Yes, Bornholm is one of our favorite places in DK, not mentioned herein though they showed an aerial view of one of the fortified round churches at the end.
Yes it's also the part of Denmark with the most sunlight, which is the reason it's called "solskinsøen", which means "the sunshine island". I was over there last summer and it feels more like Spain than Denmark with all the cliffs and bulky terrain, especially in 30 degree weather, which is basically the opposite of mainland Denmark. It's a pretty small island too, so you can see most of what it has to offer in 2-3 weeks or so.
@@GlobDaSon Not that small. I don´t think you can see most of what is there in a couple of weeks. You can skim all the different landscape-types the island has to offer, but there is so much more to the island. A true treasure trove.

If you come to Denmark as a family with children, I would highly recommend a trip to Billund where you can find several fantastic amusement parks such as Legoland, Legohouse (home of the brick), Lalandia (Water park) and WOW-park. There are good accommodation options and an international airport here.
As a resident of Billund, i highly recommend not to visit Billund and waste your trip.. There are plenty of other beautiful places in Denmark. Visit Billund only if you are a fan of Lego.

The Faroe Islands are better known as an independent country with its own government. It is a mistake to say that it is an experience in Denmark to go there, whereas there is no mention of the fantastic Bornholm. A whole video could be filled with information about the experiences in Bornholm alone.

How can you NOT mention the island of Bornholm. From the towering castle of Hammers Hus on a cliff, through charming costal towns along the northern coast, the round churches and national park in the middle, to the beach of Dueodde with the finest almost white sand in the south .. and everything in between.

Rating all places 1st Copenhagen one of the best places to be in it has all you want to see and I have never been there but I should tell you I know how it is 2nd Faroe Islands I have never seen it but one thing is it is the only place in Denmark with cliffs so I recommend it Aarhus is the ship port of denamtk “maybe” I used to live there I was born there it is the best place I have seen in my life ships all over and almost every 2 days there comes a cruise ship råbjwrg mile probably one of the best places to be at it is really fun I go there almost every year jump around in the sand you can be lost and there can be snakes but don’t care about that the church is not the 1st place to go but is a good place Odense never been there aalborg never been there møns kimt never been there mols national parks are rare in Denmark but you can visit them the castle is the best there I have been there and you need to be tall ok to see down and if you are afraid of heights don’t go wadden never been there rules are Denmark yes but don’t go to the grenen small sand storms makes you wanna leave so I don’t really recommend but if you don’t care about that well is a good place there is a bunker there tho see ya one day maybe I know this will not get 4 likes but im a Great Dane “not the dog the breed”
You have nothing to be ashamed of.I'm a Brit who has been living in Denmark since 1969 and wouldn't live anywhere else.Sweden,which I have visited over 200 times (climbing on Kullen for 45 yearsamong many other things)would be the only possible altewrnative.Our present favorite is the area south of Hassleholm with Hosdala castle.Doesn't get more beautiful than this.

The Farao Islands do actually have members sitting in the danish parliament. They do get economic support from Denmark too. Around 90 mio euro (in 2023). Greenland is supported too with huge amount of money. They receive around 550 mio. euro (2023), which is almost 10.000 euro per. citizen. So both "Countries" are not totally independent from Denmark.

tivoli isn't the oldest amusment park in the world, it is like the 3 oldest but the oldest is Bakken and is situated just north of copenhagen. There are no admission fees and the rides are cheaper and on top of that it is situated in a forest with an old spring just beside it ( that is why the place became an amusement park in the first place ) it is well worth the 20 minuttes train ride from Københavns hovedbanegård (Copenhagen central station)

I recomend the viking museum in Roskilde. Remember Denmark is a small country. You can go from one end to the other in just a 6 hour drive. The whole country is connected by bridges.
Tivoli is NOT the oldest amusement park - that would be Bakken placed in the woods north of Copenhagen - beating Tivoli by about 300 years - so shoddy work Joyous Travel.
You missed Lejre, and the Land of Sagas (Sagnlandet Lejre), near Roskilde. In The land of Sagas you can see and walk around danish history fra the first stone age and up till the 1800. Its an open air museum. And when you are close to Roskilde, tage a rest there. Roskilde is an old city, and all Kings and Queens are buried there

Bakken (opened in 1583) is the world's oldest amusement park, not Tivoli. It is also in Copenhagen.

As a dane I usually say that the three most beautiful cities are the ones that starts with "S": Silkeborg, Svendborg and Sønderborg.
Visit Silkeborg and have a sailing trip with "Hjejlen".
