I'd also love to see the process videos! You inspired me to start journaling after many years! you're very creative and the things you do are beatiful! I wish I had all that stuff here in Argentina!
Thanks for sharing! The cover is amazing and love the embossing effect. Looks like a vintage hardcover book! Also, the inner pages are beautiful with the mix of pages. Love it! Definitely would love to see the process videos :) So, I always think that we have these different names for notebooks/journals/sketchbooks, but really it's just different sizes and different papers inside. Everyone has preferences and sizes/styles that we are comfortable with, so we have to go with it! Sometimes I think the traveler's notebook size is smaller and more approachable, but I can understand that it can feel too small. It all depends on the project, I think. I definitely have journals in all different sizes and grab whatever I feel like at the moment!
Oh Yes, please make process videos! I wish you peace and rest over the next few weeks...moving is hard but moving with 2 little ones can be CRAZY! All the best for you and your sweet family!
Oh, I would definitely love to see journal with me videos. I love journaling and using planners. But I also love making junk journals and my own books. I would appreciate a demonstration on how I can combine these. This is a gorgeous junk journal.
I' glad you are not totally going to stop working in your travelers notebook, because I'm just so into them at the moment. So I would love to see a flip thru of your finished travelers notebook. It's not boring but inspirational.
So clever. I love Eloise Wilkin, too. I grab up any of her books I find at thrift shops. Loved the idea to punch the edge of a page - gotta try that. Thanks for sharing. :)
Yes would love to see videos on how you made this book, I am new at this. And have several old hankies, but never thought about putting them in a book. Great idea. Watch all your videos. Thanks
I'd love a flip through; mostly because I love seeing anything you do. :) I am so inspired by how you journal about your sons and I've actually started doing it as well. So thank you!
This is beautiful, I just purchased a couple of the lovely linen kits and I am thrilled. Your kits are very generous, and I recommended you to others, and mentioned you in Linda Israel's Friendly Junk Journal People site. I can't wait to use them in my new Anne of Green Gables journal that I am preparing to start. Wonderful work.
Wowzer Johanna, just love this new journal of yours. I am soo new to all of this and it is great to find a fellow Aussie with whom I can learn from. I must admit I am a little terrified if I can say that of putting pages together for my own junk journal, but seeing what you have done makes me want to jump right in and get started... thank you for sharing your new junk journal...
Thanks for showing us your new journal. It's beautiful! Can't wait to see some process videos. I have some vintage handkerchiefs and I was actually thinking of using them in a junk journal. Such a great idea and I love the way you've implemented them. Good luck with your move!
Oh please do share some process videos of working in your personal junk journal. I'd be interested in how you work on the various types of papers in the book.
It has been because of YOU I have been up well past my bedtime making a junk journal ! I have watched and just loved all your journal with me's!! Thanks so much for the inspiration ^_^
Hi Joanie! Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing this with us even tho you are moving and it can be really stressful and kind of a mess. Btw, I wish you could do the flip through of the little notebook. Could you show us how to do a cover like that big brown one? It's beautiful! ❤️ and hahaha sorry for asking for so many things but, could you do a video about inspiration? Bc I see all the beautiful things you do and I get really confused, could you give us some tips of how to journal? Of course when you have the time. Thank you! 💕
Love this journal and can't wait to see what you do with it. Can I just say....I'm going to miss your craft space. It's so bright -- I love your windows and the way there are sounds of birds and other outdoor noises. I'm sure your next space will be just as lovely. Good luck with the move.
Great book, Johanna! I love your name on the front cover. Would enjoy seeing what you do inside. Your work is quite an inspiration Good luck with your move, Hugs
So beautiful! I would love to see a 'junk journal with me' series. I just finished making my first junk journal and I'm a little intimidated by my creative recycled paper choices. I'd love some inspiration seeing how you do it!
I am so excited for you about this book! It is gorgeous! I have been feeling lazy about journaling in my personal book that I have but after watching this I think I'm going to set some time aside tonight!
I would love to see some process videos. Especially how you put your journal together with the signatures. I've been wanting to make one for myself but I am a bit nervous. Your journal is fabulous! tfs and good luck with the move.
This journal is absolutely gorgeous Johanna! The wallflower paper is one of my favourites and I love the children's book pages...and the handkerchiefs added such a cool texture! Good luck with your move! TFS 🙂
what a wonderful work! I would love if you could film some of the creative process of the pages :) Johanna what advice about kind and style for scrapbooking papers you would give for beginners? I'm just can't combined them well enough and ended up a mess... thank you so much for sharing the video! God bless you! hugs from brazil
I love your journals and as I like to craft I would love to know where you collect your old antique style pictures and little card pieces like the little Indian card on your travel journal. I'm looking to make a cookbook for my sister in law inspired by your journals which are absolutely beautiful.
yes I would love to see Journal With Me videos. I've been thinking about doing one but I feel like I'm not that creative so may not be for me. But I know that if I never try I'll never know.
this is a really awesome idea. can you make a video of how you actually put it all together with all those different types of paper? love the hankurchief idea in there also. you are very talented and creative. thank you for sharing.
This is great! I look forward to seeing a process video of your junk journal pages. I sure enjoy mine, but I struggle with how to use the pages that have designs or pictures on them.
I no what it is like to moved we moved seven year go from Melbourne it gets harder as you get older we are senior citizens❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️enjoy your new home 😍💌💌💌
Hi Johanna!! I wanted to go back and look at your personal journal before watching your latest process video. I love this journal and it really has a lot of my own personal taste in it. I am also a big fan of vintage children's book ephemera and I have a nice little collection. I feel inspired to make a collage personal journal and you have certainly inspired me. I love collage too, but I often feel like I don't have the time to do it, but I will try to make time. I wonder if I already commented on this video yet... LOL!! In any case, did you make so many signatures so, that the book would lie nice and flat? I really like the eclectic feel of this journal and it comes together nicely even though the elements are often very different. I was wondering how many pages you have in each signature. I have some journals lined up for myself and hopefully, to sell soon, but I think I want to make something for myself. If you get a chance, let me know the answer to my question. Your op shop has great vintage children finds... we are not so lucky in that retrospect her in NYC. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work and hope to hear from you soon!! Hugs, Juliana
Eloise Wilkin is my favourite illustrator too. I collect the Golden Books with her in it. Also Mabel Lucie Atwell, found a children's prayer book with her work in an op shop last week, so gorgeous and nostalgic. Adore those old-fashioned pictures, a world that is now sadly lost imo.
Me too! I have a collection I kind of just hoard a little 😅 my kids are a bit rough with their books just yet and these old ones are a little too precious at this point! My other fave is Shirley Hughes, you're right they capture a magic that's sadly almost all gone x
Hi Johanna. I would love to see a charm tutorial! Absolutely gorgeous! ♡♡♡ Also I was wondering about the dimensions as this journal looks much bigger than ur standard size. Thanks
Such a beautiful journal! I can't wait to see some journal with me videos in the journal :) Btw I already started using your beautiful journal- I love it so much!! Thank you!!
I love this book, Johanna! the cover is definitely your sig. my fave as a kit curator is all those beautiful pages in such variety sizes texture all...tfs dearest!

I've been watching u 4 a few months now & u totally inspire me! I showed My 15 year old daughter 1 of ur videos & she said she can watch them all day & spent a good half of the morning doing so lol Yes I wud love 2 c some process videos in ur new junk journal! Thanks!!
Beautiful book! 😍 Yes, would love to see process videos! 😄 Have you ever made an altered book journal where you tear out pages then glue on other pages and ephemera?
Your new journal is soooooooo much adorable and gorgeous +_+ I know you are super busy now but can I ask one question? I really want to know where did you buy your alphabet stamps. I love the font. Or can you at least tell me what is the name of the font? Always thank you for sharing your lovely journals ;)
This journal is absolutely fabulous, could you PRETTY PLEASE tell me what paperline the paper with the pumpkins and seed packets is from, it's AWESOME!
How do you keep your vintage music, magazine pages etc from tearing apart? I put a vintage paper in a signature and then it just fell out. I've been putting washi tape to keep them from falling apart.Any tips?
Jeanne Corsby-Hale I guess some are in better shape than others! If something is really fragile I won't often use it as a page, but you could strengthen it by backing to to more paper or putting some clear tape or something down the crease x
I like it, but the thing is you have wery little room to write...almost any room for your thots, and anything that you nead to write on..I like to write, and write, and write
Yes, please start a 'junk journal with me' series🙈
Yees +111
