I was muted, but you missed a bunch of happy emotes :) And yeah, I resolved that Wandering Emperor on my turn thinking I'd have mana up for No More Lies, but didn't realize I had the wrong colors open... I play blue/white control and yeah, black hoses it in this meta. You can't land planeswalkers because they always have planeswalker removal, you can't win with creature lands because they're the only target for their creature removal, and a bunch of black creatures have card draw when they swing, so if you don't remove them same-turn you get out-tempod. Super hard matchup.
If you put in some discard or mill(not much, just a bit.) There’s a devious play you can make against mono, where you use cover-up to sweep, then exile all of their lands. It’s more of a green/black play because you can assassin trophy the basics after, but it still works against mono green(and to some extent mono-red)
I’ve really enjoyed this one. I put in more pain lands since being able to interact early is important. Also swapped in 2 The End for even more threat removal. Enjoying grinding with this thing!
I really wish there were some targeted card draw in standard. Casting Ancestral Recall targeting your opponent would be a great way to send a message, both intimidation and a literal message, "I honestly think you have no hope of winning, and if you thought it through I think you'd agree. Please consider conceding." Or maybe it would be a good idea to play a creature and kill it yourself. That would be pretty on-brand for Dimir and would communicate the same message.
I thought Deduce would be good, but I had no idea it would be a four of in control lists, good. Quick Study didn't even get that kind of usage, and Quick Study is sick af.
Have you been able to find any kind of home for undergrowth recon? I'm really interested in this card for having a lot of the same energy as arcane bombardment, but that might also include unplayability. Other than "bad", what kind of deck wants this? Is infinite reuse of lands with sac abilities good enough? A control deck that runs heavy green perhaps?
Every time you release a deck I need to play against a copy cat. Lucky me that they play without any patience and rather stupid 😉. I am more interested in the deck ideas you play "against" - getting the idea and doing my own creation. Cheers Rotsch
That one is a dead card against Aggro. The power of Deadly Cover-Up is to be useful against both Control and Aggro. You can't afford dead cards in Best of One, so you trade off too much for enhancing the dissection strategy more than it's needed 🤟

i just tried dimir control in 3 different Qualifier, and it ALWAYS lose to boros cuz u can't remove enchants and u even lose to mono red Urabrask Forge. It's fraustrating that i can't plat what I like cuz the meta sucks
The meta always sucks. Always and forever. When the meta is good it's because a deck strategy you like is viable, not because the meta doesn't suck. Embrace the suck. The meta determines what is playable, it's up to you to either choose a viable deck from the meta or build a counter deck that has 50 percent or better against the field.
