I love watching fireworks from my boat. I have a 2000 Sea Ray 340 Sundancer on Lake Erie by the Huron River. Always a great time to go out and watch the fireworks! I have been boating almost all of my 60 years and it seems that every time I go out onto the water I still learn something. Safe travels.

Great job guys! Keeping your cool is key. Weather stories are the best. If it was all smooth sailing we wouldn’t have anything to tell.

These are the stories we tell, that stand the test of time and retelling. The times when all is rosy are nice, but we honor the times when we overcome.

A calm sea never made a good sailor. The lessons learned thru tough experiences are there with you for a lifetime. great job staying calm and in control of things even if in the moment it seems like you're lost you can press on and come out the other side better for the experience. CUOTO

I don't believe you are alone. I think even veteran captains continue to learn. The key as you mentioned is remaining calm and moving through steps to control the situation. We'll done. Love your honest and truthful videos.

Good job keeping the boat and the crew safe in a very scary situation. I'm not a fan of fireworks....seen one you've seen them all. But over the years my family has whined enough that I chose to go. I never anchor to watch the show. Most of the time I'd reserve a slip at a marina where the show was visible. avoiding all the drunks and inexperienced boaters who haven't a clue. The times I did not get a slip I would arrive on the outskirts of where the show was to be maybe 20 minutes to a half hour before. We still had as good of view as anyone but we could stay away from the madness. After the Big Finish we could be underway in uncrowded water....🎆🎇🧨

I'm a veteran. You can thank your military training during stressful situations.

Check out McMaster Car for hard to find hardware...If they don't have it it probably doesn't exist. At least where I am stuff normally comes next day.

Turns out the bolt is a British metric, thread size 12. I had to order the nuts from a manufacturer who makes the British standard sizes. I didn’t know that was even a thing till this project. Lol
