The ideas used to design this beautiful home are, for the most part, in line with my own. I appreciate the fact that this home does not have an overly big layout. The great room is just the right size as are the bedrooms and kitchen. The stand-alone garage is exactly what I'll do when I get to the design phase of my own dream home. I've only recently subscribed to your channel, so a lot of these ideas are new to me, but also inspiring. Thank you.

I really love this home! I love the detached garages. I also love the master bedroom with the master bathroom. I like the fact that it only has 2 bedrooms & that you have a loft for your master bedroom.

It's a gorgeous home everything about it is very tastefully done.
I love all the warm wood with the stacked stone fireplace, the slate backsplash and floors, the contrast of the gray cabinetry with the logs. The windows, the hickory plank flooring and even the layout all very well done. Then there's the surrounding nature views, it's a showstopper for sure.

Thank you very much! Here is some info Trees are a natural resource that are renewed. Since 1940, we have grown more trees each year in America than we have used for making paper, houses, books and other things we use every day.

No tengo idea de cual es el precio por una casa con ese estilo, el estilo Golden Eagle, pero amerita cada moneda! time stamp 6:06 you show the house plans showing the laundry as 8'6" x 9'6" and if you count the 12"x12" floor tiles you can confirm that the room is only 6' wide not 8'6". I know because my laundry/linen/pantry/utility room is 8'x10' and you have 2' for the countertop, washer and dryer then 4 tiles, I have the same 2' for washer, dryer, then standing freezer, and storage rolling rack, then 3' walkway then 2' on the other wall for a pantry/linen/storage cabinet. Other than that gorgeous house

Going with the built in EV charging wiring is an excellent idea for now and the future. With the Level 2 outlet you have there, the owners will get fast charging speeds and never have to worry when they pull out of the garage about going anywhere.

Until the power goes out then you have an emergency and your EV isn't charged.
@@marcodarko6941 and when the power goes out and your battery storage kicks in you have power and your panels continue pulling power in while your neighbors are in the dark. Our Tesla storage packs give us 7 days of no-grid power --- even when there's no sun (which there always is).
It's funny that, in the USA, "log cabin", means "enormous country mansion in the forest".
In other countries, it means, "tiny, dingy, badly insulated, basic hut".

We have about a1000 plans on our website www.goldeneagleloghomes.com but what would happen is we would custom design it for your local codes and then design the home so it would be efficient to add on to later, call us sometime
My friend owned a really big log cabin for a couple years and then she moved because the inside of those can be pretty depressing because the walls are all one color unless you actually hang drywall on them and it gets pretty dark in there
We find most of our clients use approximately 50% drywall, and interior stain light colors. Here is some trivia, our plans tend to have 25%-35% more glass in them than a typical home which aids the light and bright wish list.

What size square timbers do you normally use in a house? I'm sure you offer many options, but what is the most popular?
8x8 and 10x10 are most popular, depends on a lot of variables, room size, the look your trying to achieve etc. we would have that discussion with you when we are drawing your custom home, thanks for asking

Very nice but that 3 step up double door under the portico ruined the beauty of that entry. This is up on a hill so no flood concerns it absolutely should have been a level entry.

Ha, ha it's rarely an easy thing. Try this it worked for these folks.
Work 6 days a week every week for 30 plus years, pick a good paying field and stay in the field you chose, don't jump around in different fields, that way you are not always the newbie and will get paid more for your seniority and knowledge. . Invest your money and don't get a divorce.

It’s beautiful but it bothers me how many trees had to be cut down to build this place. Some of these trees are hard to come by. Why don’t they use pine? Anyway it’s just a big symbol of the decimation of our resources. There’s just no reason to make anything this big. Are they giants? Are there 30 people in this family?

Sustainable harvest is planting trees to replace the ones logged. Tree plantations can be put on land that has already been deforested or degraded. Doing so contributes to improving the overall health of the land and can help to meet demand for wood, since these plantations are run like tree farms. The goal of these plantations can also be the long-term protection, restoration, and conservation of natural forests.
