I watched a decent amount of La Liga matches when he was at Atletico and remember him being second pick to players like Gabi. When we signed him, I was optimistic but it was difficult to imagine someone playing the #6 better than Fernandinho. Game by game, he became more pivotal (no pun intended). Now, he is required for us to function. He is peerless on the ball - never loses possession, picks amazing passes and scores BIG goals.
