Hi James: I bought an older Citizen Miami (olive green) that came without a rack. After seeing your great results in painting the rack gloss black to match the fenders, i ordered a rack from Citizen snd painted it black as well. I also added a front rack that was already painted gloss black. Not it is ready for light bikepacking or just getting groceries. I also took tour suggestion on the spoke reflectors. They look great and provide enhanced safety. Thank for your video. Much appreciated.
Hello, sounds great, I’m glad I could be of some guidance. Seems your ready for some road trips. Hope you enjoy your new bike. I’m still enjoying mine. 👍
I have mirrors on our other bikes, too. I can't imagine riding without them. They tend to look dorky, but safety is more important. I also have those same 3M spoke reflectors. They work great.
Great video btw I just got me a Ebike from them and it coming in this week. As a student and can not drive due to my seizures a Ebike is the way to go for me it was not cheap but worth all the money and took me a while to save up. I also do have a regular bicycle from them as well the Tokyo it green. Keep up with your content bro
As also an owner of this folding bike, and look at your height and body mass, riding on it would not be very comfortable once you get on it. The first problem is the distance from the seat to the handlebars is way too short, no matter how you adjust your seat height, using the backward angled post to widen the distance and/or the width, it’s still too short. This will cause the difficult when you start to peddle. The 2nd problem I’ve found out is the way too high handles. It can only lower down just a bit, so when you ride, the handlebars will very difficult to control. If the handlebars could be lowered more, at least you can put your upper body a bit forward, adding some weight and pressure to the handlebars and the front wheel, then it would not be so difficult to control the wobbling handlebars. But most of such discomforts are mainly caused by the short frame length between seat to handlebars and the weird height of the handlebars, commonly existed ton any folding bikes, I think. BTW, I don’t think many add-ones, especially those long rear mirrors is a good idea. It’s not just making bike folding more awkward, but also might be deadly when you fall. I think the shorter the better.
I like what you did to your bike. I had to sell my e-bike to fund some family homes destroyed in a huge typhoon, so I’m without a bike. Using my wife’s Dahon Curve D3, but it’s a tad too small for me. Great bike, though. At 6’1” tall, do you think the Miami would work for me? It’s bigger than my wife’s Dahon that has 14” wheels. I don’t want another e-bike, as it tends to make you lazy. Got little exercise from it. Much mahalo.
Thanks, the Dahon bikes are nice but yeah the 14” can be a bit small. I’ve been contemplating an ebike but I find them too expensive. Sorry to hear about the Typhoon’s, hope all goes well with the rebuilds.
@@jamesakaflcruzr4277 I hope so too, James. The island where my wife came from is totally devastated. But, they are a resilient people and will, over time, recover. They always do. I'm glad you like the Miami. I'm seriously leaning towards it. Love that navy blue color. Hopefully my 6'1" frame will fit it. I can ride the 14" Dahon, but it is a a bit small for me. Take care.
Hi, James. I hope you don’t mind asking. Just to make sure of the Miami’s stability, would would be so kind as to measure the width of the handlebars for me? Thank you so much.
Ayana Yes the mirrors can get in the way, especially if you are folding it all the way and fitting into a trunk for example. I left mine a little loose so I can easily move them around, but I do like them and come in handy to keep an eye behind me, lol.
Mine also has the upgraded seat. Just from the short ride I took after taking possession of my bike, it is far more comfy than the comfort seat I have on my MTB.
I also have the Miami and the magnetic tools that keep the bike folded isnt folding together correctly. Do you know how to fix it or do I need to get it replaced?
you dun mind I ask how much does your citizen cost, I did make enquiries they do not ship to sinapore. I think you reflector will be good for ridding at night too
songsuyoap Hello to Singapore, when I bought my bike almost 3 years ago it was $199, now it is priced at $299. Bike has been very good, no problems. I am still enjoying it.

I tend to like the look of the mirrors and yes the spoke reflectors really shine at night when lights hit it 👍

great idea for the mirrors! I just bought the Miami bike today! do the mirrors get in the way when you fold down the handlebars?

How do you like the upgraded seat? I didn’t upgrade mine unfortunately and I’m hoping the seat with purchase will be okay.
I enjoy the upgraded seat, it’s very comfortable.

I use a thin luggage strap that has a snap clip to keep it in place. When the bike is unfolded and in use, I fasten it beside the handlebars.
What size is the name tag? Super cute!

@@jamesakaflcruzr4277 they've gone up to $389 for the Miami, hence why I got a barely used Miami for $175 (has all the extras).
