Hard Fi should have been so much bigger than they were. 3 banging albums with not one filler. Met Rich & Kai a few times socially in Staines in a bar called Baroosh. Extremely nice chaps and always had time for a chat. I remember Rich telling me in the men’s loo a week after the 2005 Mercury Music Prize awards that their Stars Of CCTV lost out on winning by just 1 vote. I told him that it was a classic and will be played by the youth finding music for the first time and the older generation remembering their youth ..I then bought him a pint of beer and got drunk . Long live Hard Fi
They had a really hard time playing live. Sounded very very different. I mean, it's okay for bands to not sound exactly like the recording, but in this case they just didn't sounded very well.
This song is soooo fookin' ace! By far my most favourite band to come out of the U.K. since the Sunshine Underground! I CANT STOP LISTENING to this song, it's THAT amazing! I'm obsessed and in love w this band! Thank the Gods for the British: if all I had was the shite played here in the states I'd lose my head!
Massive Hard-Fi fan from Australia. My favourite bands of all-time are Oasis, The Beach Boys, The Ramones, AC/Dc, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Stone Roses but for me, Hard-Fi is the most underrated band ever. I wish I could say they are not underrated but alas, most people from Australia do not recognize their talent. They're more than a rock band.
Btw: Is there a repeat option on vids cause I have to keep coming back to my computer to press "Replay" over and over and over and over.....This song gives me chills! I love when a band that comes out with an amazing first album follows up with something even more amazing! Welcome back Hard-Fi, please never leave us x
That kind of clamp on his finger looks so similar to the instrument Bellamy by Muse uses on Invincible, and I really think it's the same. Love this band even more after discovering this particular method! Anyway I truly advise you all to fall in love with this vibe, with the sad/happy sound combinations they put out and to the faithful approach they use to blend rock with electronic music! It sounds original, inspiring, decent, groundbreaking and full of rock to me! That thought turning down thousands bands with a commercial approach can't fit to this band! They rip your heart off and you can't shirk the feeling of heaven, peace and loliness held completely in this track! It really depicts space rock, they're probably meant to be assessed around this term and I regardlessly laugh at the ones who don't appreciate Hard-fi!
