I can’t do the top line this. I guess I have to hire someone because I don’t have tools to tuck that carpet
It would cost more to hire someone than to buy the tool. Bought my stapler at a pawn shop for $50.00 10 years ago. Also, can you use a pry bar or small putty knife to tuck
Nice work
Thank you
Camera shakes a lot.
Thanks
Do you have video of the opposite? That is laminate landing to carpeted stairs. I am installing the Laminate and want to keep carpeted stairs. I am trying to figure a way as to not have to cut off the top of stair nose since it is carpeted already. Thanks
not sure that made sense. I do not want to cut the overhang since the carpet is already on it. could I instead of a stair case nose piece could I just use a carpet transition strip if I just go back a bit? Thanks
Man I just filmed a stairmakeover where I had to make the skirt boards and I made the baseboard to match. I went with carpet on the steps and made a custom stairnose for the top. I will try to put that video together by Monday. But in the mean time, if it helps, I usually run the last riser with carpet and tuck it up under the stairnose at the top. Hope that helps
@@YOUFLOOR Yes that was what I was thinking. If I was doing the stairs I would add a board under overhang but since I am not I really dont want to cut that overhang. So I was thinking of just doing what you said.. cut carpet under the nose.. but enough so cannot see wood so tucking is I am sure way to go. I will look forward to video. Instead of starting in a room I am tackling landing with 4 doors. two curved/angled, stair railing and the nose discussed. Why I picked the hardest section vs a room, I will never know.
@@YOUFLOOR quick question.. since I am not cutting off the top hangover should I just use a carpet to lam transition or go with the nose transition and tuck as you mentioned?
Do you mean to nail a transition under the stairnose? I wouldn't do theat. If there is enuff over hang, you could rund the carpet up to the bottom of the stairnose, then nail a cove molding on top to hide the edge of the carpetlinksharing.samsungcloud.com/mEaz8Q7S0zLo not sure if that link will work but it is a top view and front view of a job I did. I tucked right under the stait nose. I made that stairnose by the way. With my table saw and a router
