"The Raven" lyrics:
The clock struck midnight / And through my sleeping
I heard a tapping at my door / I looked but nothing
Lay in the darkness / And so I turned inside once more
To my amazement / There stood a raven
Whose shadow hung above my door
Then through the silence / It spoke the one word
That I shall hear for evermore / Nevermore
Thus quoth the raven, nevermore
And still the raven remains in my room / No matter how much I implore
No words can soothe him / No prayer remove him
And I must hear for evermore
Quoth the raven, nevermore / Thus quoth the raven, nevermore
Quoth the raven, nevermore / Thus quoth the raven, nevermore
Nevermore, nevermore, nevermore, never
Nevermore, nevermore, never
Nevermore, nevermore, never
Nevermore, nevermore, nevermore, never
Nevermore, nevermore, never
Nevermore, nevermore...
... nevermore.
I put the 8 track of this album on back in 1978 on a brisk fall evening and proceeded to have the most incredible love-making session with my girlfriend at the time. I'll never forget that night as long as I live.
Fantastic I'm 69 now nothing but fabulous music 🎶 ever more!!!
Poe ettic justice!
I would crank this up and shake the whole house with this. It drove my parents, siblings, and neighbors crazy.
I had an amazing sound system as a teenager.
Same here...lmao
My neighbors were acquainted well with my musical tastes
You probably dont care but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can stream all the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of months =)
@Jayce Hayes yup, I've been watching on Instaflixxer for since november myself :D
This is jum of music 🥂✌👍👌
I recorded this one and a couple more off the album to a cassette tape - I had borrowed the LP from an plder friend, at the time the APP were not a well-known band at all outside of the UK - and my brother took to using "The Raven" for practising on his drum kit at home. :)
I've been listening to this since it was released. It's an incredible album.
A magical sound! Alan Parsons is a musical genius!
As good as I Robot and Turn of a Friendly Card are, nothing beats this album. So vast sounding.
Brilliant. Cool video too. Well done. TYVM!
alan parsons and edgar a. poe. what a combination!!!! good memories. thnxs
It doesn't matter what Alan Parsons project song it is because everything they do is totally awesome thanks for an awesome amazing group sir 👍👌👍 u Rock.
still cherishing and sharing this. Masterpiece. Gratitude,
I thank my father so much for showing me this album when I was a kid 😣
Great music!
...........A TIMELESS CLASSIC FROM 1976.........!!!!!!!!!!!!
This music was based on Edgar Allen Poe's Poems. Thank you for sharing.
A decade later, German band Propaganda cut an even greater , epic song using Poe's actual poem (assisted by legendary producers Trevor Horn and Stephen Lipson, opening one of the greatest albums of the 1980s). But yeah, Alan Parsons' debut album is a fine record too.🎶🎹
The Raven "Nevermore"
The Alan Parsons the gold music

I would like to compliment you on the graphics in this video they are spectacular!!!

Pure musical layering and bliss one of my absolute favorite songs of all time and then once you add the raven into it it pushes it right over the top,,,incredible
un capolavoro rifinito con una perla geni
I like all of the Oregon and Columbia Gorge pictures in this video! Thank you very much! Would have liked to continue on to the “Tell Tale Heart!”
I bought the vinyl record growing up. Am amazing work to be sure!!
🌟🎶🎵👍🏾🎵🎶🌟
Not the original version. The original one don't have the very fastidious guitar riff on the last part of "The Raven". I also bought it, vinil of course, when I was 16 and still have.
@@saverioscaccianoce6461You're right. 😉 I should listen to the music pieces until the end in the future.
One of the best CDs in my collectiion.

the raven remains in my room...forever more.
What do you mean by preyers ???
He has done some good stuff since but nothing surpasses Tales. I bought it when it came out and played and played it through the late 1970’s, it seems imposible now, just a dream.
Tolle Fotos zu dieser Musik.
Just had to play it ®️🖤
Beautiful
Thankyou for infomation
a dream within a dream,amazing
Thanks for posting this REAL original with the original mix (save the added solo near the end). I just slogged through the remix and it sounded dull and in dire need of a set of balls!!
Buena presentacion. My favorite project song,
i was 20 when this came out ....WOW !
Dude you old af.
Just an amazing video !
oldies vinyl remix rocks.! thank you
Maravilloso!!! Bellísimo tema!!!
Thanks for the comment, glad you like it.
indeed
This is the original 1976 version (The original version starts with music fading in and not with vocal speech).
See more at this great video: th-cam.com/video/DggAv9Vsfoo/w-d-xo.html ('Album differences: Tales of' etc. by 'Laineycrusoe').
great
I prefer this version without the guitar riff added. the intro by Orson Welles is ok though.
I thought this was the original song. The version with the Orson Wells intro is nice too but I really like the instrumental version from 1976 as it fades up. I agree, I also prefer the mix of both songs, playing just one would sound the way Chicago's Hard to say I'm sorry sounds without the dramatic end, just like many dumb radio DJs play it.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best off Alen Parsons...but also the end off his activities
Can someone please give me a link to the full album WITH the (added) guitar solo's. I just love the one in this one. There was one on TH-cam but is was deleted please please please
5 years later, but sure. Both the LP and CD versions of the album are on YT and Spotify which I appreciate.
