Awesome as always! Anybody know what happened to the White Sand official version? A few months ago Brandon was talking about it, but I haven’t heard him mention anything for a while
Brandon has said that he will be working on that novella when he is writing the Era 3 Mistborn books. He said he will need to return to Roshar as a way of taking a break from the world of Mistborn. He plans on starting Mistborn Era 3 on January 2025.
Read Warbreaker, and then you can head into Stormlight Archive. If you’re a pretty quick reader, you’ll be able to catch up before Stormlight 5 comes out December 6th!
If you've finished the Mistborn trilogy, get Arcanum Unbounded and read the Eleventh Metal which is Kelsier's backstory. After that, I'd recommend Elantris and The Emperor's Soul (from AU). Then you can start with Way Of Kings after which you should read Warbreaker and then Words Of Radiance.
Brandon, you've been a huge inspiration. I've been writing on and off over the years for fun, but I'm now diving into publishing. I'm amazed at plotters like you who can fully envision a character before writing them. I'm very much a pantser, though since AI came along, I've started to do a bit more plotting as it's less time-consuming now. Still, I don't really know my characters until I write them. The process of writing brings them to life in my mind, and I find myself discovering things about them that I never considered during planning. This often takes my book in unexpected directions, which I find to be one of the most enjoyable aspects of writing. I imagine as a plotter, you get to have that experience front loaded. Man, that would be convenient. I'm jealous. By the way, I have to say that one of my favorite characters of all time is Lift. That character was absolutely perfect!
@@legendsrule8968 I treat AI as a brainstorming buddy. Anytime I run into writers block I'll bounce ideas off of it, or ask it to give me a bunch of ideas. Usually I hate the suggestions, but it's also usually enough to get my creative juices flowing again. I also use it to organize my brain dump. When I plan I tend to get a lot of unrelated ideas that coalesce into a story. AI is wonderful for organizing that information for me, and making it presentable.
