I live in Chicago and been a bears fan my whole life. It would be very interesting to see the renderings seeing how the space where soldier field sits is so congested and not to mention on the museum campus
Very true, I used to go down to Chicago from Milwaukee all the time and it's a nightmare every time. The only good time for me was right after morning rush hour at about 9-10am.
I don't love an indoor stadium but it's a clear play for Chicago to host a Super Bowl, and honestly I'm here for it. Super Bowl week in McCormick Place would have so much potential, and the infrastructure in the area is great already with the busway into downtown
The Bears owners are clever if they get their new stadium in the city. Arlington Heights was probably nothing more than a bluff & instead land to build a new practice facility similar to Ford Center for the Cowboys. Well played!
if your building in the soldier field parking lot where will everyone park, soldier field isnt going anywhere, it will most likley get shrunk down somewhat and make it a 20k soccer specific stadium. isn't the whole point of arlington heights is so the bears can have a stadium district and an on site train station.
I like his college football, mansion & politics video best. And when he do just him talking life updates i like his streams. 911 college basketball & stadiums i don’t like
No more indoor stadiums . When games inside it feels soulless . It’s like college football bowl game in fiesta or cotton. no energy & no fans it feels like
That's not where the money is. If your city wants to host a Superbowl or host other major events, they aren't going to host them in a cold climate stadium outdoors in the winter months. A lot of these outdoor stadiums especially up north go dorment once football season is over, because it's to cold to host anything else in the winter. So if you want to have a stadium that you can use all year round in cold climates, then you have to have some type of domed structure to do so.
@@jonathanscrutchensYT As is a Super Bowl once every 4 years can pay for a dome. Lets face it - it's the big money club and their paid for politicians.
Chicagoan here. I still believe this is jockying for better tax incentives at the Arlington Heights property. The Bears do not own Soldier Field, The Chicago Park Distract owns it and which controls all the revenue flow, advertising , non football events, surrounding development etc… Thats whan any football franchise wants a piece of. Remember Soldier Field is iin a stretch of lakefront parkland which is not going to be turned over to private developement. The 2003 renovation added some parking but is still abysmal. Even if you take CTA train its nearly a 1-1.5 mile walk through park to get to stadium , Ubers cannot get you close either. Getting to and from soldier field is a chore eventhgough the placement of soldier field looks great (maybe, at least, to folks unfamiliar with Chicago).
I really hope the Jaguars move to Chicago because they really want a new stadium and the Jags would become a popular team in 5 years because of the market value in Chicago

What a wasted opportunity. The city of Chicago is nothing but an over taxed, crime ridden Hell-scape, with a retard for a mayor running the show. They should build on the plot of land they bought outside of the city.

Yeah all those KC fans needing amputations after that playoff game due to frostbite sure sold me on outdoor stadiums. The weather in Chicago sucks for most of the year. I am happy my Colts have a retractable roof. It's the best of both worlds -- outdoor games when it's nice, indoor games when it's not. Plus, Lucas Oil Stadium can host lots of non-football events like conventions and the Final Four.
@@danieldougan269 Yes I understand but in KC fans did not dress properly. I wish more teams would use a retractable roof like Lucas Oil and MLB and use said roof properly like Lucas Oil or Milwaukee Brewers.
3 billion on a stadium and it's used only 10 times a year because it's outdoors. a dome can host many things from the ncaa tournament, super bowl, college football playoff championship, car shows, boats shows, trade shows, international soccer in the winter, nba all star game, wrestlemania, super concerts all year long(not just the summer months), bowl game.
I have seen renderings of new stadium. it's going to resemble a clown dome. Lots of color on the outside, the roof will be red and look like a clown nose. There will be a lot of flags going around on the oval outside. The McCaskills have already signed up circus circus as the name of the stadium. Opening day first game there they will have dancing Russian bears there should be a treat for all the fans. lol
Fr, I went to the week 17 Chicago bears Vs Falcons game and when the snow was hitting me, sure it was cold, but it just made the energy higher and it felt like a Bears, the snow was what made it really feel like a Bears game

It needs to be a translucent roof. Retractable roofs are outdated.
