I'm gonna be honest, I don't think this run should be 100% valid because of the fact that the other teams seemingly did not use the glitch/exploit. HOWEVER this wasn't exactly a new glitch - lots of people knew about it and I can see why this team wanted to take advantage of it (I'm sure some other teams did as well). The point is that there should be clear rules on what's considered cheating or not beforehand, so we can avoid to have this shitfest of comments and posts we have now. Good job on the run, guys. You exploited a feature which WAS in the game and which the Bungie or the community hadn't formally agreed on as being unfair and/or unfitting to use. If someone had agreed on rules beforehand, I wouldn't approve of this. But they hadn't, so I'm just gonna say gg.
KingVenom watch the video. If you couldn’t see from the video; gauntlet you have to rotate runner, there are 8 dogs now, baths just has heavier enemies and in calus if you kill a psion in the throne room you get tp’d to the purple dimension, meaning you have to swap frequently
So the complaint that people have with this is the fact that the wardcliff was even used during this run. Since the glitch is caused by switching off the wardcliff, simply using the launcher would cause the effect to occur at some point or another since it isn't a viable weapon for all encounters. This should not be considered exploiting unless they constantly switched off the launcher to force heavy ammo drops. In my opinion their run appears legit and therefore I say congrats.

Pretty simple, if Bungie says its a hidden perk of cliff then they’re first. If they don’t, then it’s a glitch and not clean fastest run. Almost everyone has been frustrated by low power ammo at some point. It obviously saves time to have full power ammo.

Sean Kleimeyer basically they run over a heavy ammo brick with the coil and then swap to another heavy in order to gain full heavy for their weapon. Each volley in the coil contains 8 rockets and when you swap heavy the game takes away 70% of your total heavy ammo but since the coil carries more than 100% of your possible heavy ammo it negates the penalty. In the prestige raid heavy ammo drops very rarely and using this could mean the difference between them being first or second since there was only a 4 min gap between the 2 (i.e. one extra phase of calus)
GreekAssasin did you watch the video? There is no way they would have choked a two phase. They may have needed one or two more plates, but that does not equal four minutes. Also, second place also did the exploit.

Therefore world's first should not go to redeem, but to the team that had a run free of any exploitation of glitches. This video you proudly put up holds all the information necessary to deem your team used exploits in order to gain an advantage.
The reason why people are mad is because bungie themselves stated that any glitches used competing for worlds first prestige would be disqualified. The wardcliff glitch is not an intended mechanic in the game and you can clearly see they use it throughout the run. If bungie had not made that statement, i don't think this whole heavy exploit would have been blown out of proportion. My 2 cents.

Some exotics in Destiny have hidden perks. The hidden perk for the coil is that it'll fully reload the heavy weapon you switch to, hence why there's a reload sound when you do it. Quit crying. Mida had high caliber rounds in D1 and it wasn't mentioned anywhere. If it's a glitch, then why does a sound play when you switch off it?
Despite missing the sarcasm, some of d2's exotics truly have hidden perk. For instance all of the boots that increase sprint speed ALSO increase slide distance even if it doesn't say so
Doesnt help with projections in gauntlet, barely helps with the the extra dog if at all, wastes protection to help kill bathers, literally 2-3 seconds late on every callout in calus and doesnt even say anything after getting tp’ed. Get carried by glitches sigh.

Osiris the controversy is over whether or not the run counts because of active use of the Wardcliff Coil's power ammo bug. If you are unfamiliar with aforementioned bug I shall explain. When you reload the Coil on it's last shot and switch to a different power weapon it will give full ammo to the newly equipped power weapon. And I just realized you probably meant the people whining about underbelly. It counts as simple as that. All the people who are wining about it are the people who get lost and are too mentally handicapped to either memorize pathing or, even easier, pull up a map on the internet.

Osiris the controversy is over whether or not the run counts because of active use of the Wardcliff Coil's power ammo bug. If you are unfamiliar with aforementioned bug I shall explain.
When you reload the Coil on it's last shot and switch to a different power weapon it will give full ammo to the newly equipped power weapon.
And I just realized you probably meant the people whining about underbelly. It counts as simple as that. All the people who are wining about it are the people who get lost and are too mentally handicapped to either memorize pathing or, even easier, pull up a map on the internet.
