    I once saw a hill, in my Danish childhood. But then my dad told me it was just mom sunbathing in the garden.

      I have lived both places, it is hillier, but also less forested. Both places are beautiful.
      I was right; Agri Bavnehøj has six meters on Frøbjerg Bavnehøj.

    My grandmother lived right next to the national park all of her life, and I moved into her house for a while after she passed - 200 meters from the beach, right between the national park and Ebeltoft. I walked all of the paths in the video more than once. It's my favourite place in the whole country.

    That seemed like a workout for Mom, who had to talk AND climb!
    Such a beautiful country and I enjoy seeing more of its differinng landscapes and just differences in general...the swimming pool thing, just wow. Your husband was so sweet to acknowledge your courage to just plunge in (no pun intended, do they pun in Danish?) and get "nekkid" (that's Southern) with your kids like that, with no flipping warning.
    I love your videos and blogs and look forward to every one🥰
    Continued good luck with your studies and hope you do an hour long deal for us when your brand new, made-to-measure, bespoke, hybrid, beauty of a car is delivered next month!!!

    Hi :) I can recommend Rebild Bakker, where there are high hills and a troll forest. Every year, the Rebild Festival celebrates American Independence Day, July 4, in Rebild Bakker. It is believed to be the largest celebration of July 4 outside the United States. The first time the Rebild Festival was held was in 1909 in connection with the National Exhibition in Aarhus. Since 1912, the Rebild Festival has been held in Rebild Bakker.
    There are also limestone mines in Rebild and in Mønsted, which I can recommend. :)

      That is not hilly really, not compared to Søhøjlandet. I am also fairly certain Mols Bjerge is taller than the ridge up in Thy, but will have to check to be sure.

    Hey, I'm also curious about dangerous (non-human) creatures.
    With all that traipsing around over there, you haven't come across one snake?
    Being from Ohio, you'd be familiar with black bears and rattlers, coral snakes, copperheads or water moccasins surely.

    • @TheUnited4real
      @TheUnited4real 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Our most dangerous snake is the rattlesnake and the viper. Search for them. They are small

    • @muhest
      @muhest 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We don’t have indigenous poisonous snakes other than our viper. (Hugorm). Although it is venomous, onle a very few dies of it’s bite. Mostly due to hypersensitivity to the venom.
      Denmark is kind of vanilla when dangerous animal species are involved.

      I suppose I asked that still having the picture in my mind of that boy walking down a mountain in Italy or Switzerland with a brown bear slowly stalking him. I'm sorry, I am incredibly naive, even at my advanced age (57,) so not sure if it was even true or not but I have read European accounts of brown bear numbers getting out of hand with no effective Forestry,Wildlife or Fish and Game Service to keep them at bay, with a level that the existing habitat can support.
