So because he breaks the law to buy texting and driving that somehow lightens things and makes them OK. A lot of people who are “nice people “have killed others on the road. Guess what still doesn’t make them right.

I wonder how difficult it is in this day and age to be level headed. Not trying to be funny with this. But these young kids have mantras like “keep it real”, gotta get mine” and of course “gotta get my swag on”. As a first responder I’ve seen the outcomes of these attitudes and mindsets. Rice is a product of all of this. Living in Atlanta in my line of work you see it happen a lot. Very true that innocent people many times catch hell because of the recklessness and mindless behavior. There will continue to be more until the consequences are so severe that it outweighs the mindset that leads up to the actions that results in these tragedies…

I'm a 35 year+ Chiefs fan but if Rashee Rice was at the scene and was involved in any way in the crash and left the scene, the Chiefs should be looking for another wide receiver. I felt the same way when I learned of the off field, IMO, criminal behavior of Tyreek Hill before and after he became a Chief player.

Both the Chiefs and the NFL should walk away from Rashee Rice just as he walked away from the scene of that multi-vehicle accident he caused. Ex-Las Vegas Raider WR Henry Ruggs making $2.50 an hour at Nevada prison camp. Sent Rashee Rice there to do hard labor for the same low pay.

If the law were heavier on even one dui maybe some would make better decisions. But whether rashee was driving or not. Every person in those cars showed us who they are. Most of them were big strong guys that might have been helpful in some situations. None of them cared. They walked away to protect themselves with no concern for the people they hurt.

This happened on 75. It’s one of the major highways in Dallas that runs from Downtown Dallas to Tulsa, OK. At night 75 becomes the autobahn. Errol Spence Jr almost lost his life driving crazy on the Dallas streets in his Ferrari. I would say in a week there are 50 accidents on 75, 10are very serious and 1 or 2 each week are fatal. 75 takes you from Downtown, Up Town to the Suburbs but at night from downtown to Plano it’s a racetrack. It’s crazy that Rice just happened to crash right outside of SMU where he played college football. I had adult children who grew up in the deep suburbs of Dallas. I told them to never get on the highway as young people. Just last year my oldest daughter 34 was hit badly from the rear by people racing on the North Dallas Tollway. Both 75 and North Dallas Tollway run parallel to one another from downtown to the suburbs. You do not want to be on either late at night.

To not see this is a logical fallacy… Bad decisions are not negated by the consequences, of not being caught, elimination of injury or death. It’s because the choice was WRONG. Also, the number of motor vehicle deaths are higher from texting than drag racing, so you’re right it’s not fair to equate the two, texting while driving is worse. Both are indefensible…

He will face consequences 4 his actions!!! BUT I'm tired of these 2 guys now judging the Chiefs & Reid's son 4 Rishee Rice's actions!!! I had to stop watching u guys & unsubscribe!!! There's 0 nuance in ur discussions as to how Shannon Sharpe & Ucho & others have talked about this!!! I am NOT excusing Rishee's behavior, & definitely NOT saying that he shouldn't be facing consequences!!! BUT he wz a Rookie & to make the leap & blame the Chiefs for Rishee's actions & Coach Reid, I'm sorry I stopped, & unsubscribed!!! I'm glad u guys NEVER did anything stupid or wreckless or don't have regrets for anything you did when you were Rishee's age, esp, suddenly experiencing fame, having money 💰 etc & not given any guidance how 2 deal with all of that & navigate it!!! Like I said, I'm in no way excusing Rishee's actions!!! But maybe sum should look in the mirror & say, "But 4 the grace of God, there go I." Do you honestly know that he's NOT feeling regret, shame, embarrassed for his actions?!?! His actions are amplified bc he's in the limelight!!! Don't make assumptions & sweeping statements about him as a person!!! Sure call out his behavior, but this is also not helping him!!!

Regardless of whether he was driving, the car is registered in his name. Granted, less trouble, possibly, but he's facing multiple charges for sure. All of this money to someone in their early 20's, entitled attitude, a life where they're living in fantasy. And many don't choose their friends wisely, most who just want association and are greedy, and they don't have the backbone to set boundaries on who they hang with. He’s already obtained counsel about to turn himself in soon, he was 100% driving. He wouldn’t obtain counsel otherwise. He also wouldn’t of left the entire science with the others involved. If he was in passenger he could’ve just stayed at scene for a better defense. He ultimately left so he’s gonna be found guilty. With how his reputation is with football & everything he won’t get slammed nearly as bad by the system as a “normal” person would. I don’t even see probation because at that point he wouldn’t be qualified to play in the league, this will be a slap on the wrist & hopefully saving his career for how corrupt the system is

A felony is a heinous crime that carries a minimum of a 1 year prison sentence. This is not on that level. Most people don't know what a felony is including lawyers or they are just totally dishonest in what classifies as a felony. They hand out felonies like candy and always looking to make examples of black people. I knew a white guy who had 10 DUIs but the right lawyer was able to get him off. He still had a valid license still drove a car and went to work.
