I personally wouldn't carry all those items and would probably add some more and remove some I deemed non essential as I believe in travelling light, everyone has their own fashion of doing things, so it's always nice to be able to review videos and see what kits people use to improve your own
Very interesting video.i dabble a bit in pc repair and it's always fun to see what your peers carry in their bags.i myself like using a head torch, it keeps your hans free
What I'm looking for are the tools needed. Software is not a problem. If you are willing to become a reliable technician you must have the complete tools or at least close to complete in order to perform various tasks, complicated tasks in the field. This guy maybe old school but he's tool are great. Dragging all of these on the field may not be required as long as you did collect informations from your client. Or some technician are stupid enough to go crash in and got nothing with them and then "Uhhhhhhhh" DURP DURP DURP moment.. Thanks for this great post.
man, by the tools & hardware u showed us i thought this was a 10yr. old video until i saw the videos posting date. lol.... anyways... thats a lot of shit to take for me when i go out fixing my new and returning clients. most of my tools r muti-modern and have replaced half of my tools i carry which cuts down on weight and time for me.... but thanks for taking the time to make this video... good tips.
Steve I didn't hear you mention a couple of items I found invaluable which I'm sure you have and that was Torx bits of the small small variety, and a Network LAN Cable tester.
Hey Steve.. Love the Video, as previously mentioned by Keiran good to see what's in other Tech's bags of tricks ,,,,, Got any more repair Video's on the Horizon ??? Checkurtech UK
I HIGHLY suggest getting some electricians scissors; they are so much easier to trim networking cable and they are very stout for just general cutting of things.
Good day sir, Thank you for the insight into your repair kit(s). I have a question regarding the networking kit part. How do you stable network caples for caple management ? Just to be sure, what did you mean by the staple gun leaving rounded staples ?, so it wraps the staples around the wire ?, if so thats pretty clever, but does it not expose the caple to more risk of damage ?, also if somebody accidentially tugs the caple will the staples not cut into the insolation ? -kind regards from denmark.
I loved "Fragile" must be French...My question is how can you repair systems with the OS discs you mentioned you have in the box around (8:30)when aren't OEM OS discs for speciic machines with a certain tag and serial number? Or are your discs something else all together?
Well, OEM disk will work on more than one machine providing there is an exact match. The serial number is not an issue. Example: If you have a Dell 32 bit machine with Vista installed then that disk will work on another with the same specs. The only exception to this is HP, but that's a different story. Steve
Guru could you or anybody help. I have a samsung laptop and it won't connect to the internet wirelessly or with the cable. It was working fine 3 months ago i don't know why this happened. I tried turning on the wireless function with the button it won't turn on with the keyboard or the on-screen key board CAN YOU PLEASSSSEEEE!!!!!!!! HELP MEEEEEE!!!!
The most important tool or part was not even mentioned. It comes in an asymetrical hard case, complete with its own sound, video, and cooling. The necktop computer, aka brain.
