Finding Treats | Appalachian Trail Documentary

- How do you begin to tell the story of the adventure that changed your life? I guess with the first step.
In March of 2023, I took my first steps on the Appalachian Trail. A 2,198.4 mile footpath from Georgia to Maine.
After 6 years of planning, obsessing, and dreaming I was finally following the iconic white blazes down the trail.
I always knew in my heart that thru hiking the AT would irrevocably change my life, but I had no idea the extent that I would evolve.
The trail provides. I walked away with the best of friends who gave me my faith back in humanity. On Day 5, I climbed up a mountain behind the person who would become my adventure partner. The trail gave me the best version of myself. It broke my heart and fixed it too.
Because of the Appalachian Trail, I will never be the same and yet, I am still just the girl who dreamed of tapping white blazes.
I climbed that goddamn mountain and then some. Til’ the next one ❤️

I wanna go back too! In some ways its such a cool thing that we all had such a different experience even in the same year. Because so many people loved some of the sections that I look back on with disdain and vice-versa. But I think the Long Trail is somewhere in my future because of how much I loved VT. I think we met in Maryland? You definitely added some laughter and joy to our adventure every time we got to see you! Thanks for watching, it means a lot! We hope to see you down another trail in the future ☺

I never say "In my real life" I say, "In my urban life." I have always thought it took away the validity of the trail. Now for me my trail life is much more normal than my urban life. I have a month before I start my 11th Thru-hike in my 6th country. The AT was my first, and still one of my 3 toughest. And is definitely my first love ❤of Thru-hikes.

Treats shat N amazing summary of an amazing adventure to Walk no Thru Hike the entire length of the Appalachian Trail. Your unique style presentation and storyteller voice like presentation just lifted me up and took me along and allowed me to experience your emotions and your joys and your disappointments but you did it in such a beautiful way. I saw that Ranger gave you a compliment. That’s a big thing because I followed her as I still do on a lot of her adventures. I hope to see you continue on and posting things about your life as a person who spent the last two years watching and joined other people video their adventure of the Appalachian Trail when I sometimes miss is that I don’t get to know how their life continues on are you? I’d love to know what you do in your life to earn a living and I’d love to know if you and your Trail partner she’ll together. I had a niece hike the Appalachian Trail in 2023. Her real name was Pinto. I don’t know if you ran into her. I’m 72 years old and think about hacking the trail and don’t know if I have the physical capability to do It, but I yearn to experience the Trail community to have some of those experiences to see the beauty of nature and become closer to God in a more real way than any other way you can. Thank you for this video. I pray that you are well and happy but somehow I already know that you are.❤😊

Oh my gosh! I teared up at the end! Such a heartfelt and well-spoken summation of the trail. I definitely feel you on being bummed out to not finish with the group like you thought you would. 18:10 was my favorite shot!
