, and that doesn't even factor in the weapon's own damage buff, which Sunshot doesn't intrinsically have 2. One for Thrall is the same on-hit damage boost as OfA, which I know you respect, except it increases range and AA to help you hit more crits (which you talked about being a factor) and unlike OfA, *it's refreshable* (!) 3. That, combined with effectively Desperado, except it pushes up your aim assist even more, is an *enormous* primary DPS boost 4. It comes with multiple reload perks - max reload + scalar on crit kill, and fully refilling the mag on splash kill 5. The Necrotics interaction is kinda cute, I guess Like yeah, it's only an add clear primary, but it's maybe the best one straight up. It's gotten so many buffs, including addition of One for Thrall this season. Please give it another real try. If Sunshot is in A, Necro deserves to be there too. And yes, I've seen Mossy's plot of primary major DPS, but let's be honest here - we're in a sandbox of rocket sidearms and infinite prismatic ability spam, so how much are you using your add clear primary on elites anyways?
I'll definitely try it out more next season, but most endgame players in my chat agreed that it's just not potent enough compared to the other exotic primaries in upper tiers this season
@@TheAegisRelic Yeah, but how many chatters have actually given it a genuine try this season (specifically this season because of its massive buff with TFS)? I'm willing to bet very few have. Like I get some people have some sort of soft bias towards Sunshot, but I feel like you're trying to be objective here, and Necro is objectively really strong for an add clear primary. Also, my gut feeling says an auto artifact mod is coming with act 3 given that the exotic quest weapon is an auto, plus Khvostov is also a significant addition this season, I guess. And it's kinetic for building transcendence, and we all know consecration and other prismatic ability spam is everywhere in endgame stuff.
@@colewilliams3621 nah ur not gonna see them a lot less. You might see less double rocket sidearm loadouts (kinetic and energy) but rocket sidearms are still amazing.
Ok quick question, why is everyone saying rocket sidearms have been nerfed heavily and will not so relevant? Didn’t they only fix a bug where they’re getting ammo bricks they shouldn’t have as it was coded as a primary? If that’s the case this community really has gone soft as oh no, i can’t use a special weapon like a primary.
@@TheAegisRelic that’s fair and realistic. Their ammo economy is still the best amongst special weapons so while they may have a slight decline in uptime, there’s still ways to circumnavigate this. Either by finisher mods or indebted kindness with lead from gold or just playing a bit more conservative with the ammo you have. Anyways, love the work you do for the community and always look forward to your videos. Take care
I definitly agree with the tierlist based on endgame content. But I think there still needs to be a way to differentiate between stuff like last word/vig wing/jade rabbit, mida… & for sure viable options if u got a build going/doing niche stuff or just universally not terrible: Agers/lament/qss/monaque/tlord/trespasser/vex
Same, was my go to weapon of sorrow. Switched to Thorn when the big nerf came out and for me Thorn wasn’t bringing me the same fun I had with Osteo. Now I main Necrochasm and it gives me life.
I feel like its kind of surprising to see Bastion not move. It's buff is incredible for the kind of damage profile it has, and it works with things like song of flame and banner of war titan quite nicely. In terms of single weapon damage it has really good dps for a special weapon and it complements melee builds extremely well, but I guess it struggles since fusions are too big a time investment for swaps I guess. Still think its worthy of a low B since its slightly less situational than the exotic shotguns for dps because of its better range with a tighter spread.
It's a mix of me overrating it last season and me being stricter this season, anything that didn't move in the middle tiers you can honestly think of as moving up relative to the old list haha
Tier list is more oriented towards elite players. So, GM category is oriented towards the 3x prismatic titan type fireteams. Outbreak is still quite good for those players (it got used in some of the season's first gm speedruns), but is kind of slow and too dependent on anti-barrier pulse this season to really be an optimal weapon for this tier list.
You gotta try collective in more gms dude it’s better than graviton imo. I run it with Orpheus and the echo that gives you volatile/unraveling when you get a grenade kill which is a really easy loop to start with gunpowder gamble and grapple melee. With anti barrier this season it’s especially good bc all you gotta do to cover two champions in any gm level content is throw a suppressor the volatile is just to help with add clear and imo is more potent than graviton
both Sunshot and graviton can be reduced to the same tier now. sunshots current PVE damage is doing less than it used to before the solstice update that bugged gravitons fire rate. sunshot is matching damage with legendary 180s with explosive payload, zaoulis + EP is doing more damage than sunshot even without a solar surge burn. only benefit to sunshot is its crowd clearing capabilities but even that has become weaker since the new update
@@TheAegisRelic which is true. has great synergy with solar and whatnot. dont get me wrong its still great. But no ones really mentioning how its damage overall got nerfed after solstice indirectly. zaoulis can do pretty much the same thing minus the chain explosions
@@spakentruth How did Sunshot get nerfed because of Solstice? If you're talking about Graviton, no one's talking about it as a permanent change because Bungie said they'd fix it, these comparisons are being made with old Graviton RPM in mind.
@@TheAegisRelic sunshots pve damage got reduced to where it was pre exotic primary buffs, it's doing about 10% less damage than it used to be doing. Bungie buffed exotic primaries and hand cannons in separate passes back to back, one of those buffs got rolled back accidentally likely due to a bug
I would argue Monte Carlo is end game viable but only specifically for strand warlock builds that use weavers trance. Extremely situational but helps keep melee up for the sake of that build's add clear setups. Had to defend my pet build lol
Outbreak is definitely the outlier ranking here. I guess he was saying it does a little bit of everything but doesn't do one thing that great? I would argue its on par with Sunshot. Better against chunkier ads plus anti-barrier pulse feels way better than overload handcannon. Along with the transcendence regen. What Sunshot does in terms of splash damage Outbreak makes up with it in other ways. C tier just seems harsh. Also am surprised with the Whisper ranking...makes me wanna see a Witness dps test vs other competitive options.
Yeah this list is more oriented for optimized endgame play, Outbreak tends to not see as much use in that kind of content but it might be worth shifting up a tier next season Edit: As for Whisper, this tier list does not account for artifact mods
@@TheAegisRelic Right but I'm thinking about how dominant the weapon is for GMs. I guess since you said artifact perks are not taken into account that would include the anti-champ viability. But also it seems to serve that niche purpose when people swap to it for more dps in final stand when they have no more heavy and special ammo.
Yeah it's kind of flavor-of-the-month right now given AB Pulse but it's definitely not a bad weapon for GMs, just a bit slow-paced and not the most lethal when it comes to add clear
lol, Aegis still has quite a few tier lists still in the works. Archetypes (mean to help compare different weapons across their specific weapon tier lists), origin traits, perks, fragments/aspects, sub classes, and exotic armor. Probably won't get them all out before gcx, but next few days should still have some relevant tier lists coming out.
Abilities like consecration titan, punch hunters, and some warlocks builds are extremely dominant in optimal gm meta. Gjallarhorn is still good since wolfpacks are insane ad clear and ceno is still pretty good, malf is still good for lucky pants, and outbreak is a very safe option. But pretty much nothing beats out 1 shotting champions with a single ability.
@@SpiderReviver But all of those weapons are apparently uncommon? None are optimal? Is it just that no single weapon stands out as an obvious choice even though you want to be running one out of a half dozen or so?
@@gabemerritt3139 ya pretty much nothing is particularly standout. Gjally, malf, and outbreak are all obviously great weapons but not nearly as prevalent as weapons in previous weapons. People love outbreak for slower play for more methodical completions but it isn't quite as dominant for higher end players. Compare the height of stuff like arbalest meta, 3x ceno+rockets, 1 div+2 izi, etc. where those options were meta defining for every single gm. Exotic weapons don't shape gm meta quite as much these days (but they still are good, just not as singularly defining).
Would you consider making tier lists/videos broadly on things that are kind of quirky/goofy/fun/strange? Things that would (almost) never enter a speedrun because it's suboptimal. This is kind of a broad subject but I think there's a lot of depth to it. Things like High Ground weapons (especially for the Witness), Gunpowder Gamble paired with Grapple (you can grapple it btw), Fighting Lion, etc. Perhaps not examined by what's best but rather the quirky/goofy/fun/strange kinda deal. Keep up the good content either way.
@@freezingdart there's a lot more TH-cam money to be made on an overall meta list vs just an endgame one imo. Most content creators complain there's nothing to make content about, but none of them make meta lists ever and it's constantly changing. Only aegis is doing it, the rest just give thoughts on guns as they release but never revise their reviews as things change The market is there and nobody has seemingly jumped on it. This spreadsheet was the closest I've ever found since the d1 beta. For such a popular game it's kind of crazy there's nothing like prydwen institute for the average player
Very good list pepe man. Agree with most of them, my only complaints (as others have mentioned a thousand times) are that graviton should be at least at the same level as sunshot and maybe bump outbreak to b tier purely for the fact that it’s damage is higher than any other primary, allows you to run more ad clear oriented options for the heavy and special slot without missing on single target dmg.
None of his tier lists take into account the current meta because he wants the tier lists to remain as general advice. Tier list shifts season over season are just due to balance changes.
@@Revadike Let's say next season Bungie adds a strong shotgun artifact mod that buffs shotguns by like 30% without doing any balance changes. Within this tier list, shotguns would not change even though they would see a general uptick in usage. Maybe acrius is doing way more damage with this imaginary artifact mod, but that doesn't affect this tier list's base ranking because base acrius wouldn't be changed.
great content, if you havent alrdy could you do exotic armor tier list for end game content. i cant figure out what exotic class item or just exotic armor i need (hunter) to do both ad clear/and dps. whenever i use my celestial still hunt i find myself heavily relying on my kinetic constantly making myself squishier unintentionally trying to conserve ammo iunno if i should just use it and bank on special bricks dropping but id like to be able to do both...
The entire list only has one "yes" for solo content and it's Sunshot? It just sounds surprising - is there really no other exotic worth serious consideration? It was also explained in the Legendary Heavy list that Prismatic abilities are the go-to for AoE - what makes Sunshot's double-dip in AoE so much stronger than running something like an Exotic Special?
Sunshot is mostly up there for it being the most universally applicable exotic primary finder generator compared to any other weapon, it's not necessarily just on its splash potential alone (which it's already got plenty of, of course).

Yeah I really like the buff they gave Necro
18:42 I agree so much. Eyes of Tomorrow is genuinely my favourite exotic in the whole game… if it was just a better weapon. I want to love it so much more but I can’t because it’s just so bad, locking on to targets and firing the barrage, seeing the rockets fly up and then rain down is so sick, but ultimately not as useful and one would hope. Also boss damage blows. I really hope this gun gets a catalyst or mini rework to make it relevant, it is one of if not the coolest designed guns Bungie has ever made.
Polaris was good for one season and I kinda miss it
Graviton is typically paired with Gyrfalcon. In this case, it far exceeds what sunshot can do.
On its own, sunshot is nicer to use.
Grav lance made Liminality GM a breeze with all the taken acolytes and consistent turnabout procs
I think the reason sunshot is so much better than graviton is because sunshot is a single hit, and has incredible stats
The handling and reload are high making it consistent and being a hc it can hurt majors much better, since fodder will already crumple to an exotic primary
Graviton can work, but its slower thanks to handling/reload, the burst is packed into 2nd shot so its a glorified hc, and it doesnt have the major killing potential
Worth noting how important explosive payload is to sunshot, as it lets you handle non matching shields MUCH better
Yeah fair points
Extremely minor: Dead Man's Tale got more changes with TFS release that aren't reflected in the spreadsheet. Hipfire RPM is static (I think it's 150?) now and damage gets buffed instead of nerfed at 5 stacks.
Fixed! I skipped over some stuff since I wrote these all 2? seasons ago, so I appreciate you pointing that out.
Dragon's breath may be somewhat lackluster compared to other weapons, but remember its still best in class DoT weapon.
The time you put into sharing information like this is hugely appreciated and very helpful
The ammo economy of Buried Bloodline is way better than legendary rocker sidearms. You can get up to 80+ ammo
thank you for rating thunderlord in the S tier!
yeah man i can't really agree more on DB tbh. since we were all on Solar last season i forgot how many synergies are in that kit that supercharge the wep. now that I'm on Prismatic most of the time it never feels the same and it's almost never auto loaded, especially with everyone else's solar snipers taking ignitions 😭
Depressing that almost every exotic is now "meh".
The dads won't be happy seeing quicksilver in F...
No Xenophage mention 😢
Honestly, I feel like Xeno should be D, at least for its ability to clap any yellowbar in the game instantly at super long range. It also has great ammo economy.
Also, I like the noise it makes 😊

Just a quick note arbalist actually no longer one shots shields does a little over 2/3rds as of this season. There were a LOT of changes about that dungeon this season that devs didn’t mention and there is a video out there in case you’re curious don’t know by who though.
With a buff it still does I believe
@@TheAegisRelic good to know for some reason I never considered it
And on the point of GMs being dominated by abilities…
I’m a returning player. My last time actually playing the game was when Lightfall dropped, only came back a month before TFS. Did a GM for the first time since coming back when they were opened this season, and immediately after asked my friend one question: *did Bungie make GMs easier?*
I was really surprised to learn that it was the opposite.
Vex felt perfect last season with the artifact mod that made ignitions with precision kills while radiant, I miss it
I would argue that Hierarchy of Needs is one of the best GM weapons depending on the GM, and ESPECIALLY on hunters with Orpheus Rig, the super gen you get is unmatchedm
One for thrall on necro helps it scale to more end game. When auto rifles are a champ mod you will see it more.
I take le monarque when I lfg grandmasters because the poison stopping the overloads regen just makes it easier for me to control whats gping on without relying on the man who brought ace of spades, a pulse, and an lmg with dynamic sway opening shot
Yeah it's definitely still a decent pick if you value a slow, consistent playstyle
You don’t need kills to ramp necro. You can proc one for thrall in several cases.
Was moreso about the explosive effect, will definitely reevaluate my stance on it next season though after playing with it some more!
Crazy when legendary rocket sidearms are better then anything on this list lol
Most things yeah haha
RIP osteo striga, I will never forget you for helping me get spire solo flawless
Yeah I agree, they're fine as-is

Here to defend buried bloodline:
BB still has more total reserves over the other sidearms.
The placement of BB doesn't necessarily imply that it's strictly worse than something like an Aberrant, but it's definitely a harder sell these days for being worth the exotic slot when Aberrant and co. are definitely suitable alternatives without losing much, if that makes sense
It's still a great weapon to pair with volatile builds and Devour access though!
Imma be honest, Mr. Relicman, you way undershot on Necrochasm.
1. The chain explosions are most comparable to Sunshot but they do *way* more damage than Sunshot - like double including DoT, which does chain the explosions too, and that doesn't even factor in the weapon's own damage buff, which Sunshot doesn't intrinsically have
2. One for Thrall is the same on-hit damage boost as OfA, which I know you respect, except it increases range and AA to help you hit more crits (which you talked about being a factor) and unlike OfA, *it's refreshable* (!)
3. That, combined with effectively Desperado, except it pushes up your aim assist even more, is an *enormous* primary DPS boost
4. It comes with multiple reload perks - max reload + scalar on crit kill, and fully refilling the mag on splash kill
5. The Necrotics interaction is kinda cute, I guess
Like yeah, it's only an add clear primary, but it's maybe the best one straight up.
Rocket sidearms no longer work with finders so you're probably going to see them a lot less now
I'll definitely try it out more next season, but most endgame players in my chat agreed that it's just not potent enough compared to the other exotic primaries in upper tiers this season
Ahhhh man now I really want Necrochasm badly. Imma get it
Ok quick question, why is everyone saying rocket sidearms have been nerfed heavily and will not so relevant? Didn’t they only fix a bug where they’re getting ammo bricks they shouldn’t have as it was coded as a primary? If that’s the case this community really has gone soft as oh no, i can’t use a special weapon like a primary.
Yeah people always overreact to nerfs and buffed, they're still fine just not as good for solo ammo generation any more
@@TheAegisRelic that’s fair and realistic.

@@sunshot444 yeah necrochasm might be the closest thing to striga these days in terms of a weapon with a mixture of feel and potency similar to striga
I'm less than 1k kills away from 69420 on my Sunshot kill counter. Thankfully the TFS nerf did nothing to ruin it.
Bro looked at everyone’s favourite exotics, smacked it outta there hand, and told em “be better”
Man seeing lament and osteo in F tier really hurts.. both are, or were? among my favorite exotics. Osteo's adclear was ridiculous.
Excited for perk tier list review.
Pumping out high quality content at this rate gotta be a felony
:D
Isn’t Outbreak optimal for many GMs? Like for the average GM player. Not the niche speed loadout youtuber.
GMs aren't the only endgame content but Collective isn't bad for sure
both Sunshot and graviton can be reduced to the same tier now. sunshots current PVE damage is doing less than it used to before the solstice update that bugged gravitons fire rate. sunshot is matching damage with legendary 180s with explosive payload, zaoulis + EP is doing more damage than sunshot even without a solar surge burn. only benefit to sunshot is its crowd clearing capabilities but even that has become weaker since the new update
There are other benefits to using Sunshot that someone listed quite aptly here, I think you might appreciate them
@@TheAegisRelic which is true. has great synergy with solar and whatnot. dont get me wrong its still great.
Babe wake up, Aegis just posted!
waiting patiently for armor
Outbreak is definitely the outlier ranking here. I guess he was saying it does a little bit of everything but doesn't do one thing that great? I would argue its on par with Sunshot. Better against chunkier ads plus anti-barrier pulse feels way better than overload handcannon. Along with the transcendence regen. What Sunshot does in terms of splash damage Outbreak makes up with it in other ways. C tier just seems harsh. Also am surprised with the Whisper ranking...makes me wanna see a Witness dps test vs other competitive options.
Yeah this list is more oriented for optimized endgame play, Outbreak tends to not see as much use in that kind of content but it might be worth shifting up a tier next season
Edit: As for Whisper, this tier list does not account for artifact mods
@@TheAegisRelic Right but I'm thinking about how dominant the weapon is for GMs. I guess since you said artifact perks are not taken into account that would include the anti-champ viability. But also it seems to serve that niche purpose when people swap to it for more dps in final stand when they have no more heavy and special ammo.
Yeah it's kind of flavor-of-the-month right now given AB Pulse but it's definitely not a bad weapon for GMs, just a bit slow-paced and not the most lethal when it comes to add clear
I thought bro was done he posted ANOTHER tier list.

Interesting...
There isn't a single exotic weapon you would consider optimal for GMs?

Maybe haha
@@freezingdart there's a lot more TH-cam money to be made on an overall meta list vs just an endgame one imo.

Caster Arc Conductor Ergo Sum makes the game feel like easy mode
When talking about the current meta, why not consider artifact mods?
None of his tier lists take into account the current meta because he wants the tier lists to remain as general advice. Tier list shifts season over season are just due to balance changes.
@@SpiderReviver I dont understand the difference
@@Revadike Let's say next season Bungie adds a strong shotgun artifact mod that buffs shotguns by like 30% without doing any balance changes.
Within this tier list, shotguns would not change even though they would see a general uptick in usage.
Maybe acrius is doing way more damage with this imaginary artifact mod, but that doesn't affect this tier list's base ranking because base acrius wouldn't be changed.
you are very good at explaining things.
Thanks!
great content, if you havent alrdy could you do exotic armor tier list for end game content. i cant figure out what exotic class item or just exotic armor i need (hunter) to do both ad clear/and dps. whenever i use my celestial still hunt i find myself heavily relying on my kinetic constantly making myself squishier unintentionally trying to conserve ammo iunno if i should just use it and bank on special bricks dropping but id like to be able to do both...
I will at some point
The entire list only has one "yes" for solo content and it's Sunshot?
It just sounds surprising - is there really no other exotic worth serious consideration?
It was also explained in the Legendary Heavy list that Prismatic abilities are the go-to for AoE - what makes Sunshot's double-dip in AoE so much stronger than running something like an Exotic Special?
Sunshot is mostly up there for it being the most universally applicable exotic primary finder generator compared to any other weapon, it's not necessarily just on its splash potential alone (which it's already got plenty of, of course).
