I assure everyone, the Chanel graffiti is safe and well cared for! It has many siblings and the pink denim bag has taken it under its flap and is taking care of it,
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the *jklux* leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
I don't have a luxury collection, but I do have a lot of high street bags, and I can relate to feeling overwhelmed and not using or loving certain ones enough. I have recently parted with several that I just wasn't using and wasn't drawn to anymore, and I'm enjoying what I have a lot more.
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the *condup* as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
Amelia, I was particularly struck by how you sold your Chanel bag to Meredith. It’s a fascinating aspect of the luxury goods community, where items can circulate among friends and like-minded enthusiasts. This not only helps in refreshing one's collection without constant spending but also strengthens bonds within the community. It’s like having a rotating wardrobe that keeps giving-saving money and reducing the fatigue of seeing the same items. It’s brilliant because it fosters a sense of sharing and connectivity, enhancing the joy of owning such beautiful pieces by seeing them appreciated afresh by someone close. Could this be a future trend in sustainable luxury consumption? It’s delightful to think of a community where everyone benefits, sharing their treasures and experiences. What a fabulous way to deepen friendships and enjoy luxury responsibly!
I can definitely relate with feeling overwhelmed, I sold 3 and bought 3 this year! I also have my 40th birthday bag to unbox. I’m brutal if I stop using something I sell ❤
I agree that the re-issue was replaced by the cruise sequined one. It's probably my fav of your Chanel minis. unless you're trying to create an archive, you don't need to hold onto bags you're not using. People fall in and out of love bags. The first designer bag i ever wanted to buy (never bought) i have no desire to buy now. If i had bought it, I might have sold it at this point.
I think that it’s a wonderful thing to be true to yourself, Amelia Rose . It obviously was the correct decision for you. I really admire you for that. We all should endeavor to be that way. Thanks so much for sharing. Kudos!
I’ve started being better about putting away my bags at the end of the day so I have to pull a bag to use each time. It has made me rotate around more by consciously picking. It’s also made me more satisfied in my collection and shown me where gaps do and don’t exist. I know I need a WOC and I also would love a non-LV chocolate bag but otherwise I’m feeling very settled.
Love Meredith’s comment on the bag. I can totally picture it. Lol. I feel and understand the need to enjoy what we have. It was a stunning bag that was loved and is now in a new home. ❤
I loved that bag!!! I do take comfort knowing it went to Meredith and that she may show it on her channel sometime. The Chanel Graffiti Mini Reissue is the one that got away and I kick myself for not getting on time:(
OMG, what would Karl say?! 😱🤣 Only joshing with you, babe. When it's time, it's time. Least you know she's gone to a good home, maybe one day you can visit her? 🩷
It just makes a lot of sense! Why keeping something that you don’t really like anymore? I totally understand the feeling of being overwhelmed! I would never get to a point where I own 100 bags, not even close to it actually because of that feeling. We all have a point where it feels like too much. I’m good where I am now but I don’t see myself adding and adding. I reached a point where the bag needs to be either super functional for me or so special that I just can’t pass on it. These situations happen less now having a bigger collection. I admire from afar and I might sell some bags in the future, who knows. It just to say that we can change our mind as we evolve.
I understand the overwhelming feel of having too much. I think your totally practice intentional buying. (all my favorites do, Autumn, Dayle, Connor, Caleb and Nick). It makes your channel interesting and relatable. You have very creative content without relying on mindless buying and endless un-boxings. I think the LA collection Chanel is much better than the graffiti version. It's different enough from the sequined lady Dior. You are your own person.
omg I just found you! I am at that point and I sold a bunch of bags that my friends were wtf... but I feel better... if you do not carry because it is not a choice... sell or gift... new bag prices are out of control so must be a love for me....
I really enjoyed this, as always. It sounds like you did the right thing. The new sequinned bag is fab, though I still like the animal sequinned bag a bit more.
I can totally relate! I haven't been buying as many bags this year and am thinking to downsize just a little more...Even though I liked all my bags, there are some that I am not as obsessed with anymore, and they are so expensive... it seems like a bit of a waste! A part of me also wants to buy a few more dream bags...so downsizing a little, may not be a bad idea! Sometimes you just know when it's time to say- out with the old, in with the new!
You know what…no one and I mean NO ONE ASKED..but, Meredith was a good sell. She will take care of it. I think, if you had to do it- it should have gone to her.
To be contrarian, I have to say the Graffiti bag is hideous. There is nothing authentic about it, certainly not the gold paint which is so non-graffiti in combination with the double Cs, and the lettering, too regular not authentic. It's a high end take on graffiti and to me that's cringeworthy. It's only to be exceeded by the Chanel Franken-monster one that Dayle had with the crazy stitching. It's a case of good riddance IMO. It looked like an abandoned craft project that had been suddenly repurposed. As I said to Dayle it only should come out on Halloween. Sorry Meredith but I'm perfectly sure you still love it and enjoy it. Just not for me. I'm hiding in obscurity so nobody can diss my bags lol!...but I'm sure some others would actively dislike many of them. It's just how it goes.....if there wasn't controversy it would be boring!
you just went on and on hahaha, looking at the lips bags behind u and u got rid of the graffiti bag!!!! doesn't make sense. Your thought process just doesn't make sense, in a way I think u need to think harder with ur collection cause u made the wrong decision :P saying this as a fan.
I assure everyone, the Chanel graffiti is safe and well cared for! It has many siblings and the pink denim bag has taken it under its flap and is taking care of it,
It's living its best life with Meredith ❤
lol! Love this!
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the *jklux* leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
At least you sold it to a friend who you know will take care of it and maybe will let you borrow it for a special occasion if you’re missing it lol.
So true

That's how i was feeling

I'm starting to let them go when i don't get the feels anymore

This is so true

Thank you so much!
It all makes sense. Can’t wait to see what you got!
Thank you!

I'm much more settled with it than i've been in a long time
It's totally cool. There will be other bags both to buy and sell in the future. Turnover is a healthy thing. ❤
So true
Love Meredith’s comment on the bag. I can totally picture it. Lol. I feel and understand the need to enjoy what we have. It was a stunning bag that was loved and is now in a new home. ❤
Yes! Thank you!

I would love to visit her!
I think it’s a beautiful thing to pass on beautiful things you once loved to friends ❤
Agree!
Between the two I loved the one you picked - I do not remember seeing that one before. Very sharp looking. 👛
Thank you
Before watching the video, at least you can be happy it went to such a good custodian. You know she will cherish it!
She absolutely will
I love ya. And I love Meredith. But I’m still on team “I can’t believe you sold it”
lol!
Like someone else said in a comment, you sold it to a good friend. That should give you a warm fuzzy 🥰
I think so too!
Ted Talks on handbags...Best idea yet 😂
I loved that graffiti bag and will miss it from your collection, but glad it found a good home!
Thank you!

For me it’s definitely the right thing to do!

Agree with this totally, when it doesn't give me the feels anymore, time to go
I think giving to your Southern Hemisphere Sister was a good call…the new one is very similar
Love this!
I prefer the sequin LA bag. 😊 Enjoy!
I love it!
you do what best for you I am so happy for you
Thank you
Very well said and understood. Do you sweetie. That’s what I do. You have a beautiful collection enjoy it.
Thank you so much!
30 bags is a nice number ;) I’ve watched too much Derry Girls and now I’m hearing Erin ;)
Ah Derry girls!!
I think I promoted you sell it to Meredith ;) I like the bag, so I’m glad there’s nothing against the bag apart from you didn’t wear it very much ;)
Yes! Thank you!
i think it's terribly romantic that Meredith has the bag now - i would love to have one of my best friends have one of my best bags.
I love this too
I think a lot of people are looking preloved now ;)
You know what…no one and I mean NO ONE ASKED..but, Meredith was a good sell. She will take care of it. I think, if you had to do it- it should have gone to her.
I agree!
Smart move if you’re not 100% in love with it anymore. No reason to hang on.
Thank you
🖤💜
IMHO you shouldnt have to answer to anyone but yourself!
Thank you!

The lip bag might be sentimental
The Lips bag carries the memories of younger more carefree days; it’s staying put 😂.
This was one a lot of people were going go disagree with! And the lips bag has a lot of memories!
