When I first saw this cinematic I was simultaneously amused with Alisaie being a total mood, and impressed with how far they've come in playing with camera angles and the models.

It's _ury-onjay_ not ere-onger, that's not even close) told Hildibrand about the prophecy of the Seventh Umbral Calamity which lead Hildibrand to investigate Dalmund (the red moon) and after a while, confused himself into thinking he was the prophecised hero who would end the calamity. This ultimately lead to him misfiring Nael's gunhalbred which a farmer bought from Corethas which rocketed him to the surface of Dalmund (Hildibrand is blasting off for the first time!).
Urianger's always been a bit extra for literally no reason and only he can say that without Y'shtola giving him a right bollocking (reprimand) or tell him off, but ya gotta love him though, he's so sweet. and Alisaie is literally the biggest mood in the whole game from start to finish
If you read the lore, he's literally always been king dramatic elf, apparently got into prophecies at a young age which is why he speaks like the entire output of William Shakespeare. I still love the guy, and his function in the story as 'King Lore Bomb'

I only just now got it. I'm dumb and unobservant, and it wasn't until near the end of 5.4 that I realized that Alphinaud's and Alisaie's weapons and clothes were their pre-5.0 loadouts. I always assumed her "mood" here was due to being bored out of her mind, it was because Tataru had made everyone else's 5.0 gear before theirs.
It's also a little meta in how somewhat underwhelming the other scions were often considered before this expansion. They all got some much needed development. I do wish the twins got their outfits back though. Alisaie's does not have nearly enough red on it.
To be fair, apart from the outfits, I don’t see any reason for them to change. Alphinaud still uses the grimoire louisoux gave them and alisaie has her crystal rapier, which was pretty much made for her by Urianger in stormblood to be a better weapon than using a pure aether sword
Not knowing anything about this game, it's actually Alphinaud I think I resonate with. Like he's just sitting here, enjoying his tea, happy with life. My guy.
It's worth a pop and you don't need to pay a cent till the back end of Heavensward. ARR is glacially paced but it sets up the world-building and rote job familiarity quite nicely.
If you do decide to get this game, don't be disappointed if you find Alphinaud a little on the side of, "who is this sassy lost child and to whom must I return him to?," at first. He goes through *sooooo* much character development and it's beautiful.

These two act exactly like me and my sister. My sister didn't realize she IS Alisaie until Shadowbringers, but she was always saying I acted like Alphinaud. Once she started to quest and got to specific ShB parts, she started paying attention and now realizes Alisaie is HER. So now people we know who know the both of us call us "The Twins" even though we're not literal twins. Those two sound just like us.
The extra meter was the cherry on top of the cake. And I love the fact that this is likely foreshadowing for either 5.5 or 6.x where the twins will get new outfits and change jobs (again, in the case of Alisaie)
The WoL’s idea of a date is a never ending adventure with Their cat baby boi. What you didn’t see before this was the WoL and Graha coming back from a raid with the WoL carrying him bridal style
That whole last sequence at the end of Shadowbringers gave me life. I spent a bulk of that whole bit dying of laughter. Edit: the “wow” as Alisaie jumped, nearly made me choke the first time I watched, and it still does as I rewatch.
Ah yes, my favorite scene of this expansion in the category "hearty laughs". Always loved these two. Alisae being moody, banging her head on the table and sliding down the chair had me rolling. When she complained about personal development, I felt for her. xD
This was such a better scene then a lot of their previous interactions. Every time the twins are on screen they get better at making them feel natural and i dig it.

I do plan to try it someday...and if the language from the developers is any indication, this will be the end of the first saga before FFXIV moves on to greater adventures. They just released it on the PS5 last year. This game is going nowhere and will be there when I choose to pick it up...but thank you for the encouragement.
Alisaie is the sort of RDM who just charges and spams the melee attacks in leveling roulette, never once building mana. She also runs ahead of the tank.
I've been asking this for years but, would I just LOVE to see Ali get an overhaul makeover with like her hair down and a badass red mage costume. If not a new job/costume since she mentioned her "not learning new martial arts" :OOOO

Urianger’s job meter is the Extra Meter. It fills up when he sasses someone. Once it is filled he can unleash his ultimate, where he roasts his target so hard Hydalyn feels it.

I do plan to try it someday...and if the language from the developers is any indication, this will be the end of the first saga before FFXIV moves on to greater adventures. They just released it on the PS5 last year. This game is going nowhere and will be there when I choose to pick it up...but thank you for the encouragement.

Alisaie is the sort of RDM who just charges and spams the melee attacks in leveling roulette, never once building mana. She also runs ahead of the tank.
She is also the RDM that pops limit break as soon as the gauge is full. Like that is legit programmed into her when running Trusts.
This is the video that has convinced me to make a new character, and pay attention to the story(afterARR) this time around.
This is why I like alisae so much. She's salty when she doesn't get new armor and literally jumps at the opportunity to have a fight.

Urianger’s job meter is the Extra Meter. It fills up when he sasses someone. Once it is filled he can unleash his ultimate, where he roasts his target so hard Hydalyn feels it.
