Wow, watching this again i just realized that from the 1991 to 2001 scenes that the color of the coaster and supports changed to make it look older! I can't belive the detail that you've put into this! This is literally amazing!
This was very touching & I'm sure brings back memories for people in different amusement parks who remember certain roller coasters since the day they were put in, who have now been taken down from the parks. You always remember your best times on them & wish they had never had to end. :)
Great Short Film. I have a similar love of an Oldder Wooden coaster myself in St. Louis called the Screamin' Eagle. It doesn't get much foot traffic as the others, but it's still the one that I make sure I ride before leaving. (Plus I did some research on the Pippin that you speak of, while it is long gone, a working identical one is now in Wisconsin to pay tribute to Elvis' favorite coaster!)
Swell-My-Eyes-AMAZING! Brings back memories... My 1st: None other than THE kiddie coaster at Rye Playland. Then Monster Mouse. And to this day I cherish the picture of me on my first BIG BOY coaster... sitting all alone, clutching for my life on the front seat (Prior & Church train) on The Dragon Coaster... Since that day over 35 years ago, I've been coaster hooked!!! Thank you again for the amazing film.
I love this video. I can't even begin to say how amazing it is. The story was great that you added with the roller coaster and how it was a symbolic memory of the kid's past and how he never wanted to forget that coaster because it is what kept him close to his dad. That's how I feel about the Voyage at Holiday World, it keeps me connected with my little minime.
wow that was more meaningful and hart warming then any movie iv seen on the big screen. great song choice, really make the emotional impact even stronger.
The last picture is its current location, at Bay Beach in Green Bay, WI, which is about 2 miles from where I live. They just moved it there 3 years ago. I didn't realize that thing had such a history to it, or any history at all, really.
*sniff* When i deleted my old wooden coaster for my new hyper coaster i didnt realise, i'm so sorry can you ever forgive me. from this day forth i pledge to bring back old smokey just the way it was and gosh darn it it'll be free for all!! Thank you thank you for showing me the error of my ways.
SO...MANY....FEELS!!!! BRAVO!!!! This video touched me so personally because I lived through the exact same thing, except my "scary ride" never got rebuilt. 8(
im gonna be honest, the story itself didnt touch me that much, but the work and all of the editing was really really great, and the coaster + scenery and supports was terrific, great job!
Amazing camera work and editing ! You are very talented. I would have probably love a little more if it just ended at Pippin being demolished but they film was still amazing. I'm subscribed. :)
This was the best rct3 short film ever!! How did you get the camera to move? Do you think you can make a sequel?! That would be amazing!!! Thanks for posting this
At first i thought his dad was going to be dead when he wanted to ride with him, i feel terrible, but i loved how he got him to drive to the new park where it was rebuilt at
I was so not expecting the emotional roller coaster that this was. This was amazing! :) Great job!!

Loved the "corporate tie ins" bit a lot, and the shots of the coaster fading out were wonderful.
