Man I cant comprehend how you manage to airbrush that bright green between those 2 black panels without having any overspray contaminate the black. What kind of wizard airbrush is this loll ?!😅😅
armour reminds me of mordor cave trolls. this is super helpful man. I have a lot of orks to paint. been trying to find ways to make them look good fast and I think this is going to make the difference. already have access to an air brush so excited to use this technique.
Excellent tutorial and great results you go through quite a few solid techniques in this, super impressed! What ork model is that though? Really cool details!
As far as the wash medium goes, have you found anything from a company like liquitex or golden that does the same job? Or perhaps a future floor wax acrylic type of medium?
its possible that something is out there. im a "if it aint broke dont fix it" kind of guy, so i only use the army painter washes and sometimes the citadel shades bc its what i have. the army painter system is great so i havent been shopping around for different types of washes. and i dont use liquitex brand anything, never even heard of golden. are you in a region where its hard to get army painter?
Nah, I’m in Houston so plenty access to near everything. I actually just picked the wash medium on the way home to try out. I’ve been painting minis for 21 years so I’ve settled in on different colors from different ranges and I’m always curious how things compare. I’m digging the videos. Keep em up. Btw, I’m kinda surprised you didn’t just use the yellow/green wash method you used in the skin video. (At least I hope that was from your video!)
Hey man I think you should swap out your light source for a whiter bulb and use a lighter back ground colour, your videos are really dark and kinda hard to see :) great videos regardless
yes. initial cost of an airbrush set up is obviously more than a rattlecan. but...the time and money spent over time is significantly less. plus its objectively a better and faster way to prime and basecoat your minis. plus u can do the awesome color gradients that are only achievable through airbrushing.
Thanks for the tutorial! Do you recommend building the model completely like this before painting if given the option? Versus leaving the arms off, for example Edit- also, do you recommend any particular airbrush setup for someone who’s never used one before, but with experience painting models by hand?
a simple color scheme that checks all the boxes on a tournament paint rubric, plus a little extra, that can be easily replicated by people who are trying to get better at painting. Or for people who want a fast way to paint a ton of orks fast, but still have a good looking army.

This is the best quick-paint tutorial for orks on youtube my man!

Great job. That Ork looks awesome!
Looks really good.
Love the Painting job
Well done, bud.
Always very good job.
I see we had same idea for conversion.

Bit late, but it is from bloodbowl.
What model is this? it doesnt look like a regular 40k ork boy
Where did you get the magic airbrush that doesn’t overspray on everything?? Holy smoke, I need to practice.
easy, fast and pretty

What is sticking out of the front of your airbrush?
the pronged needle guard
Well damn. Now I feel kinda sad about my Orks.
Great work, but I do not recognise the miniature, who makes them?
GW. its a model from blood bowl
Cool thx
Fantastic video tutorial, great looking mini. Did you use satin varnish to seal the mini?
i always use matte varnish to finish a model.
Thanks for the quick reply!

ORKtober!
Is it worth investing in an airbrush once the majority of my non airbrush paint runs out?

whatever is easier. badger patriot 105 is good. but i pretty much use the badger sotar 20/20 exclusively.
Jack Of Clubs Painting thanks for the response! Cheers!
What model is this?
its a bloodbowl ork model thats been converted.
OH man i want a whole 40k Ork army to look like that. Great tutorial as always man.
if u care about good looking ork infantry, using these guys instead of the regular boyz kit isnt that much more expensive. u gotta get gun bits though
@@jackofclubspainting8125 What parts were converted?
@@weemanling just the hands
The lesson and the paint job are spot on, but for thr first three minutes miniature appeared black to me because it wasn't very well lit
Looks fine for me.
well..it's because it was painted black...
TOURNAMENT QUALITY LOL

@@jackofclubspainting8125 i said because its really nice paintwork!
haha thanks. could have gone either way. glad it was positivity instead of negativity! :)
