I think my main goal in general for the new year is to put myself more out there. Do things in the outside world I've wanted to do for a while (maybe even with an attempt taken place) but would clown myself on to convince myself to keep isolating. I'm turning 19 this year and I've always struggled with my mental health and even leaving the house. 2024 I definitely improved on that, but didn't hit all of my goals (which is also okay). I've also always wanted to go back into the world of creating art and becoming a content creator, so hopefully I can manage to start doing what I've always wanted to do without shaming myself for it. I think that's a good start! :D
@@josepha133 do you have any tips for what happens when you meet toxic people out there? i did everything in my power to go outside and live my life and i met the worst people i could have possibly met and now i have trauma and i'm isolating again and i can't even find a reason to go outside again, like for what? i really wanna try again but i also stopped seeing the point :(
baby steps!! it's all about the baby steps! I'm trying to write down 1 sentence in my journal everyday! I try to go outside once everyday and I try to go to sleep by 10 PM and because of this video I will go on a run tomorrow morning to challenge myself! but I think most importantly I'm focused on changing the way I think, being kinder to myself and giving myself credit for waking up everyday, trying again even though 2024 was a rock bottom year... This video comes at a perfect time! you are an amazing, inspiring creator that is still so authentic after many years! you are glowing! wishing you the best for 2025! ❤

I started running when I broke up with my bf for my mental health. That was 9 months ago and I now am running a marathon. I don’t put any pressure to be better I just run to enjoy it and have gotten better naturally by finally sticking to something I love! My next step is to try a bit of strength training. 😊love this video x
Stop scrolling and start creating is one of my mantras for 2025 I want to focus on decreasing my screen time and replacing it with creating more art and reading books + take care of my mental health which also means focusing on the regular movement that won’t feel like a duty but rather a hobby:))
I reserve this playlist of songs that I LOVE and really pump me up for the treadmill only! That way whenever I think about runs I associate it with jamming out, also just turning on that playlist sets me in the mood. Using music as a motivating factor is super helpful! It makes me want to keep running because I get to jam out to the next song and also decreases the initial friction of getting onto the treadmill :)
This was so useful, lately movement and building good habits as an adult has been on my mind, your video came at the right time ! In my end, for 2025 I want to focus on my inside. ahh i missed you so much! Exercising it's also a sore thumb for me, but your video motivate me a lot. My main goal for 2025 is (obv) to patch up my uni situation and actually study because i want to learn, not because i have to. But what I promised myself is to go on as many side quests as i can (the more artistic things i do, the more motivated to study science i am)

i hate gym so last year i actually started outside activities like walking 10k steps, riding a bikie everywhere and swimming in a lake during summer. lost 12kg and stuck with the movement at the swimming pool etc. i love how much more mobile my body feels. it’s mindblowing

Hi Leah I loved this video because I’ve been on the exact same fitness journey recently! I really had to motivate myself to do any kind of movement because the reasons of losing weight or looking different didn’t really resonate with me, and I also found the gym really intimidating. But I recently turned 30 and listened to similar podcasts and realised that I needed to do something to build and maintain muscle. I was also a bit tired of struggling with activities I really enjoyed, like hiking and climbing. So I signed up for a gym and a personal trainer, and have started going there regularly. It’s amazing what a change in your reason for doing something can do to motivate you to stick with something! Enjoying it so far, and feel myself getting stronger too!

i loved this video, it made me want to go climbing again bc i did it for a little while last year and it was so fun, and definitely strengthening but didn't feel like a workout :) for me, the hardest part of keeping active/movement is finding the time to do it under capitalism :| when i'm working 8+ hour days, i'm usually hungry when i get home, and then don't want to workout b/c i just want to eat and i'm tired :( i really hope to move somewhere walkable in 2025 so i can have that built in movement... i have also worked a few manual labour jobs (go farming!) that luckily builds that in... but its hard to find a stable movement routine as a young adult adjusting to the work week... anywho these are just my ramblings... thanks for sharing your tips!

For this year I want to be more healthy, I want to cook healthy food instead of always eating convenience foods. I also want to do more weigh training, im also scared of the machines at the gym so I always did cardio.. so baby steps for me too, it's been 2 weeks since I started using some machine but for this year I want a better routine for the gym and this video motivates me!! I just want to focus on me for this year (thinking of going celibate too bc I had 2 bad experiences this last few months) and doing more my spiritual practises. There are so many forms and I personally find it really fun, especially because those gyms often times have a great sense of community and people encourage eachother and the training can be playful :)).

My 2025 goals is to continue to hit the gym grow connection with loved ones pass HSK 3 also i’m on self-reliance, self-love journey, learning to love myself on a deeper spiritual level im pushing 21 on jan 16 a capricorn babyy heree more than that i found tarot cards really enjoyable and fun activity to do idk the amount of spiritual awakening happening to me in 2024 is insane i feel like a kitten that just opened it’s eyes and starts so see the world….. i know that it’s from now on a lifelong journey so i also want to become flexible and strong to enjoy life despite all 💯🫵🏻 i also learned that my heart fills with joy when i travel by myself so i want to take myself somewhere 🌫️
I've actually put an exercise goal this year, of getting a muscle ache at least one time a week. I haven't done any proper exercise in the last half year because of a staying foot pain, and now my body is screaming for exercise. Very motivating video for me!!!

this was really motivating for me :) i've had an on-off relationship to the gym and pilates and whenever i restart the goal of moving regulatly, i set my standards wayy to high and get overwhelmed. luckily it's already not body or weight-loss focused anymore but it's still not fair to myself and my abilities and i want to change that. i can't afford personal training right now but i plan to start small again by myself and also find a group sport to do, maybe even find some new friends there? anyway thanks for talking about this in such a calm and motivating way🥰

I used to go almost everyday while I was back in school but now that I have a full time job I’ve been struggling to find pockets of time to squish work outs into otherwise I rly do enjoy exercise! Hi Leah I loved this video because I’ve been on the exact same fitness journey recently! I really had to motivate myself to do any kind of movement because the reasons of losing weight or looking different didn’t really resonate with me, and I also found the gym really intimidating.
But I recently turned 30 and listened to similar podcasts and realised that I needed to do something to build and maintain muscle. I was also a bit tired of struggling with activities I really enjoyed, like hiking and climbing.
So I signed up for a gym and a personal trainer, and have started going there regularly. It’s amazing what a change in your reason for doing something can do to motivate you to stick with something!
Enjoying it so far, and feel myself getting stronger too!

i loved this video, it made me want to go climbing again bc i did it for a little while last year and it was so fun, and definitely strengthening but didn't feel like a workout :) for me, the hardest part of keeping active/movement is finding the time to do it under capitalism :| when i'm working 8+ hour days, i'm usually hungry when i get home, and then don't want to workout b/c i just want to eat and i'm tired :( i really hope to move somewhere walkable in 2025 so i can have that built in movement... i have also worked a few manual labour jobs (go farming!) that luckily builds that in... but its hard to find a stable movement routine as a young adult adjusting to the work week... anywho these are just my ramblings... thanks for sharing your tips!

I'm so happy to see you upload your videos are always so fun for me to watch!! one of my goals for 2025 is that I want to be able to run 5k so that I can attend mini-marathons with my dad and my little brother who are super into exercise when i go back to china. I've been going through a breakup so i think going first thing in the morning to the gym or somewhere just outside even must be good..!

For this year I want to be more healthy, I want to cook healthy food instead of always eating convenience foods. I also want to do more weigh training, im also scared of the machines at the gym so I always did cardio.. so baby steps for me too, it's been 2 weeks since I started using some machine but for this year I want a better routine for the gym and this video motivates me!! I just want to focus on me for this year (thinking of going celibate too bc I had 2 bad experiences this last few months) and doing more my spiritual practises. If you are looking for a fun workout that boosts your confidence, maybe you could try martial arts sometimes. There are so many forms and I personally find it really fun, especially because those gyms often times have a great sense of community and people encourage eachother and the training can be playful :)).
Whooooaa I’ve always been super fascinated by martial arts as a kid especially visiting the Shaolin temple, so magical! I think I’ll definitely try it in this lofetime

I've actually put an exercise goal this year, of getting a muscle ache at least one time a week. I haven't done any proper exercise in the last half year because of a staying foot pain, and now my body is screaming for exercise. Very motivating video for me!!!

this was really motivating for me :) i've had an on-off relationship to the gym and pilates and whenever i restart the goal of moving regulatly, i set my standards wayy to high and get overwhelmed. luckily it's already not body or weight-loss focused anymore but it's still not fair to myself and my abilities and i want to change that. i can't afford personal training right now but i plan to start small again by myself and also find a group sport to do, maybe even find some new friends there?
