Thank you so much for talking about the heart of Finland: Sibelius!!….If Finlandia represents the haunting, unconscious power of thoughts and dreams translated into music, his Symphonies, in particular the mighty Fourth should be considered his most profound “confession” as he himself explained a symphony is, where he shares his struggles, his fears of physical pain, his psychological dilemmas, his needs for identifications, for affection, the warmth, complex and beautiful world in spite of everything……..he asks us to accompany him, to understand, love and enjoy all his seven “confessions” and we will be forever grateful to hm!!!
Thank you for this wonderfully personal and intellectual experience. For those, like myself, who've had the opportunity to visit Finland and Lapland and been introduced to the majesty of Kalevala and Jean Sibelius' music, this is a gem of a production. Norway and Grieg had a similar effect on me. Thank you.
Sibelius once said of the composition process: ‘It was as if the Almighty had cast the pieces upon the ground. My task was to fit them together.’ We are blessed that he accomplished this so many times, and so well. Paljon kiitoksia, ihana muusikko.
What a wonderful treatment of my favorite composer in the world. Thank you!
Probably one of my favourite composers...greetings from Brazil

If you visit his home, called Ainola after his wife, it is magic, just as he is out for a walk in the forest.
Learning to properly pronounce Finnish isn’t difficult.
