RFID RC522 Based Attendance System Using Arduino with Data Logger

- In this project we’re going to build RFID MFRC622 based Time Attendance System Using Arduino Board. When you swipe an RFID tag next to the RFID reader, it saves the user UID and time in an SD card. It also shows if you are late or in time accordingly to a preset hour and minute.
For this we are interfacing MFRC522 RFID SPI module with Arduino. We are also interfacing SD Card Module as Data logger where the data is saved in text format. Similarly, RTC Module DS3231 or DS1307 is used to store time information.
This attendance system can be used in school, college and office and is the best alternative for the traditional attendance System. To learn more and to buy required components please visit the below link:

Should we use 330 ohm 1/4 watt resistor or 330 ohm 1/2 watt resistor

Geting RFID Software version 0xff and not able to read by RFID Tag if I connect SD card module and RFID reader same time but on when I use individually both are work fine and that time RFID give me 0x92 but at both same time RFID give me 0xFF... Any Suggestion ?

I'm wanting to do a project using 6 sensors that output frequency in the 100khz range. I'd like to take the device to a location and record the frequency output of the 6 sensors at that location and also the location # using RFID, and store that data for transfer to a desktop. Is that to ambitious for something like Arduino?

Yes u can use arduino mega as well. Just change the SPI & I2C Pins connection.

Can we make this project without using DS1307. Why can't we use time from arduino.
You need some clock to detect the time. DS1307/DS3231 acts as a clock. You can't use time from Arduino as it doesn't have record of time, it has only millis function timing. Moreover when arduino and DS1307 is turned off, the last time get stored in rtc memory. This function is not supported by Arduino.

Any SD card will work even it is of 2GB. Check the spi connection. And also format the sd card before using. Details of formatting method is given

Salam bhai. Its a SPI Communication problem. Check every module working individually.

Initializing SD card...Wiring is correct and a card is present.
Card type: SD2
Could not find FAT16/FAT32 partition.
Make sure you've formatted the card
hi, I had this problem previous time too...this problem happened bcoz I connected Vcc to 3.3v then I change the pin to 5v and it is worked

Make sure to check the serial monitor logs.
Make sure SD card connection and Rfid connection is correct.
