I cannot believe they stopped here! They barely gave this very interesting and intricate series a chance. Who decides these terminations of series, anyway.....we have so much garbage on television that goes on for years. Yet, so many really gripping and enthralling series are canned before they really have a chance. They give us just enough to hook us and then, they are discontinued! Maybe, it is because they killed off some of the bigger names who were perhaps busy with some other endeavours, already. I am extremely disappointed. It is clear that the FBI was depicted here in a way too close to the truth. These days, with all of their Clinton investigation and the Clintons' trail of death etc. it is obvious this series was too close to home. What a crazy time to live in the US.

Thank you destroyer of time for posting this series. The best I’ve seen in a long time. But... Are you kidding me, I have just found this awesome series and watched all eight episodes in a row, I was so engrossed in the story, great actors, the action, the twists and turns in the plot and the great film sets and locations. This movie had everything going for it. Here I am looking for episode 9 only to read that the ABC axed the series. WHY..?? and at this crucial part in the story... What were they thinking!! How disappointing for not just the fans but also for all the cast. I am beyond words and truely shocked, as well as pissed off that I can’t follow the story to the end.
Sheeple tv-shows like GoT and walking dead were approximetly airing on their 5th season at the time Traveler aired. GoT, 0/10 WD, 1/10 Traveler 7/10 We have a problem and its consumers fault this time.
This was a top-notch show and a great disservice to pull it. The acting and storyline were far superior to anything they are passing off as entertainment now. So sad.

I really loved this series! Not my usual genre, but an engaging storyline, intelligent and layered, characters were multi-faceted and believable. Overall a great pity there is not any more of this, I hope it gets a reboot soon and with the same cute guy actors playing the two main leads and the black lady agent, they really stood out! I remember this was an 8 episode summer series when it came out. I was so disappointed that they didn't continue it. I'm glad a couple of plot points were wrapped up, but typical cliffhanger ending of most network series before streaming that don't get renewed. At least today, most series have closure so they can sell it to other outlets.

Following up on information to the cancelling of this Traveler series is that some critics rated this as very Minute and not worth the Viewing of it ! What imbeciles they are !
A lot of loose ends left hanging. Where did the rogue FBI guys take Kim? What happened to the black guy who was helping Jay and Tyler in the first two or three episodes? What was really significant about the painting (the signing of the Declaration of Independence, or Constitution, I think)? The fourth branch has to be the military/intelligence agencies/police forces that enforce authoritarianism at the end of the gun. Pretty prophetic series to have been made in the decade of flip phones. But there was enough conspiracy paranoia around back then, too. Post-9/11, and Oklahoma City before that. And the young college kids, thinking they understand the world, caught in the middle, not being told the truth by anyone - that's pretty accurate, even moreso in 2024.
If I had only known to read the comments first. They could have wrapped it up in one more episode. I wouldn't have commited to watching all 8 episodes If I had known I'd be left hanging....
They probably hadn't even worked out the next bit making it as they go along. I wouldn't have given it the time of day if it was stuffed with adverts on normal network trying to squeeze in for revenue.
