Every time I think I've seen all the Hendrix footage that exists, something " new" shows up! Thank you God, for seeing to it that Jimi's all too short life and career was so well documented and recorded...ditto for Duane Allman. It seems like nearly every concert these two artists performed was recorded, and each set was unique and worth hearing over and over!
Mitch Mitchell, one of my favorite drummers he was a jazz drummer and brought those chops to this music,as a drummer myself I always thought he should have been recognized more, exelent drumming
Nice colour footage, sometimes Noel's backing vocals could ruin a live performance, his mic was often too loud, it would sometimes overpower Jimi's vocals. He tamed it down as time went by which is good. He seemed like a cool and fun guy, also talented in his own right. I wish he and Mitch both had more success after Jimi's hit job.
Could be ... or sometimes it was the way it was recorded at the time with recording levels high on his mic, but wasn't that way coming out at actual performance for the audience. There's a lot performances that were recorded poorly like Beatles 1966 July 1 concert John's guitar was really loud and distorted during She's a Woman. I'd say it really didn't sound like that live. Just poorly recorded.
I’ve seen a couple live performances where Noel completely drops the ball and Jimi just had to go along with it. Like starting a song in the wrong key.
I hate Sixties camera men trying to create some type of vibe with weird camera angles and such. All we want is to see the performers. Speaking for myseld.
