I was interested in the discussion about spontaneous human combustion, as two of my nan's sisters both caught light at exactly the same time on opposite sides of Sowerby Bridge valley in 1899, and buried the following day after a hurried inquest. SHC was considered something ungodly etc, and the girls were buried in unconsecrated unmarked ground.
