Great video! Didn’t know that fusion duplication ruling. Here’s some other rulings other people may be looking for with branded lost. Cards like effect veiler can negate Cartesia because it negates the card’s effects, not the effect to fusion summon. Fusion duplication can’t be ashed, it’s effect is just copying another effect, but it can be belled.
I think the explanation is branded lost only work with cards "that include an affect that fusion summons a fusion monster". Fusion duplication effect is to copy an effect (even if it is copying branded fusion, its effect is not to fusion summon. Its effect is still just copying an effect). I think this is similar how tellarknight constellar caduceus copy effect banishing deneb can not be ash'd. Its effect is to copy deneb, not to add a tellarknight.
@@losifer3867 Branded Fusion states that you cannot summon from the extra deck except fusion monsters the turn you activate it. That is before and after, the ordering is irrelevant. Cards like Branded Opening or Fusion Deployment say "for the rest of the turn", so ordering matters for these. If you Synchro summon Baronne you cannot activate Branded Fusion, and if you play Branded Fusion you cannot Synchro summon Baronne, it goes both ways. Similarly, cards like Pot of Prosperity are worded the way Branded Fusion is, with its specific restriction being to draw cards the turn Prosperity is activated, not "for the rest of the turn" after playing it.
thanks so much for the knowledge :) Im curious to know your prediction on the next banlist, do you think branded fusion will get hit ? I'm new to the deck and I'm afraid it might get it :/
I have my own "wishlist" but I'm not about to pretend I have any idea what Konami is thinking lmao. I don't think Branded Fusion deserves to be hit with its restriction being very strict and would only hurt consistency of its home deck which I do not care for. If anything, I think they'll hit Sanctifire since decks like Voiceless Voice are abusing him for locks now
Thanks for the important info on chain link order. I admittedly didn’t always make a fusion chain link 1 because for some reason I was trying to protect against ash in search. Not even sure if the can ash your search anyways if it’s chain 2. Can they ?
Always make fusions CL1 if you can. If your fusion was CL1 previously, then the search effect of Lost cannot be ashed. Although no one in their right mind would ever ash that, they would always ash fusion or high spirits instead

@@themoonlitduelist7395 thats a no to both. If Branded Lost is up once Branded Fusion resolves as CL1 the opponent cannot activate anything in the next chain
@@themoonlitduelist7395your chain will resolve, then chain link one Branded fusion will resolve. Excellent explanation on the fusion duplication 🔥
Should we just start considering opening that damn Duel Academy already

Next up: a 3 minute reminder about Branded Fusion and how you can’t use it if you Link or Synchro before trying to use it.
This is a "Duality Aluber to summon Herald of the Arc Light" moment
Why is this a thing? Sometimes I'm able to have a barrone de fluer on field before I use my branded fusion?
