Great overview! This came out when I was 16 and it blew me away, I think it was because there was so little 'serious' story telling in comics at the time. You could hold it up as an example like... 'see, comics aren't just for kids!' Now that I'm older I relate even moreso to the older (but wiser) super hero winning the day. It's something I don't see a lot of nowadays, or perhaps I'm just getting old! 😂

I wish I knew Mattel DC figures where a thing because I think DC Universe Classics was 1000% the best DC toyline, But at least I finally have another 2nd chance with Todd McFarlane's very own DC Multiverse figures despite not being in Marvel Legends scale, Great story while having some sad Bruce Wayne moments, Cool review on this unique Batman comic overall Carbon Scoring.

Gosh, this video is awesome. I personally love this story and consider it, if not one of the best due to how it transitioned the Dark Knight into what we know him today. Not to mention the sentimental value of you showing the blue costumed version of the mafex which was my first in the line, I’ve taken so many pictures of him, including the one with the famous lightning bolt in the background. Keep doing what your doing man! ❤ 🦇

I love the idea of this series and how you're covering it from the comics and figure standpoints simultaneously. I even learned some things about the layout of the panels that I didn't know! Seeing the different lines and their representations of Batman from the first issue was pretty cool as well. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the rest of this series through!

I read _DKR_ thirteen years after it was published, so it could never live upto the hype for me. Then again, I read _Watchmen_ after an even longer gap, and loved it - so maybe I just didn't like _DKR_ .
I'll take Miller's _Year One_ anyday.
Year One is fantastic - I wish old DC Direct was still around and we got a series of figures based on it!

I thought this was going to be comprehensive. No DC Direct? No Mezco? The Mattel figures suck. Not even worth mentioning. Why skip DC Direct, the first company to ever truly bring a Dark Knight inspired action figure to the market?
Either he doesn't have them or because the video is part 1 meaning there is probably gonna be a part 2.
I said at the very beginning of the video this is the first of a four part series where I go issue by issue and discuss the figures from that book. I have every Dark Knight figure ever made and I am going to show them all to you, I promise
@@CarbonScoring Well if you were going by issue, you missed DC Direct and Mezco's "oval" Batman. Both are better than Mattel's by far. Mezco's even has the rifle, which is only seen in issue one. I would have preferred looking at each toyline as they were released chronologically, DC Direct, Mezco, Mattel, Mafex, McFarlane... As for looking at the book? We've all read the book 8 million times, so there's zero need to rehash it again. I can't imagine there's anyone on earth that likes comics and figures that hasn't read Dark Knight several times!
