    OK so it's now 2020. You still think it's a good choice now? I know there are some newer things out there from other companies now. What is your take? I haven't done any playing or anything in years. Wanting to get back into it.

    @3:33 it's a fantastic explanation : Enable Input First : left 1 send 1 (Guitar) and left 3 send 3 (Mic): is connected in channel 3. I got it.Maybe is that for DAW? Actually , In my understanding according to your video: First :Left 1 send 1 is Mic and left 3 send 3 is Guitar?
    What about the Output explanation( First 1 out 1 and last 2 out 2)?
    Can you make a video post explaining the i Input and Out put channel set up for Line 6 PoD Studio GX, UX1 by looking at the picture? ( you do not need to physically buy them)I am a newbie , so please do bear with me, nothing in personal..Cheers

    Hello. Thank you for sharing this video.
    My problem is that I am trying to set the input levels around - 12 db. But in ux2 the gain is only adjustable for mic but not instrument and I can only get around - 24 db input levels.
    What can I do for that?
    Your help would be really appreciated 🎉

    • @BrandonBurch
      @BrandonBurch  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi :) Although it's been years since I've used the UX2, I found someone who left a comment on a Line 6 forum that should be of some help. In summary, you'll apparently have to adjust the input gain inside of your DAW such as in Reaper. I'm pretty sure I never bothered with the gain when I used this interface. But in case you are also using Reaper, here's what I found. This is a quote from Digideus:
      (Quote)
      "If you(r) guitar signal is low/high, you can use the Pod farm plugin to adjust it, but the track display in Reaper shows you the FX you are using post-input, so adjusting the volume will have no effect on the input gain.
      Luckily, when using Reaper, there is a "Track Input FX gain" for each track.
      To access it, arm the track you are recording onto, then right click on the meter section of the track display and "Track Input FX Gain" is the option at the bottom of the pop up menu.
      I simply put an instance of Pod farm on this with a blank patch, and that lets me adjust the input level accordingly via the "input" knob at the top of the plugin."
      (End of Quote)
      I hope that helps you man.

    Hi. New to your channel. I have a question. So I have had my Line 6 UX2 for several years now, and I also use Reaper. Recently, I've noticed as soon as I arm a track to record in Reaper using either of the 2 mic channels, there is a white noise constant static sound in the monitor. I don't even need to have a mic plugged into the UX2 to get this noise. It used to work fine, and recently, something changed. I purchased a Focusrite to replace it since it seems Line 6 has just stopped updating the software on the Ux2. But now it is basically useless to me if I can't record my acoustic guitar using an SM57 Shure mic, if it is going to contain white noise. Any suggestions? I am still within the timeframe to return the Focusrite, if I Can get my Line 6 working properly again. Thanks!

    • @pre4122
      @pre4122 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, I have a brand new USB cable, so I am positive that isn't the problem.

    • @BrandonBurch
      @BrandonBurch  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did the Focusrite fix the issue? Is it still ongoing with the new gear? If it is still ongoing, then it may be a driver issue. However, if the issue does not persist with the new interface, then the UX2 may have died. Does the white noise allow any other audio to pass through via the mic, or is the white noise the only thing you can actually hear / record? Basically, are you able to record any audio?

    • @pre4122
      @pre4122 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrandonBurch Hi, thank you for your response. The Focusrrite DID fix the issue. I don't have the static when using the mic or instrument inputs with it. I did try updating the drivers on the Line6, but it hasn't solved the problem. I am able to record with the Line 6 UX2, but the white noise is constantly there. It's a shame really because I've noticed that the VST plugins that came with the UX2 (primarily just the Pod Farm plugins) will ONLY work if the UX2 is plugged in. So if I switch to using the Focusrite, I do so without the use of PodFarm.

    • @BrandonBurch
      @BrandonBurch  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pre4122 Gotcha, yes you are correct. However, I will say since switching away from POD Farm, I think I have been able to get better tones, sometimes for free. Check out some plugins by TSE audio and LePou. Those are some free options. I might need to make an updated video on this stuff.
