I knew some other Roxy songs back in the '80s, but didn't know this one until I recently saw an old "home video" of the band Japan when bassist Mick Karn was singing along to this song in the background. Interestingly, there's a keyboard bit in the chorus that sounds like The Bangles' Manic Monday to me, so maybe even Prince had heard them. I got into Japan because of Duran Duran, so yes, Roxy Music was a fantastic and widely influential band! Amusingly to me, I was in the US when I first heard of Roxy, but now live in Italy, so I'm familiar with RAI 3. :D
