The atmosphere is electric. The play off finals were proper finals. Full stadium, thick atmosphere, crowds shouting and singing till the end. It doesn't matter if it was Gillingham Vs Man City. That's the beauty of it. Wow!!
4:10 That's game over ... that's killed the game off now
5:00 The game's not over yet, I said that
😂 contradictory or what?
lol i noticed that too,
@@johnvalentine8941 loool
That was a preview of the "hot take era" of sports we are squarely in now 😢😂
i simply don't think without that play off final in 99
man city would not be where they are today
being on the brink of a treble
So city was a tin pot football club before 2008?
@@rumplestilskin223 ...and you wish you were in the shoes of City fans.
@@rumplestilskin223
We've never been a tinpot football club do your research, sometimes a comedy of errors but never tinpot
@@rumplestilskin223brain dead fool.
@@rumplestilskin223 they had a full stadium every home game even in the 3rd division
As a new fan and very new to football this is very great to watch and see the history when I wasn't aware of it.. World Cup 2022 introduce me to this amazing sport
I can relate, after seeing my country reach the semi-finals I got passionate about football.
Legends of old... Will always be remembered
everybody going to say that Aguero's goal saved us, but you also should remember these games.....
The most important game in our history
@yeet8336 Indeed, we've seen some very important goals in the last 10/12 years, Yaya, Sergio. Dzeko, Gundo but the MOST important goal EVER is Paul Dickov's goal in 99.
Your history = 2009-2024 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This was from 1999 so it's obvious you're wrong. Look and listen to that crowd. We were getting 35k home attendance in the 3rd tier. Do no other clubs outside of the premier league exist? @@mohammodi
The goal and the game that made the modern era possible!
will never understand how they could ever possibly change that badge. seriously that badge was level above everyone’s, should’ve never changed it in 16/17
The real Man City
From this, to winning the champions league and completing the treble. Thank you Sheik Mansoor. 💙💙
They stole the show💙 Blue moon will rise again and again. I love this club
Ooooh, the memories 😊
It would be great if the club could upload some of our classic matches of those days in full on TH-cam. ❤
We score when we want
We score when we want
We are Man City
We score when we want 💙
🩵🩵
Goes to show we have a history of turning games on its head when 2-0 down
Haha, that's right.
Iconic.
4:12 'that's game over"
As a gillingham fan this game today is still spoke about and will be forever, the most painful defeat in our history just in the manner how it happened, we were that close😢….And it was the making of Man City
At least you got up the following year.
Les go City ⚽⚽⚽💙
I so much love Man city. We always come back 😢
I will never forget this game
5:52 Sheikh Mansour my lord , Sheikh Mansour
Quite possibly the most important goal in our history
Dickov the legend!
Who is this dickov guy?
@@rumplestilskin223 You talk about history all the time. I'm surprised to see that you don't know him.

*Manchester City é emocionante!!* 👏👏🥹🩵
Goosebumps
iconic.
Come On Manchester City.
I'm right here. I'll never forget this !!
Nikki reaver. Goalkeeper who will never be forgotten.
Man Utd two late goals to win treble, Jimmy Glass scoring in the last second to keep Carisle in the league and then this incredible game. All this happened in the space of a few weeks in May, 1999.😅😅
Just epic...
Pure goosebumps thats why city are special💙💙
Outsung by the Gills, and outnumbered by the Gills,,if the ref had not added 'silly time' on before it even became fashionable who knows where City would be now.

Bottled by the gills
Man city fans were absolutely gobsmacked by our support they never expected it but fair play to them they were great with us gills boys at the beginning and at the end, I know because I was there. Up the GILlS

It's a day to be treasured and enjoyed. Turns beautiful
What was happening in Manchester in 99’ two of the best comebacks ever 😂

4:12 Kevin Horlock and Paul Dickov took it personally
واقعا زمان گذشته فوتبال معنا و مفهوم خاصی داشت چه زبیا بود آن زمان ها👍👍👍

4:11 'Thats game over!'' 4:58 ''the game isnt over I said that''
City💙💙
Харош👍
The game was over for Jillian when commentators said game over for man city
Fair play to the Man City fans who were supporting them in the Maine Road days and/or before all the money; it’s all the glory supporters I’ve no respect for - most of whom won’t even be from Manchester or the surrounding area
every club has fans from all around the world (barca real madrid juventus utd Man City)
u love the club the way they play not the trophies they win
Didn't know becoming a fan had criteria.
I bet forest got a lot of glory hunting fans back in 79 - 80 season when they won the European cup 🤫
Well city have been amongst Europe's best for the past decade it's obvious that they have a big fanbase outside England. Can't say the same for Forrest
every club has fans around the world. But you're right about that, the older fans are the more passionate ones
Thank you Manchester city
“That’s game over” words that should never be uttered when watching sport
I actually asked Brian Horton about that. He was very apologetic! Nice bloke.
that's what city does. every damn time!!
0:37 VAR would of give that handball and it would of been a penalty.
We love a 2-0 comeback
Yeah we do(:

The Agueroooo goal and Dickov are very similar from the pass by Balotelli
Oh wow, I didn't know this existed before tbh..
City 🩵
Who’s watching this today? City is about to win 4th PL consecutive and it’s by far the best english football club. Champions league, supercup and club world cup champions.
Man city fans like me bro

The co-commentator is every fan in the ground, 4.12 -"that's game over" , 5.00 "the game isn't over yet, I said that"
Cried my eyes out for days after this day as a child, hated Man City for years for no reason really, until Stone Roses at Heaton park in 2012 when i;d had 1 too many pills, lost my pals, card and phone, and when i explained to a few locals, who were city fans I was a Gillingham fan, they guided me safely to bus station as in their words they "still felt sorry for me", 😂
We've finally got a bit of investment from across the pond, we'll never achieve what City have, we are a small club, you never were, but when we see what Bournemouth and Brentford have achieved, maybe one day we'll meet again. Wishful thinking 🤣
Your time will come. You just have to believe. Like we did.

Horlock,
When does the cheating scandal end?
4:11 - I don't think so...
But I still like Man City
The worst penalties taken I have ever seen in my life (by Gillingham) wtf?.
City don’t have history
Theyve existed for almost 150 years, seems like a pretty long history to me
