- Just a review on what I think of the bike. I have owned 3 of these over the years and have clocked up about 8000 to 10.000 miles on these tiger 800. This is not about the spec as sure you can find that info if needed. Only think I forgot to say in the clip was even with the touring screen you still get wind roar. So if touring a bigger screen would be better. Also getting about 210 to 220 miles out of a tank not 240. Fuel lights comes on at about 190 miles I have done 224 miles then filled up but was not empty. might have had 5 or 10 miles left it it.
I agree with you 100%! Not too much electronics is better. I've got a white Tiger 800 2011 like yours in my home country (Switzerland), bought it used in 2016, fitted a nice-sounding Scorpion carbon exhaust on it. Very nice and reliable bike. I've also got a 2016 Tiger 800 XCX (a bit more electronics but still ok) in my country of residence (Malaysia). Incredible bike too, lower fuel consumption than the 2011 version.
Best thing I had done is fitted a Nitron rear shock. Transforms the handling of the bike

You will not be disappointed mate. They really are a cracking bike to ride. I have owned probably close to 100 bikes over the years from race bikes to supper moto to street fighters. I still like my fast bikes but when I am out on this I really do not feel like I am compromising on anything. It does the lot. And so comfortable to ride. Happy riding mate

Excellent you got yourself a cracking bike there man no doubts great price too ,I'm considering one of these to have alongside my XJR funny enough .mainly cos I wanted something for less clement weather conditions very interesting so where did you get the beak from ? .👍Now subbed by the way cheers.
The beak you can pick up on ebay, old new stock. or Triumph can order them in. But they do come up for sale often
What is the make and where did you get your satnav mount ? It looks as though it brings the satnav within easy reach whereas the mount I have sits the satnav just above the dash and is a bit of a stretch to reach.
They are sold on ebay by a seller that makes them. I have used this mount on 3 tiger 800 i have owned. Puts the satnav just in the right place
Great review, makes a huge amount of sense, I am on my 4th tiger 800, amazing bikes. I have been looking at the Nitron shock but at the price very hesitant, you mentioned a possible saving, could you help?

@@markcraven7084 sorry mate just seen this message. I get them at trade prices. I think its 20% so about £120 i think. I just order them and they get sent straight out from Nitron to the customer as they are made for the riders weight. They take about 2 to 3 weeks to do.
Thats 20% off the price so about £120 off the full price I would have to ring them to find out
How would you compare the Tiger to the XT660, thank you for the review, appreciated.
Completely different bikes. Tiger I would ride 500 miles a day no problem. Xt660 I just use for a nice easy fun day of no more than 200 miles. Can not really compare them as power everything is different. If I only had to have one bike it would be the tiger as it will do everything. Did 230 miles on it yesterday and have a bit of fun with a Porsche for about 20 miles, he could not lose me lol if I was on the xt I would of had no chance.
What is & where do you get the top box from?
Have you seen the ADVMOTO indicator relocator?
It’s a Givi Trekker Dolomiti top box.
The rack on top of it is an extra
They do 2 sizes in the box. Mine is the smaller size

@@MrEnglishman6969 I agree but if she goes down (I'm talking about the bike), the indicator snaps off.
Triumph remedied this flaw on the Tiger 900.
What is the name of the satnav mount please?
A lad mad them and sold them on ebay so does not have a name. I will see if i can find him on ebay

@@MrEnglishman6969 Hi thanks I see there are lots of different year variations, I’m looking for a black one that would fit onto a Tiger 800 ABS road version 2012 similar to yours. I know they didn’t make it for my model but just something that I can get to fit it because not sure if later models from 2014 to 2020 will fit. Much appreciated if you can send me some links of something that might do the job, I’m also in the U.K. Cheers

I d love one of these but in club I am in they are plagued with electrical gremlins and dealers are shite
never had a problem with any of mu tiger 800s and I have had 3. Saying that mine have all been what I call normal bikes with no rider tec. ie no rider modes no TC or ABS just old school biking. Mine have all been 2011 and 2013
