I tried quite a few switches ranging from gateron beer, baby kangaroo, melodic clickys, Kailh arctic foxes, and Chofox voyagers. Ultimately I actually decided on these! Super satisfying feel that won me over, although I’ll be putting some lighter switches on my more prominent gaming keys.
Thank you for the great content!! I've never tried tactiles before, but I'm torn between these and the flamingos, how much louder would you say these are compared to the flamingos in general use?
Flamingoes are more high pitched, so maybe they feel and sound a little by louder in open space. These sound deeper and are thockier, but still not silent at all! Thanks mate!
Thanks for the great video! I was wondering what you think about Budgerigar compared to Flamingo. Specs and sound profiles seem exactly the same when I open your videos side by side. But can you give me your own opinion in terms of typing experience. I appreciate a lot, if you give me your opinion. Many thanks again.
Budgerigar is tactile while the flamingo is linear, so no tactile bump on the second one. In term of smoothness it is pretty similar. But the budgerigar sounds more thocky, deeper sound and feels. That's depend of your preferences!
@@ClickandThock Thanks for the reply. Yes I know one is linear and the other tactile but interestingly, side by side they sound the same. Maybe it is due to the mic. positions. I like both and still am confused which one I should get. Can you tell me your preference (including epomaker sea salt), I mean which one you like more flamingo vs budgerigar vs sea salt? Again, many many thanks for the awesome video.
I kinda have to wonder what the rationale is for these switches w/ mildly shorter travel distances. Like... is anyone actually feeling the difference between 4mm and 3.8mm?
Hi Great video, I’m very confused which option to select for epomaker TH66. I would prefer more thoky sound profile. Should i go for this one or gateron pro yellow or something else? Please suggest……Thanks in advance
I accidentally selected these switches when buying a keyboard (I meant to get gateron browns), but now I’m really excited to try these out! Great video, I love the focus on the audio
Thank you!! Trust me, you are WAY better with these switches... Gateron Brown are in my top 5 worst switches. These Budgerigar are the complete opposite!
Budgerigar is tactile, the 2 others are linear, that's all depend of you preferences. They all are great switches. I have to say that I have a preference for the Budgerigar.
Loved these switches but they seem to be loud for me. I would describe it as thocky, loud, high sound. Could you suggest any switches with the same thockiness, but deeper and lower sound, please? Or is it only about modding the keyboard?
Would love to hear you thoughts on these compared to box royals. Have half a mind to swap out half the budgerigar switches on a board to box royals. Just to figure out which I prefer at one shot.
Got these switches recently. Think they'll take a while to get used to from linears but I really like the tactility. Super smooth bump as well
One of my favorite Tactile!
Wow your channel is really nice. Tons of useful info with a clean presentation!
Thank you! 😊
Top notch videos, clean & simple for the keyboard enthusiast. 👏🏽 Subed
Thank you! :)

Yeah, that switches really stepped up!

Which one is better? this one or the akko cream blue? are the epomaker really more tactile than the akko or will I not feels any difference?
Personally I much prefer this one!
@@ClickandThock Are they too heavy to press? or there is not so much different vs the akko cream blue talking about how havy they are

@@OzanCetinaslan I have to admit that the thockier and bassist feel of the budgerigar really please me! Love it!
@@ClickandThock Yes seems and sounds fantastic. Again, many thanks.
awesome video quality ty for this content
Thanks!
Please compare Switch That Sound Thockeier with "Epomaker Budgerigar" Sound and "Chosfox x Jwick Voyager" Sound.
Will do a comparison video with these and others tactile switches later next year!
Amazing videos as always
Thanks!! :)
I loooove these switches. Bought them on a whim and they are my new favorites. So satisfying but much louder than my usual gateron yellows
Yes they are awesome! Best Epomaker switches I tested this year!
I kinda have to wonder what the rationale is for these switches w/ mildly shorter travel distances. Like... is anyone actually feeling the difference between 4mm and 3.8mm?
Definitely You can hear it, depending on the switch design shorter travel can mean that switch bottoms out with the stem pole instead of stem rails.
Was actually looking for it, what a great timing ! Thanks for your work !
Glad you liked it! :)
これを初めて使ってから虜になりました。
Same for me! :)

Defetively these, gat yellow are not thocky switches! They are more on the clacky side!
Thank you!

Sure! Check for the Epomaker Wisteria Tactile of Gazzew Boba U4T!
Everybody and their mother uses the Tofu60. There are other KBs, ya know, lol.
Sûre, but to be able to keep legit comparison sound between switches, you got to keep using the same gear even if there is better boards out there! 😉
at first i thought they were gonna be clicky, but they actually sound so good!
They sound a lot more agressive on my board. I think he types to softly, and probably have dampeners on his board.
Would love to hear you thoughts on these compared to box royals.
Have half a mind to swap out half the budgerigar switches on a board to box royals. Just to figure out which I prefer at one shot.
Box royal are more high pitched, nearly clicky... These are more thockier... Thats are depend of your preferences!
he is more silent than the epomaker flamingo ?
This one is louder than flamingo.
