Honestly, it’s all about practice. You don’t have to be fluent in a language to be able to sing in it. I’ve sung songs in several different languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Korean) and not understood a single word in some of them, and I can only speak one language (English).
Singing is easier since you can mimick what you heard
Pronunciation can be very tricky
I don't speak german nor Korean
My spanish accent is a bit trash
Singing in those languages would be disastrous for me
