Honestly, Bluey isn’t even that “woke” to begin with. The most liberal aspect of the show I can think of is the subject of interracial relationships; but even then, it’s simply represented by different dog breeds as couples (such as Rad and Frisky).
Correct me if I am wrong, but it isn't mostly progressive people the ones in favor of "gentle parenting"?
I think another thing that would be considered "woke" by conservative standards is the use of gentle parenting throughout the show. The right wing tends to have a problem with parents and children communicating their feelings with each other and would rather use corporal punishment.
I don’t think that the people at the Daily Wire think Bluely is woke. They are just make a show that is “heavily inspired” *cough* ripping off *cough* by that show for their platform of anti “woke” shows that will 100% not have any “woke” elements to it. If that makes sense. This isn’t a “We are fixing Bluely by making an anti woke version”, but a “We made a Bluely clone for our anti work platform.”

Honestly the most “woke” thing I could see in Bluey is how the parents treat their kids like people, and the adhd representation with Jack
because normally with the vase majority conservatives parents, mainly in the US and even some of the UK, they usually treat children like dogs who are afraid of balloons or thunderstorms and fireworks, they think that children don't have a unique personality until their 18 or older, which children do, and it's sad how some countries like the US think parents rights are more important than children's rights who deserve to be treated as actual human beings.
It's also sad that most conservatives don't usually take the ADHD representation seriously (Which I also have ADHD) because i've seen some conservatives usually treats us people with ADHD as an after thought and that we should be serious or whatever it is.

Another thing I wanna add is that it's not just conservatives who think children aren't serious, is the very strict parents who don't think that their children aren't serious, and they give them ultimate punishments or grounding them for the smallest mistakes and they should taking their own responsibility on such a young age.
Of course not all strict parents aren't like that (Of course it's because I have strict parents too) but my point is that parents in general should know that their kids are serious as normal human beings, they just think differently from older people

I'm concerned that this exists. More so that Matt Walsh is in it. I don't like to get political but when someone is advocating to LOWER the age of consent & they put thier Rabbit OC in a KIDS show, I'm sensing multiple red flags.
Also I watched an episode Last Week Tonight recently. It was the one about homeschooling, which talked about how some people use homeschooling as a way to commit child abuse.

I hear homeschooled kids who try to defend homeschooling and say things like, "Actually, I got to socialize A LOT, probably more than most kids did." and then they basically tell me that they went to a zoo that one time 8 years ago and would sometimes visit the grocery store with their mom. I feel like the majority of parents are not equipped to homeschool well. There's a reason why being unsocial is a common stereotype with homeschooled kids.

As a homeschooled kid, I went outside… and realized that I preferred NOT to go outside shortly afterwards. Socialization would be a lot more enjoyable if public schooled kids weren’t so poorly socialized and hostile towards homeschoolers. There’s a very good reason why public schooled kids are stereotyped as being bullies, sociopaths, and uneducated slackers. They’ve earned that reputation.

Homeschooling is far better than public school. Public school is the polar opposite of an education. Public schooled kids can’t even read until they’re 9 or 10, while homeschooled kids can read by the age of 5. If Bandit DID homeschool Bluey and Bingo, they’d be so much smarter than their public “educated” peers.

Shout-out to another good kids show: "Danger and Eggs", a lighthearted and quirky show on Amazon that managed to go over topics like activism and inclusivity in a lighthearted and fun way.
One of my favorite moments was when the local "big business sometimes bad-guy" calls his secretary and says, "Call my dads! They are gonna love this!" (or something like that). In a later episode, you see all three of them enjoying time together at the park.
Also the fact the lead character is a genderqueer lesbian!

Whenever I hear about anti-woke children's media, I think of Jim Henson. I think about how he used TV to educate children. How he used a puppet show to help people connect. And how that same puppet show keeps on running to this very day.
Jim Henson's shows, even if they're not airing anymore, hold a special place in the heart of the public, cuz they were made to make people happy and to help the youth learn.

So far, my biggest problem with chip chilla is how they girl's problems are overlooked and she's always the "bad guy" in her episodes. That and how aggressive and destructive the son is, and it's never addressed or corrected. Whelp guess the lesson is that boys will be a danger to society, I guess. Also the needless colorcoding of the characters? I was so hapoy when i realized the main character in bluey is a girl, not a boy, but of course they had to change that, along with adding skirts and eyelashes to the demale characters
Bluey is such a GREAT show! It teaches actual lessons to both children and parents alike, such as how to deal with kids misbehaving. It also shows fun ways to spend time with your kids, like all the games Bluey shows the parents playing with Bluey and Bingo. Not to mention teaching kids to be open with their parents when they have a problem. Like Bingo did when talking to Bandit for playing too rough with her. It teaches good morals and gives support to first time parents as well.
I bet Matt Walsh DESPISED yoga ball where Bingo learns that boundary with her dad.

As an Australian who has a little sibling and has been watching bluey from day 1 it does p'ss me of that a bunch of weirdos are ripping off our pretty much only internationally recognised kids tv show to spread lies and misinformation
Back in my day, I watched Little Einsteins, Lou and Lou: Safety Patrol, Bananas in Pajamas, Bear in the Big Blue House, PB and J Otters, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Johnny and The Sprites, Wow Wow Wubbzy, Peppa Pig, and many more came out on Playhouse Disney or Disney Junior in 2000s and mid 2010s.
i feel old now bc all that styff came out when I was a teenager or adult 😭😭 we had like uhhh arthur and stuff. I usually didnt watch preschool shows tho even at that age I gravitated towards stuff like fosters home for imaginary friends

When I babysit, I actually enjoy watching Bluey with the kids. They love the show, and it’s not mindless mush.

Bluey is a good show to teach kids realistic problems in good way by not throwing little kids into the deep ends of a topic, but giving it to them in a more digestible parts. Because you should be have a deeeeep talk about world problems with kids right away you introduce it to them slow. If I wanted to watch a dysfunctional family, I would just interact with my own, not watch a cartoon version of it.
Bluey is like that safe haven where I'm watching an actual understanding family learn and bond from each other, and a little voice in my head is saying this was my dream for a family. But somehow, the americanized thing of it portrays what feels like a dysfunctional dynamic of not respecting each other (and heavily forces gender binary presentation) and shallowness.
Since Ben Shapiro is involved with this will he have them make a episode where the infant character gets Circumcised (knowing how he disgustingly defends the practice of infant Circumcision)?
The right would attack the show if that happened because in some of their eyes, Shapiro is (((one of them))).
This might go unnoticed BUT believe it or not, this isn’t the ONLY show Chip Chilla has ripped off. Apart from some concept art, the character designs were actually blatantly stolen from the Deer Squad, a mostly commercially unsuccessful but critically acclaimed kids show acquired by Nickelodeon. Despite being dropped from poor ratings (which stems from an entirely different issue), Critics love it almost much as they do with Bluey… So hopefully people take notice that TWO quality shows have been robbed.

@@Neoncaffeine Well… I’m not surprised, that’s where the “other” issues kick in. See, Deer Squad almost aired on Disney Junior (it’s an acquisition so production didn’t jump ship). And the voice of Kai, Brody Allen even confirmed it indirectly in an interview. But basically, the show is about four (later five deer) that save the day with planet powers, HOWEVER… The show is MUCH more than that, Kai, Lola, Rammy, Bobbi and Jade (she debuts in Season 2), are all in their teenage years and have very upbeat realistic personalities and the brilliant subtle writing of the show had issues tackled such as drug use (in the form of crystals, the minerals not meth 😅), the environment… it’s kind of liberal biased but it’s NOT at all in your face… and for a Chinese company like IQiYi producing this, it’s amazing how far they go with the development…
Also Professor Scratch is an absolute charismatic wisecrack scientist who works for the most greedy man in Platnium City (based of off Qingdao), Sir Steele. However his character is ALSO a subversion, as he’s a satirical envious anti-villain who’s just jealous of the Deer Squad… Need I say that the humor is ON POINT. Barely any cringe, and this is coming from writers who don’t have much previous experience but are CLEARLY gifted…
The show even has a nostalgic Frutiger Aero aesthetic to it… So you’d think a show with this much and love and care would stick around for a WHILE right? Nope. Nickelodeon did a hostile bid for the rifhts of the show and won it over Disney, development and casting remained the same, but Nickelodeon manipulated the ratings with the ever declining Paw Patrol and by the end of the first season (actually not even as the last ten episodes of Season 1 have yet to air in the US and Canada), they were dropped. Sadly despite acclaim, audience scores sided with Nickelodeon and trashed the show with not even real reviews, more like insults.
Again, everything I described couldn’t POSSIBLY be done with the writers of Paw Patrol, in fact Deer Squad was made to TAKE OVER the Paw Patrol on Disney Junior, but that of course failed and there’s evidence Nickelodeon bought the rights to make sure it didn’t happen… Seems all but true.
However, the show’s currently in it’s third season, if your lucky, it’ll air in UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, as season two survived there and even had some top rated episodes of the week…
So yeah I could go on and on about the Deer Squad, really I could, especially with me being a huge fan myself BUT the fact is they’ve already been screwed over by a cheap show for quick profit and now screwed over by another one from a hated conservative talk show host…

What I think is so unbelivably irking about Chip Chilla is that it uses the usual "idiot dad" trope. Of course it's used for comedic purposes but the problem is that it completely rips off another, actually educational show which breaks away from that trope to also teaches parents how to be better at parenting overall. There's no use in it, seriously!

Ignoring the whole conception of the show being aimed for a conservative audience, Chip Chinchilla faces the same problem as many other shows that ride off the coattails of successful shows it is emulating: it attempts at copying the formula without understanding why it works.
Like Bluey is a great show due to the amount of creative freedom it given the writers and animators, ability to tackle mature subject matters without sacrificing the child friendly tone and overall presenting a healthy family dynamic that makes it relatable to all the viewers of the show.
The other show just took a look at it and assume the success was just talking animal family and think injecting its traditional family values would make it great, despite the fact Bluey itself already has the theme of representing a trad family to begin.
Basically, Chip Chinchilla is just a show with no identity to call its own.
People like ben shapiro, matt walsh, etc. are all failed hollywood screenwriters who grew bitter about not being accepted into hollywood studios for gigs, so went for a conservative grift. When you look at their writing, their stories suck ass, and have no soul to them. Because they're all idealogue freaks who can't see past their own narcissistic culture war fixations to craft a decent story.

I fear for the kids who grow up watching that cartoon. Like I just know there are parents somewhere out there in America who are so conservative and so against Woke culture that they don’t allow anything Disney related in their home. Bluey follows Montessori style semi-permissive parenting. The dad for the most part is very permissive towards his daughter’s antics but there have been a few times where I am glad he set ground rules for the sake of discipling Bluey and Bingo - but he does so in a funny way; my favorite recurring bit is when he limits TV time by literally pretending to stand in the way and generally being an annoyance to his kids before turning it off and taking them to the park or library.
This show makes Peppa Pig look like Bluey, and this is someone who unironically likes Peppa Pig over Bluey.
