    I am a deep sea fisherman, seen orcas in the Atlantic and made eye contact with them. They show a great deal of emotional intelligence.

      I’ve seen them just off the cost of Iceland we were in an inflatable skiff and a pod of about 12 to 15 were circling the boat and coming up to check us out.

    Orcas saved many of our tribes here in northwest during ice age ..we were starving as shellfish were primary diet and wasn’t available due to ice …seals were making it too dangerous too fish and we were starving orcas saw this and beheaded seals threw em ashire showing us safe to fish again Ocm grateful

    Sea world was my favorite park as a kid. Sucked growing up and realizing how shitty that place really is, bc of how much I enjoyed going. I was the problem bc I wanted to go as much as possible and helped that place profit and grow

    I still imagine, hypothetically the day orca whales develop a taste for humans. They will officially be the most frightening part of the ocean.

    Not even. Look up Leon the lobster. Because restaurant lobsters claws are elastic band closed their claw muscles are weak and they can even use their claws for weeks to months. So a lobster with no claws being released into any eco system is certain death for the lobster

    Killer dolphins from the tree house of horror episode. They're intelligent enough not to attack hairless apes so that's more than enough for me to know not to catch or mess with them.

    I live on Puget sound where the capturing of orcas first started. They killed way more than they captured, so sad

    While the Orca is extremely intelligent I would say the Octopus is the most intelligent.

      both are the smartest in the world. without question smarter than primates. in fact there are plenty of scientists who firmly believe if iorca or octo had arms and legs, they'd be competiting with humans

      I don't think there is even a question, 10 orcas ten times out of ten. They are bigger and they hunt in groups, white sharks don't do that

    I love orcas, very beautiful..
    But far as smartest in the ocean.. that's a hard one Cuz remember Theirs dolphins, their octopus.. both those alone are super smart. A lot of living things are smart in their own way..
    But definitely top 3 smartest is ( no specific order)
    Orcas, octopus and dolphins...

    They're pretty smart.
    We trained a few of them to tow whaling boats out to the whales for us to kill and retrieve for the blubber. We fed the whale tongues to the Killer whale (Orca) as they liked that bit the most.

    Sorry boys sea world has done more good for the oceans than you guys ever will ... even with your little pod cast.... those whales of today were born and raised in captivity and that's all they know .... I will continue to go to sea world with my family and hopefully one day my kids and their kids will continue to do the same...

      Trust me, go with your family (someday kids) on a whale watching tour and actually see wild orcas out there. The amount of adrenaline and wisdom you are getting from these moments can never be topped. I saw some last year in Iceland. They are amazing and would always do it again! :)
