Lazy remix. Take the original and slap another break (standard break, not edited in any way) over the top with a couple of extra stabs. It's not a shit tune, just the good bits are in the original anyway. Just my opinion.
It's hard to please with a remix in my opinion. Sail too close to the wind, and like you noted, you get slated for not doing much. And at the other end of the spectrum, you change too much, you get slated for it not resembling the original one bit
