Carla Jan Walker: The Promise Ring (Part 1)
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 11 ก.พ. 2025
- In February of 1974, Carla Jan Walker was a 17 year-old high school junior living in Fort Worth, Texas. Carla was the epitome of the All-American girl, a cheerleader dating the quarterback of the football team who should have been the envy of every one of her peers, with her good grades and wholesome good looks, but Carla was also the kind of girl who smiled at everyone, who had a kind word for anyone she saw, and it was impossible to dislike her. The evening of February 16th, 1975 should have been a magical one for Carla, who had slipped into a floor length powder blue ball gown with delicate white lace trim to attend a Valentines Day dance at her high school, there would be a live band playing, the theme of the dance was "Love Is A Kaleidoscope", and the school gym would be decorated with paper hearts and pink streamers. Even better, she was going to be attending with her steady boyfriend, 18 year-old Rodney McCoy, and she had Rodney’s promise ring safely on her finger. But what started as a wonderful and romantic night, the kind Carla was sure she would one day recollect for the children that she and Rodney were sure to have, turned into a nightmare for Carla, for Rodney, for her family, and for every single person in her community.

I’m with Derrick about the meaning of cruising 😂
Me too haha
Hah it's just gay culture no worries
Agree with Derrick!
Me, too! We used to call it "cruising the gut," which involved driving from one end of the downtown of the small town I grew up in to the other and circling back and doing it again. And again. And again. 😂 (Think American Graffiti.)
Me too. It's a teen/early 20s thing to do where I live. Out cruising in your cheap crap car, checkin out the same old same old village!
You guys could do a 20 part series and I'd still watch and love every minute of it. *NOBODY* on youtube covers a case like Stephanie... nobody.
Agreed! Stephanie is undefeated. She’s truly amazing!!
Yes. Totally agree 😊👍
Agreed, her research is impeccable!
And Derrick !!!! I love his input and perspective as well!
Same!
Personally I could listen to a whole episode of just Stephanie and Derrick chatter! Your banter makes me laugh so hard, and it’s so satisfying when you get Derrick to actually laugh hard!
Agreed! ❤😂😊
Funny since that's what a podcast is....people talking. I love the pre episode chit chat.
Agreed!! 😅
Right? Video starts at 00:00 you're welcome!! Lol
I'm not even sure why someone would watch the videos if chatter is an issue
Right, like if you hate the chatter, just fast forward. But you don’t have to be mean about it
“Go get my dad” has me so choked up. It’s exactly what I’d say in her position. Heartbreaking.
Yes and it’s partly why he didn’t go to the police first . She asked for Dad, and he was much closer than police as well.
I’m 62… Cruising back in my day was driving around aimlessly and chilling with whatever friends you came across…
I tried my best not to cry when she yelled *"GO GET MY DAD!"*
It's so devastating and haunting. Poor Rodney. Carla didn't deserve that to happen to her.
I had to pause for a minute and I BAWLED. All I could picture was being in the same situation- I would have yelled the same thing. I can only imagine how Rodney has felt since then.
It came outta nowhere it got me full on ugly crying
I felt the same. I'm sure it haunts(ed) Carla's dad. To hear her last words were "get my dad"...geesh ..when he promised and made Rodney promise, to take care of his "little flower" 💔😪💔
Gave me chills. Poor baby girl. That’s heartbreaking for her, her boyfriend, and father. 😔
An interesting thing to hit on, I am the sister of a murder victim. We had been looking for my brother for 6 weeks when it was reported in the paper that the body had been found - and he had been tortured. The police did not call us first, even though the murderer had taken them to the location in the middle of the night. Reporters sit outside of jailhouses and just wait for this type of information.
No matter how many parts you guys do, I never feel burnt out on a case.
Me either 😂
I get burnt out listening to Stephanie run roughshod over Derrick, like she has a pure, unadulterated mainline to The Truth and everyone else is dumb for disagreeing.
But, that's just me.
@@scottcantdance804 that was me last go round. I was over it. Glad we are on a new case personally.
I’m digging the hair actually, it suits you 😊
@scottcantdance804 Then why are you still torturing yourself after years? 😂🤦🏻♀️
I’m certain Rodney heard Carla saying the words “go get my dad” in his nightmares for a long, long time. That gave me chills, I’m so sad for this girl. To be taken away like that and be ripped out of life so violently. My heart aches.
Yes poor Rodney to be incapacitated like that and unable to help her.😢😢😢
@@dianasimplifies Yes, I can’t imagine his trauma. It sounds like he loved her so much 😢
That part stopped me in tracks too! ☹️ and that was before Stephanie mentioned her sweet dad asking whoever she was going out with to protect her. I truly can’t imagine… especially imagining being in high school. Ugh. 🙁
Derrick, your description of what it was like when you had to bring bad news to families and how they were forever changed in that moment... to witness that... I can't even.
I got a hit of dopamine when Derek said how proud he was of Stephane for her work in the short film, and she gave a quick side smirk. So proud of you too!! Wonderful job!!
Cruising to me always meant just driving around, too. In the 70's and 80's it was a thing. People would "cruise" downtown and just drive around a bit, then stop and chat with friends, then get back int eh care and drive around some more. This was a form of entertainment at the time.
I remember doing that as a teenager in the 70’s. It was a blast!
This is how my parents met in 1979. Lol my mom had a Camero
I was born 1991 and my aunt always used to say we were going out cruising and we as little kids would often nap and she would just drive around in interesting areas and it was so fun great memories for sure.
Yep teenager in the ‘70’s. It was our Friday night thing if we weren’t at a house party. Oh the good ole days!
We cruised after football games and dances in the 70's. Many cruised to show off their cars and meet up with friends.
I love how Stephanie starts out telling the story. She's always respectful towards the victims and paints them in a beautiful way. ❤
My brother passed away in December 2017 in a car accident.. someone from his small town texted my parents and just said “have you heard?” And we panicked and tried to call him over and over and his phone was already dead
We waited hours for law enforcement to come to our door. While they were there confirming his death the news was already reporting it so that’s how the rest of the family heard of his death. People are MORE than headlines, it’s heartbreaking.
My favorite co-worker found out her 20 yr old child died in a car accident from the news/helicopter coverage
That is so wrong for you and your family to find out like that. I'm so so sorry😔 May your brother rest in peace
Regarding the news reporter coming to their door, I agree with Stephanie. It was completely wrong!
A local 18 year old died in a car accident. His parents had barely been informed when the local news showed the accident with his body still inside the car 😢💔
It’s sad that media does this but they do it because their audience wants to see these kinds of things. We can’t put all the blame on the media because if these shock stories and photos didn’t get all the attention maybe they would not do it. It’s a sad state of the world when we lose our empathy for others I am so sorry to any victims loved ones to find out horrendous news from reporters.
"Video starts at 7:30, you're welcome" 😂😂 I cackled, love that Stephanie Spice coming out in Derrick. You guys are the best, please keep being you and doing what you do 🙏🏻🩷 Rest in Peace Carla & all of the young women in Fort Worth whose lives were taken from them so horribly.
seriously love how they get along it’s great lol
And here I thought video starts at 00:01 you welcome

Yes thank you! I love Stephanie's case stories. But I stopped watching Crime weekly, because Derrick is to long winded. I just want to yell . . . ."ok move on".
This poor young girl asking for her Dad in her last moments.... heart breaking. If that doesn't make you wanna sob, I don't know what would.
"Go get my dad," that just broke my heart 💔 & that her dad called her his little flower & her mother's grief is just so sad. Can't imagine the heartbreak.
I agree with Derrick on the cruising. We've always thought of cruising as driving around😂
June Ward was my nanas best friend. Last weekend she went to a march in Ft Worth for June to push for DNA testing in these cold cases and wore a shirt with her picture on it. 💔 I want answers for her more than anything in this world. Thank you so much for saying her name. It’s hard feeling like these women have been forgotten.
I can relate a lot to Carla’s younger brother. My only & older brother was murdered when I was 12 & he was 17. Now I’m 23… I often think of my life pre my brother’s death & post my brother’s death… my life completely changed when his life was stolen from us. I don’t think I would be nearly close to the person I am today if it weren’t for my brother’s death.
Im so sorry you lost your brother like that. ❤ from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺

I love when you do multiple parts to a case … if there’s one thing I dislike personally is a crime channel covering a case in 30 minute video … how can you sum up a persons life or death in 40 minutes or less .. love the deep dives and the different perspectives from you both …
Rest in peace Carla ❤❤
May Carla rest in peace, thank you guys for the empathy and compassion you show these victims.
This hairstyle makes Derek look younger, I like it! Thank you for another amazing episode.
My dad is Fort Worth PD. He said they studied this case at the academy - obviously at that time it was still a cold case. So glad we finally have answers for this family.
I really love Stephanies intense hand gestures, clearly brings out the Italian 🤌🏻
Love them! So expressive. People are so different. I can’t really speak without gesticulating either but have been reprimanded for it before in classes. I just told them „sorry, can’t help it. My Italian ancestors…“ 😆
@@LittleKikuyu😂😂😂
Poor Rodney, his testimony breaks my heart. You can tell how it still affects him deeply this many years later.
This one has Texas written all over it! Cruising, culverts & cowboys! 🤠 🇨🇱
My best hs memories were cruising the square by the football field in Athens Tx. Yes, we drove around the square bumper to bumper for 3-4 hours on Fri & Sat nights looking for our crushes or a new truck with a cute cowboy we hoped to meet! 🎶 🚘 👯♀️ Great times!
I love that the family was playing dominos on a Sat night. Great job guys.
Cruising must be an age thing.
I'm 53 and cruising around , especially talking about teenagers in the 80s, means driving around. Usually smokin or drinkin involved
Much love to ya both❤❤
Yep. Cruisin', smoking a J. Lol good times
I graduated high school in 2018 & we also cruised while smoking 😂 i haven’t seen anyone else mention that
@emmyjulianne6850 Lol I'm 34. Did it all the time. Still do, but now it's a vape lol
This one tore me apart. Hearing about her dad, her brother, and poor Rodney had me in tears. Rest In Peace, Carla.
Thinking about the entire family is heart-breaking
Same. What was supposed to be a beautiful night destroyed things forever.
Lost my husband in Iraq 14 years ago today and I’ve been binge watching crime weekly videos , Stephane’s voice is soothing and Derek you make me laugh , I hope you guys are having an amazing weekend, thanks for keeping me and my mind from falling apart ❤A’HO ❤
I'm so sorry! Sending you big hugs and prayers ❤️
I am so sorry for your loss. Sending you lots of love and light ❤️
Praying 🙏🏻 for you and your loved ones
*hugs*
I’m so very sorry for your loss! Thank you for your service. My son did one tour. He came back. He’s not the same, but he came back. Hugs to you, girl.
Case aside for a second. Derricks hair looks CUTE. Ok back to the case. 😂
Derrick, the hair rocks!
And cruising always meant just aimlessly driving around our small town doing nothing in particular! Now it’s just going for a drive lol and usually getting an ice cream cause I’m not 16 anymore lol
I can’t get enough of you two!
The best part of lazy Sundays is a greasy cheese pizza while watching Crime Weekly🥰❤️🔥🍕❣️
Derrick learning the modern definition of cruising was amazing 😂😭
I thought the same as Derrick 😂
I thought the same as Derek too! I was today years old when I found out this "new " definition
@@BLINDEYES23 It's not new, it's been around since the early 60's. It's only new to you because you're not a gay man or a member of the lgbtqia community.
it's definitely an old term, way older than Derrick, also it's literally the name of a movie (that talks about.. cruising) with Al Pacino released in 1980
Legit NEVER heard SH’s version before. I got schooled too lol
Please stay focused on Fort Worth and do a story on the missing trio of girls who disappeared from the shopping mall in December 1973 two days before Christmas Our community has looked for them for almost 49 years
Yes!!
That case will be a hard one to solve ..
I’ve never heard a different definition for cruising other than driving around with no destination in mind lol,
I was born and raised here and I have yet to hear about this case, this would definitely be interesting to hear.
Yes! Fort Worth 3. Such a wild one
I'd love more parts!! The longer the series, the better! ❤❤
I was a runaway teen in this area in the 90s. 3 girls tried to kill me by throwing me in the Benbrook Dam, and the police didn’t even believe me. I’m lucky to be alive, as I hitchhiked all around the Fort Worth area. I’m responsible now, but thinking back scares me.
I'm listening to this in my car on my lunch break. As a father of a 3yr old daughter, I'm crying like a baby thinking about the boyfriend and father and what they must have felt and or feeling. So heartbreaking
personally all for Derrick’s hair this episode - Stephanie’s right it’s giving him a boyish charm lol
I got devastating news on my front doorstep. And Derrick is right. I'll never be the same. There is only "before" and "after". And I can never go back to before. It's absolutely traumatic.
2 of my 3 daughters have Prom Saturday and this story literally is tightening my chest. As a mom you’re soo excited to see your kids experience these milestones.. so it hurts even more thinking about it
I’m laughing so hard! Cruising back in the late 70’s was a huge back & forth circle through our small town😂
Love that Stephanie knows cruising by that definition, a true ALLY 💅🏼
With each young woman you named, my heart broke more and more. The impact these cases have on me as a young woman, raising a young girl, wreaks havoc on my life. I cannot even fathom what the families of these women went through. When you quoted that excerpt about how the attack on women would go down in history, yet it’s gotten so much worse modern time, makes my heart ache. I am relieved that Carla’s killer was caught, yet deeply disturbed he got to live out his disgusting life.
Cruising down here at the Southwest has always meant getting in a car and just driving with no particular destination. Something people do out here. Also if there’s a particular strip where everybody drives up and down, they also will call that cruising.
I graduated from high school in 1972, cruising was driving around listening to music and that's all!!😉
As someone who has lived in Ft. Worth my whole life, hearing Stephanie talk about so many places I've grown up around just hit different. The victims of every case are important, but literally driving past some of these locations on a daily basis makes this case so much more real to me. I had never heard of this case, but found myself tearing up several times during this episode. Thank y'all for covering it
UK here and I’ve never heard of “cruising” in the way Stephanie has, it’s always been driving around to me and my friends 😂 I think you’re on your own Stephanie
Same for the rest of us here in the states 😂! She is by her self on this one lol 😅
Oh gosh, the "little flower" remark made me cry. It's so painful to hear this story, even so many years later.
I was cruising well into the 90s! At least by Derrick's definition 😆 Probably because there was nothing else to do in my little BFE town. I BEG of you two to cover the Colonial Parkway Murders. I would love to see these unsolved murders eventually be solved ❤❤❤
Anyone giving you 2 shit about multi-part stories does not appreciate how much you guys put into these cases. Keep em up. Love em here.
Cases like this is exactly why I've started to use the terms "Direct victim"(Carla Walker) and "Indirect victim"(family and friends) to make sure that it's acknowledged that family and friends are victims too.
Cruise means just what they stated. Being 16 in 1974 is what we use todo. We drive around in shopping mall parking lots, teach each other how to drive. It was so much fun at the time!
I LOVE the hair Derrick! I'm with Stephanie on that.
Congratulations Stephanie on the film!! Well done you! Love that you guys take the time to celebrate each other's success!
The Killing Fields was tragic. I think Stephanie has a very valid point about Texas, Fortworth the victims that were found in these areas. Similarities, timing. What a shocking time for Texas.
Frightening times, horrific in every way.
R.I.P. to all the victims 💕
Thank you both so much for all your hard work and dedication.
If they had to suffer through it, we can give them a moment of our time. Multiple parts is the best, imo. I could listen to y’all for hours (and I do 😅). You are educating us while adding much needed commentary to sometimes break up the sadness these cases make you feel.
I watched Nancy Grace cover this and was wishing it was this channel the whole time. Your coverage is far superior. Additionally I love the hair like this Derrick. Keep this look!
Just got to the part about your hair and I was literally just thinking I really like your new haircut 😂 I think its a good look honestly!
LOLZZZZ cruising was frigging AWESOME! It was about hanging out, meeting new people and creating memories! It was an amazing time to be alive (although I am significantly younger than these people)! ❤😊❤😊
I was in hs in the late 90’s - we cruised in cars with our friends every weekend. Must be a small town thing. Lol
Awwwww you're so adorable with your hair this way Derek. Oh my god. Keep it like this!
Excited to dive into a new case! Grabbing my coffee!!
CASE SUGGESTION: A young woman I attended school with, Cayley Mandadi, was a sophomore and cheerleader @ Trinity University in San Antonio, TX when she died in Oct. 2017. Her mother (Alison Steele) was the driving force behind Texas' CLEAR Alert, as when Cayley was allegedly taken from the Mala Luna Music festival by her boyfriend (Mark Howerton), she "did not qualify for the Amber Alert program" at 19 y/o. While Mark Howerton IS the primary suspect in her alleged murder, the first trial ended with a hung jury in Dec. 2019. Howerton's defense then filed a writ of habeas corpus "seeking relief from double jeopardy" in Aug. 2021, but the 4th Court of Appeals denied it. There has been no retrial scheduled as far as I'm aware, though one is expected in the near future. Her case has many moving parts to consider (a consensual sex defense by Howerton, bruises photographed all over her body, party drugs and/or steroids involved, etc.), and I believe 48 Hours did a special on her case that could serve as a general overview.
I would love you guys to take a look at her story. She was a bright, fun theater/film student who went on to be a beloved sorority sister and cheerleader in college. Unfortunately, she never got to see life AFTER college. The community wants closure and anything that reignites public interest in Cayley's case would be a great help. Thanks for your consideration and all of the great work you do, Stephanie & Derrick - much love and God bless!
I've seen this posted multiple times in the comments on her/their videos. The best way to get that suggestion looked into is e-mail the suggestion form or send a email. (Not sure which they have)
@@KarlyNicole Thanks! I'm not sure if that's what their "Contact Us" page was intended for on their website, but I have submitted there as well. Have not seen an email address / submission form linked anywhere for CW (though I think I was able to email the suggestion directly to Stephanie at one point, maybe a year or two ago).
I've also tried to find their Speak Pipe, but I'm not sure if Stephanie & Derrick are still using that service.
@@winlynnnn You are on it! You're giving her a voice that she no longer has. Hopefully they see this and respond. The more comments and likes on this comment hopefully will get this noticed.
@@KarlyNicole My hopes exactly, thank you so much, Karly. ♥️ If they do see this, I know they will do her justice. 🙏🏻

I love the pre show chatter. I think your guys banter is really fun and wholesome. You two come across almost like siblings. Also, Derek’s hair looks adorable. He reminds me of my little brother 😆❤️
We called it riding around. We had shopping plazas that were circles. Sometimes we hit Asheville and drove up and down Patton Avenue. $5 gas and drive all night lol. Thanks for all your hard work!!
I love your chatting in the beginning because I love you guys. Won’t see me complaining. ❤
Derrick looks so cute with his new look. Anyhow great job guys, excited for the rest. Very sad for these victims. Very curious as well.
My best friend is in car clubs, and most if the names have "cruise" in it😂 we would always say let's go cruise the waterfront, and we would. Slowly driving on a nice day around other nice cars, with the windows down and small breeze.
Cruising has good memories for me ❤
You guys are funny!
Only a few mins in but hearing this monster was caught, even 40 yrs later, maybe there could some day be a resolution to the last case u covered on west Memphis. I'm admittedly still hung up on it but completely understand why it had to be wrapped up. The struggle of depression is real right now, thank you guys, ur uploads always come when I need the distraction the most ❤
Hi, the West Memphis 3 case haunts me. I wish it could be solved for everyone involved. Hope you feel better soon.
I kept thinking Derrick was saying "cake cups"
Anyway...thank you for your always thorough and compassionate coverage!
Hahah I love the chemistry you guys have not only with each other, but with us. The comment about skipping the chatter really made me chuckle. 😄
Stephanie, you are so young 😂 Cruising was a favorite pastime for us even into the 80s 😂 Then they banned it after things started getting violent and businesses in the cruise routes started to suffer. I spent many nights cruising Main St with my friends, music blaring, switching passengers so everyone got to chat with everyone! It was good fun then!
Edit: I am also aware of the other meaning 😂
I'm 37, a year or two younger than Stephanie and i know what cruising means lol. Us teenagers would cruise the strip, one end of main street to the other, basically a circle, every weekend lol.
i’m 17 and cruising is still used by kids today, in the small town i’m from cruising and maybe smoking a bit of weed(with a designated driver ofc lmao) is about all there is to do on the weekends lol
I'm not sheltered at all, but I was with Derrick regarding cruising. I do get "cruisin' for a bruisin'" or "cruising for babes" but my first thought was riding around aimlessly in a car. We did it allllll the time as teens.
Same here. We called what Stephanie was talking about "hunting". More than one in a day, "dogging" 😅
Sundays are so hard for me. Thanks for keeping me company, you guys. Love and appreciate you. ❤
Hugs ❤
I'm listening to this episode now, and Stephanie was talking about, y'know, how "normal" people look in a community - they go to church, they help their neighbors, and apparently "they wear polo shirts and go golfing" and I laughed myself into tears.
I'll be sure to let my dad know he's not fooling anyone with his golf bag or terrible handicap. 😂😂😂
For a minute there Stephanie was moving her arms like an orchesrta conductor while explaining. I love her ability to deliver info and I am a hand talker too 😊
Just starting the video but the people who are upset about there being 8 parts to a video really need to lay of TikTok because it’s obvious their attention span can’t handle anything over a minute long. 🙄
Keep making as many parts to a story as it takes. Your true followers appreciate the effort very much.
I love your hair, Derrick! It makes you look a lot younger, not that you looked old, lol. Really, you should wear it that way all of the time!!! ♥️
I agree. It makes him look very boyish.
I like his hair short better
Oh, a hometown story for me. This has been huge on the minds of people in Fort Worth for almost 50 years. I’m very eager to hear the way you cover the story, and I hope that you talk about some of the other young women who he may have murdered also
I'm from Dallas area but never heard this case so I'm definitely invested.
First of all I love the chatter at the beginning! I teared up when you mentioned that she said go get my dad because I would have literally said the same thing. That is gut wrenching. And poor Rodney, I’m sure he was devastated by the fact that they found her body and she was no longer alive. I couldn’t imagine how he feels. I need part two now! Lol
I lost it when Carla’s last words to Rodney were
Go get my dad
😢 oh how many times I’ve called for my daddy in life. Poor poor Rodney, Carla ,and her family my god 😢
Can you imagine going through your life, 40 or so years, and then finding out someone that has been a part of your life that entire time, is a murderer???? Your husband, brother, dad, uncle, good friend, etc. 🤯 How do you even begin to grasp something like that????,
Least they got to live their lives and enjoy family memories for 40 years. The victims and their loved ones don't even get half of that.
Yeah but I would imagine EVERY single memory that involves the offender is tainted afterwards. I’m sure it must be traumatizing in a different way too. 🥺
This case reminds me so much of Mary Elizabeth Quigley who was murdered in 1977 in my hometown, Santa Clara. Nothing like this had ever happened in our little (at the time) town. The murder was a cold case for 30 years and how they solved it is the FASCINATING part.
Got my Kcups! It's my first time trying Criminal Coffee and it's easily my favorite! Keep them coming!
I got them, too. The one with all three types. First thing I have EVER ordered from any podcast business. I felt compelled to order because Stephanie scoffed that they would be popular. So, I guess I'm a brat and that type of marketing works on me 😅.
You guys talking about cruising is hilarious lol I'm Catholic and also had no idea what it meant. Thanks, Steph. Expanding our sheltered minds lol😂
As a Texan, I’m stoked to learn more about this case with y’all! With all due respect to Carla, of course. And I’m so pumped to hear about y’all wanting to team up with that Texas DNA lab! Y’all are always giving me things to dive deep into later and I appreciate that 🤙🏽☺️
Derrick, I’m pretty sure I’ve watched every episode of I Survived at least twice. Totally addictive. One thing that’s stood out to me is the fact that more often than not, survivors testify that they didn’t feel pain when they were shot or stabbed, even multiple times. It seems like they feel broken bones more that being shot or stabbed. Fascinating.
They always think a stab is just being punched until they notice they’re bleeding, I’ve noticed.
I absolutely don't mind there being many parts for a case. I appreciate all the time, energy and effort that goes into the research and all the little details you manage to find to paint such a clear and easy to digest understanding of the cases you cover
I’m in my 50s…in the 70s and 80s, we went cruisin’ as high school kids all the time. You have the route all your friends drove…from one area, thru the town…and just keep looping til your “people” joined in and you linked up. It was like a revolving meeting area 😂 No loitering 😂
Stephanie's definition of cruising is something I've never heard in my life lol
Just watched The Offering. Great job Stephanie. Keep soaring. You can do it all. 👏💗 Just now into this episode. We used to “cruise” in our cars down Main Street. I’m getting old. 😂
Stephanie I know your def of cruising. Just came later than this I think. I grew up off Camp Bowie and went to Western Hills' rival school Arlington Heights. This is both hard to listen to and very interesting. Thank you both for the good you do. ❤️
I LOVE your hair Derrick! It looks so good especially when the light hits it.
I like your hair Derek!!!! It looks good!!! You look younger...boyish charm. :)
Never too much, 8 parts, 9 parts…the more the better! Please keep doing long in-depth series. ❤❤
Stephanie and Derrick are perfect for covering these cases together. You both compliment each other so well, you both have different perspectives which helps give us viewers a different or new way to look at things, IMO. We appreciate all your hard work, these deep dives are Stephanie's forte. Thank you for this amazing channel! 😺
I listed to the episode on Spotify last night and couldn’t wait to watch the video version. The story about Carla’s dad had me in full on tears 😥😥😥 All I could think about was my husband and our little 3 month old baby daughter. Every parent’s worst nightmare 💔
Video starts at 0:00. thank me later 🤣🤣🤣 (love you guys 💋, never stop the pre-case small talk)
Lol 😂
Thank you guys so much for the incredible research and work you do on these cases…SO interesting! Love your dynamic as a duo as well 😊👍🏼 Looking forward to more 💯😎
I'm just starting this video, I actually love the banter between you guys at the start of the episode. Love these deep dives too, getting into all the details is what's fascinating to me. You guys are awesome, thank you for all your hard work! ❤️
You guys are like stars in my eyes! I’d probably pass out if I actually ever get to meet you in person. I’m in awe of the hard work you both pour into these episodes and Stephanie on her page. I’m a total fan girl over here!!! I could have done more time on WM3 but I love this new case too!
Carla Jan Walker was such a beautiful, intelligent and sweet soul! And Rodney was as well. The things this couple could have accomplished in their lifetime together or separate are astronomical and when you hear Rodney speak it is super clear, at least to me, that he truly loved and cared for her. I believe they were soulmates. What this perp did changed the course of many lives that night. I wish the perp would have met Justice much sooner! And by Carla’s father too! ❤❤
I would love an episode where you guys discuss a handful of old cold cases that have been solved because of recent technology!
