No code needed, wait until Fall then you can fish the docks in the harbor unitl Spring. It's great caught my first brown there last year. Just need a little common sense to get access, @Pao, don't just turn the handle, turn the lock tab at the same time bingo your in.
Do you need a code number to enter there, or does it open when the boat start to leave?
You have to wait until late fall,when the boats leave the docks.
yep no one else around...shore fishing like that---it aint open to the public--you really think with 50.000 boats and all that parked in that marina it really open for the public---very misleading telling people you can just whack trophy trout from shore---you can fish some spots----but-----its not that easy---all around the great lakes shores its posted signs and no tresspassing signs-----very misleading

The piers are for boats,and unless u know someone that has a dock spot it is off limits to the public.

These fish are stocked by the DNR, so there will always be more.

You either need to own a boat in the harbor or be part of a club. It's not for public...

any smart fisherman doesn't grab a fish by the gills, its called a gill plate. It doesn't kill the fish.
You may be catching trout, but this is by no means trout fishing.

I got a trophy brown just look at my pic on my chanel. You don't have to go to Lake Michigan to catch these guys. Plus I wasn't fishing for them in the spawn.

They are clearly ripe and ready to leave eggs/sperm. Why to catch them in this period ? They surely accumulate lactic acid during the fight. Nice to see this fish but stupid to fish them.
