I saw Belly at St Andrews Hall in Detroit on their first tour promoting Star. It was a great show. Lots of energy from Gail and Tanya. Makes me feel old how long ago that was. 😢
Fun fact: Star started life as the Breeders second album.... The original plan for the Breeders was that Kim Deal and Tanya would alternate lead vocals for each album. Thank fuck that didn't happen. The Breeders and Belly are two fantastic entities in their own respected rights. ✌️❤️🎵
Nice. The last time I saw them play live was at a Virgin Megastore on Sunset in Los Angeles. I wanna say it was 1995? It’s been such a long time I’m not sure if they played Feed the Tree. Good memories.
Lots of negative comments here. No, it is clearly not Belly's best live performance. But let me just say this - Belly's worst performance is still miles ahead of what passes for popular music today.

Dang, I know that I'm getting old as dirt, but it's still a shock when I see people in show business getting older too.
I know what you mean…
To grow old is a blessing.
Gotta love dirt!
After a rough start, she still hit those high notes. What an amazing lady. Had a big crush on her back in '93. Of course, who didn't, right?
Tanya is stil very attractive
you think so ?

I’ve had this song since ‘93ish, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen them perform it
Absolutely beautiful twenty years ago it was stunning. Thank you.

In Philly them boys didn’t understand why they had to take off their hat
Such a great band, as is Portishead
I ❤how Gail still ❎’s up!!!! ❌❌❌
Her vocals are really underappreciated.
Still stands: “ Take your hat off, boy, when you’re talking to me.”
wha!!!!!!!!!!!! Tom and Gail switched sides?
Great song but they could use a few more months rehearsing. I saw them in 93 and they were great
Female bassist. Always be a crush
