The fact that Kingdom Hearts makes up like 30% of this list had me in stitches, but then something about "Bravely Bahamut" just put me in the ground 🤣🤣🤣

When you really think about it, Midoriya and Cloud are basically the same person because: 1) Both of them were underdogs striving to become heroes (although for different reasons). 2) both managed to defeat an angry, silver-haired male whom they once admired for having incredible talents. 3) had aspirations to be like their heroes and gained abilities similar to them And 4) both have a cute brunette friend with extremely large breasts who learned martial arts and want to support these underdogs out of romantic feelings for them.
Deku always sounds like he's one step away from crying and sounds nothing like Cloud, lol. I love MHA, but I don't hear Deku when I listen to Cloud here.

I love Cait Sith's predictions, they're clearly meant to be depressing diary entries by Reeve, but each of them is so horrifyingly accurate and appropriate to the question.
Oye, by the way: the cat IS Reeve, the only conscious dude from the Shintra, isn't it? I never played this, and honestly I can tell the original story has a bunch of plot holes or ambiguous explanations.

Cait Sith's speech when he sacrificed himself seemed to imply he's a separate being, but Reeve was definitely able to send a message through Cait Sith when apprehended. I'm inclined to think Cait Sith is an AI driven puppet with a mind based on Reeve that Reeve can seize control of if he needs to.

I love that stuff. They go off the wall with the story, but really make sure to include the important things. It is a hard balance to maintain, but they do a great job
@@takarifan It is not Zack in the scene. It is Cloud's twisted imagination on how a "cool soldier guy" acts and it is super over the top and childish just like in the original. Cloud is just an overgrown child who still hasn't gotten past his sentimentalities from childhood.
Something slayed me when Yuffie appears and just gets fuckin clocked by Tifa. Also, Barret and Red being besties is absolute goals. I never should've slept on this series. AVALANCHE TIME!
to be fair yuffie is kinda a brat in FF7 abridged,sooooo maybe that is connected? still think it is funny myself she gets sucker-punched while yelling surprise attack.
My favorite detail in that scene is that Yuffie is in the middle of saying her name when Tifa punches her, and the enter name screen just finishes typing it out
For what I'm getting out of this (at least in the TFS lore), cloud was a wuss before the incident, right? I mean, it's weird that when 'zack' speaks in his mind he sounds like a composed guy. I don't know, this is confusing.

I agree about Sephiroth's VA. He is top-notch. Barrett is phenomenal, too. I think the VA, when not actively trying to be immensely vapid ( lol ), would do great too.

I loved that of all the opportunities for Cloud to make an effort to attempt being supportive of someone else in some sort of way towards someone he didn’t have much attachment with, he chose to attempt cheering Yuffie up by enabling her unlawful behavior. What makes it even funnier is that he actually succeeds in helping her feel better with that. “It’s the little things in life.”
If you get Yuffie in the gold saucer second visit, Cloud actually goads on Yuffie as she does her fake punches. That kind of energy was throughout their interactions at gold saucer that makes it seemed like Cloud was being a big brother to her.
Cloud: You see Sephiroth, you’re not dealing with the average first-class Soldier anymore... Sephiroth: Oh my godddd... Cloud: I have risen above and become the legend you fear. I have become the legendary super soldier. Sephiroth shoots a beam through Cloud’s arteries. Tifa: Cloud!! Sephiroth: No, seriously, you have no idea how old that got. Barrett: You think Captain America’s gonna sue for that trademark theft?
I had to rewind three times to check that Aerith said that. Damn, Aerith is a sweetheart in this just like the original, but she is savage when it comes to other girls that Cloud is nice to. Her answer was more negative than Tifa's for crying out loud!
I saw the notification and got super hyped cause I thought we were getting an early Season 3, then I realized it’s just a Season 2 collection. Still a beautiful series though, I’ll see you all in Season 3!

TFS is simply awesome. You guys took a story that is sacred-level to me, made it funny AF, whilst still intelligent and misteryous and engaging. People are going to the game from here and coming here from the game. This new angle is brilliant. It's hard not to ruin a masterpiece, but you guys used it as a template for another masterpiece of yourselves. DUDE, YOU ARE SOLDIER.
@@xWolfxHD For the most part, the main plot events that occur in the abridged series do occur in the game, but there are some stuff (some minor, others interesting) that are changed for the purposes of this abridge. With minor changes, the party didn't always travel together in the overworld during the game as a precaution to avoid Shinra, but I find it a clever workaround to set up for the party formation in some episodes or even why the party members act the way they do sometimes. Plus, it kinda would be boring (and maybe difficult) if you had to pass up on certain characters from time to time, so I welcome this idea. Boss fights aren't as humorous in the games, but that's one of the abridge's strengths. Some of the major changes come in the form of character relationships / personalities which lead into different interactions compared to the main game (ie: Barret and Red XIII / Nanaki aren't as close in the game compared to the abridge, Cloud & Tifa aren't as snarky towards each other in the game (and have somewhat different personalities in the abridge compared to the game), Aerith isn't as much of an "airhead" (for lack of a better term), Turks aren't comedy relief, etc.). This might be enough to turn away people from the series (it was a common thing I read regarding Cloud and Tifa's relationship during Season 1), but I find it interesting from a story perspective and it gives life to a few other characters who didn't have much to go off on once their arc was done (Red and Barret were mostly there once they finished their stuff at Cosmo Canyon / Koral Prison). It might not always hit the mark sometimes, but it does keep things interesting to say the least. Short Version: Plot Events are accurate, though character interaction / relationships are sometimes different to the game. I'm interested in how they proceed with other story elements after Season 2 / 3 (although it'd be more accurate to say Disc 2 and Disc 3 since TFS just finished Disc 1 at the moment).

Genius move on mimicking the voice of Vincent after the goth, Richmond Avenal, from the IT Crowd. This was awesome!! I wish there was a way to give it more thumbs up. I can't wait for season 3. The unexpected timing of this was so effective that it actually makes the viewer feel “weirded out” by it too. They somehow managed to do it without it being cliche because for everything up to that point the sentiment between the two of them is that they seem to hate each other, with Cloud feeling particularly marginalized by her repeatedly. Whereas Tifa actually has moments where she goes out of her way in an attempt to make sure that nothing seriously bad happens to Cloud, but then it does and she doesn’t care at all in the slightest despite it being the result of her taking advantage of his feelings he once had for her and then coercing him with threats to participate. The humor in it all being that in the beginning it was Cloud who had feelings for her (and her towards him to some extent) only for Cloud to lose them altogether as she softens up a bit more and more towards him as she suppresses or ignores them. It was a highly clever way to rewrite those characters in consistent ways all the while it never detracting from the humor, or being used to further enhance the humor such as when Tifa attempts to take advantage of any opportunities to “address the elephant” while trying to maintain a detached air of dominance about it, whereas Cloud is completely put off by it and is the person who genuinely could not care less.
I love how they referenced a completely different abridged series with Yuffie’s dialogue with Vincent. Makes it all the better that Taka summoned his Alucard for a minute there

I absolutely never used him, lol! Had enough people to train up, so I stuck with the humans. Erm...and...half-human-vampire? Vincent was my MVP, especially as I had him hold Knights of the Round.
I played the OG game in June 2020, and I honestly found Cait Sith to be pretty likable (Temple of Ancients sacrifice and his comical reappearance when shit was going down; the only moment I laughed out loud during the game). And the Reeve reveal made him even greater.

Cait Sith's speech when he sacrificed himself seemed to imply he's a separate being, but Reeve was definitely able to send a message through Cait Sith when apprehended. I'm inclined to think Cait Sith is an AI driven puppet with a mind based on Reeve that Reeve can seize control of if he needs to.

TFS is simply awesome. You guys took a story that is sacred-level to me, made it funny AF, whilst still intelligent and misteryous and engaging. People are going to the game from here and coming here from the game. This new angle is brilliant. It's hard not to ruin a masterpiece, but you guys used it as a template for another masterpiece of yourselves. DUDE, YOU ARE SOLDIER.
Kakae this is late, but is the abridged version of the story accurate to the original version? I haven’t played yet
@@xWolfxHD For the most part, the main plot events that occur in the abridged series do occur in the game, but there are some stuff (some minor, others interesting) that are changed for the purposes of this abridge.
With minor changes, the party didn't always travel together in the overworld during the game as a precaution to avoid Shinra, but I find it a clever workaround to set up for the party formation in some episodes or even why the party members act the way they do sometimes. Plus, it kinda would be boring (and maybe difficult) if you had to pass up on certain characters from time to time, so I welcome this idea. Boss fights aren't as humorous in the games, but that's one of the abridge's strengths.
Some of the major changes come in the form of character relationships / personalities which lead into different interactions compared to the main game (ie: Barret and Red XIII / Nanaki aren't as close in the game compared to the abridge, Cloud & Tifa aren't as snarky towards each other in the game (and have somewhat different personalities in the abridge compared to the game), Aerith isn't as much of an "airhead" (for lack of a better term), Turks aren't comedy relief, etc.). This might be enough to turn away people from the series (it was a common thing I read regarding Cloud and Tifa's relationship during Season 1), but I find it interesting from a story perspective and it gives life to a few other characters who didn't have much to go off on once their arc was done (Red and Barret were mostly there once they finished their stuff at Cosmo Canyon / Koral Prison). It might not always hit the mark sometimes, but it does keep things interesting to say the least.
Short Version: Plot Events are accurate, though character interaction / relationships are sometimes different to the game. I'm interested in how they proceed with other story elements after Season 2 / 3 (although it'd be more accurate to say Disc 2 and Disc 3 since TFS just finished Disc 1 at the moment).

The unexpected timing of this was so effective that it actually makes the viewer feel “weirded out” by it too. They somehow managed to do it without it being cliche because for everything up to that point the sentiment between the two of them is that they seem to hate each other, with Cloud feeling particularly marginalized by her repeatedly. Whereas Tifa actually has moments where she goes out of her way in an attempt to make sure that nothing seriously bad happens to Cloud, but then it does and she doesn’t care at all in the slightest despite it being the result of her taking advantage of his feelings he once had for her and then coercing him with threats to participate.
The humor in it all being that in the beginning it was Cloud who had feelings for her (and her towards him to some extent) only for Cloud to lose them altogether as she softens up a bit more and more towards him as she suppresses or ignores them. It was a highly clever way to rewrite those characters in consistent ways all the while it never detracting from the humor, or being used to further enhance the humor such as when Tifa attempts to take advantage of any opportunities to “address the elephant” while trying to maintain a detached air of dominance about it, whereas Cloud is completely put off by it and is the person who genuinely could not care less.

I absolutely never used him, lol! Had enough people to train up, so I stuck with the humans. Erm...and...half-human-vampire? Vincent was my MVP, especially as I had him hold Knights of the Round.
I played the OG game in June 2020, and I honestly found Cait Sith to be pretty likable (Temple of Ancients sacrifice and his comical reappearance when shit was going down; the only moment I laughed out loud during the game). And the Reeve reveal made him even greater.
