  • Hey all! This is a quick explainer on how to sidechain internal instruments (machines) on the Elektron Syntakt. This also works for external signals if you route the incoming audio to track 16!
Please let me know what you think and if you would like to see some more Syntakt / Octatrack videos.

Awesome video, really hope to see more Syntakt tutorials from you (also soundpack sometime in the future maybe?)
Furthermore I want to add that when playing less rhythm-focused styles of Industrial or smth close, another good practice is to do everything the same way, but using FILTER envelope with the HPF instead of the AMP one - this way excessive lowend from the bass is still reduced to make space for the kick, but without the pumping effect

Cheers dude! I like that idea with the HPF... I'm going to experiment with that tonight. I like the idea of it for sure. I could see it adding an interesting texture if I dial it in right. Cool tip! I appreciate it
Also, sound packs probably coming this summer! I'm thinking I'll likely do 2 small cheap ones to pilot it out.
Thanks for dropping a line! Good to hear from you!

Thank you for the amazing tutorial! Please make more Syntakt videos. Also, personally, I'd like more Octatrack videos and insights into how you use them in your setup.
I really love your sound and energy, and I believe more people need not only your educational but also fun videos. Thank you!
